I think this is bad! - Galaxy Tab S2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was installing xposed on my 810 and things went to hell. I can only reboot to recovery and download mode which shows an error in the Pic. I have no idea what happened or what to do. Also get error when trying to flash stock firmware with Odin.

As long as you can get in to twrp only some data may get lost, is it not?

That's what I thought. But I can flash a new ROM but only boot Into twrp or download mode. I can however see the system and files through twrp file explorer. Something is corrupt but I'm not sure what. Odin stops after the first step of flashing and fails.

I'm using Odin 3.10.7.its usually pretty good for me. The error was
NAND write start!!
FAIL!
It falls in its warranty from Samsung. Is it possible to extract just the stock recovery from an image and push back on with adb. They may not liking booting to TWRP when they turn it on. If it's that bad. Appreciate the help.

Just noticed the tablet says SECURE CHECK FAIL : PIT

Why are you trying to flash firmware for the T810 when your device is a T813, totally different device? No wonder the firmware won't flash!

I saw that too. It is an 810. I have 2 of them! Im not sure what made that change. For more detail here's the scenario before it went to crap
-installed xposed app
-installed 3minit rebooter
-reboot to recovery to flash xposed zip
-flashed arm 64 version instead of arm
-reboot, but only goes to recovery.
-cursing, throwing stuff, failure

put the extracted firmware files into c:\odin
delete hidden.img and cache.img
then the command in cygwin to change to that directory would be
cd /cydrive/c/odin
then enter the re-tar command as described in my guide and flash the n910f.tar file with odin! this will work 100%!

Ok finally got through the change directory, created the tar as described and flashed it with Odin. Stuck in bootloop. Tried installing twrp recovery, either failed with odin or when trying to boot into recovery it automatically went into download mode.
Flashed my regions stock rom through kies emergency recovery. Boots up fine, works fine. Next flashed the 5.1.1 Tar image. Same problem, endless booting sequence (gets up to home page and then reboots).
Anyone have some suggestions?

[KERNEL] Permissive Lollipop 5.1.1 kernel for T710/T810

This is a permissive kernel with rooting restrictions removed.
Due to the new security policies in 5.1.1 you will need this kernel to root your device.
This will trip the knox flag thereby potentially voiding your warranty.
I hold no responsibility in any case if you decide to flash this product.

Officially its not available yet, but im trying to modify the t810 kernel for the t815 for when they release the 5.1.1 rom
I had a bit of a challenge to get this installed on my SM-T710. I couldn't get Odin to install the kernel using either boot or AP. I did get this working by installing your TWRP build, extracting the IMG file and having TWRP install the IMG file.

Odin froze/did not complete on the flash. No fail message or even window greying. I tried 3.10.6 and 1.85. After about 10 tries, I decided to use twrp to flash the image and it worked fine.

Tried 3.10.7 and several older versions with no luck. Was able to root by flashing the image file in twrp and then flashing the autoroot tar file in Odin so I'm good to go.
The tar package must have got corrupted in the upload or something.

from what i understood they were flashing twrp in odin... from the instructions I read it appeared you could update to 5.1.1 and then begin the process...
Do I need to flash back to 5.0.2 and if so which one? I've got a US 710 wifi.

I just got the root working...
no need to go back for 5.0.2
from 5.1.1 stock..
1-flash TWRP
2-copy t710_5.1.1_boot.img (pulled out from the corrupted TAR) place it in your Tab
3-go to TWRP
4-select install from Image
5-flash t710_5.1.1_boot.img
6-go back download mode, and flash the CF_auto root
7-go back download mode again, and flash the TWRP again
8-go back and verified got Rooted and Custom TWRP
Thanks

The stock recovery gets reflashed by the OS when you reboot. To prevent this from happening you have to reboot immediately into recovery after flashing. TWRP will then patch it to prevent this from happening.
If you disable 'Auto reboot' you can reboot after flashing by holding POWER + HOME + VOL DOWN then immediately switch to VOL UP whilst still holding the other buttons when the tablet restarts.

You cannot flash custom rom in odin even if it's in tar format.
Check twrp version should be latest and must be for your particular model.
Make wipe first before flashing any rom to avoid and errors.

T599N Won't boot trying to fix

Hi,
I have SGH-T599N that has been sitting around for a while and I wanted to give it to my son. When I turn it on, it gets to the initial splash screen with Samsung Exhibit on it, but never gets past there. I went into recovery and did a wipe, but it still will not boot. So I figured I would try to resurrect it with Kies, but I don't see a serial number on it, and even serials I have found on the web don't work.
Looking for any pointers or paths besides junking this and finding another phone. I tried to use fastboot to flash the recovery with CWM to see if I could put another or factory rom on it, but that just sits with a message that it is waiting for the device.
Thanks

Here's a 2-file SGH-T599N_T599NUVAOH1_T599NTMBAOH1_1124899_REV00_user_low_ship.7z - 487.43 MB
It's a user_low_ship so I guess it should still be the same partitions included as in a 4-file.
Back up anything you want to keep before flash. This will wipe everything.
