How Do You Make Custom Boot and Shutdown Animations with Sound? - Moto E4 Plus Questions & Answers

I've been trying to make my own boot and shutdown animations using gifs and audio files, but nothing I do seems to work. I have used so many programs trying to do this, as well as trying to do it manually, to no avail. Has anybody been able to make their own boot and shutdown animations for this phone? If so, could you explain the process to me? Thanks.

[Q] My nexus one bootanimation is delayed!

one day when I was playing around with clockword mod and selected restart adbd(I thought it meant the adb daemon but I guess it means something else) in the advanced options area.Well I consider my self pretty tech smart and "advanced" for a 13 year old but I guess things happen. Now when I boot my nexus one the actual boot animation(not splash) is not showing for the first 3 quarters of the boot up. Then I thought I bricked my device because the screen wasn't showing the animation for 20 sec. Then I saw the touch-sensitve buttons light up and then 2 seconds later the animation apeared only for 2 seconds untill my device was booted. I tried overwriting the boot animation in both /system/media/ and in /device/local/ ad it had no effect. I dont know what to do. I am rooted using universal androot because I want to be able to unvoid my warrnaty. So my bootloader isn't unlocked. I am running Cyanogen Mod 6 and am loving it so far! But I am wondering what to do? Should I re-flash the rom? I tried pressing restart adbd again and it did nothing? i have not done a Nandroid restore because it will mess up my apps that are on the sdcard if i restore back. I dont know what to do!?!?!?!?!
Restart the phone again and see if the problem continues.

Exactly how long did you wait? It's probably rebuilding dalvik cache, which can take 1-2 minutes extra if you have a lot of apps.
Yup...if you've wiped the Cache/data...The Bootloader Screen will stay on for a longer time than usual...and the Animation screen will be less. Nothing is wrong with your phone.

[Q] Nexus stuck on boot animation

Please help me, I couldent find a similar problem, (unless its boot loop, never actually described)
I have a stock N1, latest build 1.2.3
I was just using it as normal, was deleting all my texts using go sms pro, but for some reason they wouldent delete. when I restarted the boot animation played continously, ocassional staggering then starting again.
Im not sure whats wrong.
I can boot into recovery (vol+power right?)
Any help would be appreciated.

Edit: sorry for the trouble, figured that i might be a app gone rogue, so cleared data, all good now.
I wouldn't use that app anymore, in case it messed up phone
While in the bootloop, pull battery, reinsert, and pwr on--sometimes works
If you are not rooted, not sure--If rooted, you can do a restore

[Q] Strange cracking and popping sounds when installing through Kitchen Pro

Hi, I'm playing with new CheckROM NoteHD™ V6 and I have some issues with Kitchen Pro. When I want to install something, for example a boot animation, when the SGN is restarting to install it I hear some strange cracking and popping sounds. I don't get this when I reboot either by pressing a power button or through command from Rom Toolbox.
The second strange thing is that I have to install boot animations manually, because for some strange reason Kitchen Pro only restarts SGN in CWM Recovery and stops, doesn't matter if I tick the CWM Recovery Fix or not. To make it even stranger Kitchen Pro installs kernels automatically (the way it should do it with animations too) without any problem. I'm clueless...
I'm posting here cause I'm a noob and don't have access to development section.
Well looks like I've overlooked something... cracking and popping happens even through Rom Toolbox, I didn't notice it because I had my phone on mute. Either way I still don't know what is causing it.
And I think that autoinstall might collide with CWM Recovery (the one with touch feature), as now even kernels doesn't autoinstall.

[Q] CM12 Theme Engine boot animation

Do boot animations in the theme engine work for anyone else or am I doing something wrong? They work fine on my nexus 4 but the nexus 6 retains the default boot animation. An example is the dark material theme. When I apply it on my nexus 4, I can reboot and see the blacked out boot animation. On the nexus 6 I get the default CM boot animation. I can change it if I replace /system/media/bootanimation.zip. Adding /data/local/bootanimation.zip has no effect.
Some nexus 6 have boot animations in the /OEM partition that override all others. Depends which nexus 6 you've got (getting carrier version)
I do have the ATT version, however I removed everything from that partiton to get rid of the boot animation it was pulling from there.
Same Issue Here
I am experiencing the exact same issue. I got my Nexus 6 from Google and the OEM partition is completely empty. Soft reboot displays themed boot animation. Full reboot does not. I believe this must have something to do with permissions during boot. I have flipped the SuperSU flag to apply during boot up (Which, maybe, worked one time?).
Still looking for a solution...

+1. I dug out the bootanimation from the theme apk and placed it in system\media chmod 644.
Found a temp fix

[Q] Making a custom boot animation

Hello,
i have been looking for instructions on how to actually create my own boot animation.
The only things I found here was a guide on how to place boot animations, how to create one from a video file and a tool on how to make your own boot animation....
however:
there is actually no instructions or I have not seen them how to actually make the boot file, I want to something similar to evervolv boot animation with my own text. the tool seems the way to go but it says that I need part files, how to make them what do I actually need to do? a pointer would be really helpful and appreciated.
thanks
