Soft Bricked P9 L09 C150 - Huawei P9 Questions & Answers

UPDATE 2: Some things can not be fixed without proper tool. All i am left is to send it to service.
Which i did. Talked with a guy, explained and he told me he need to see it and test it with some tools. If can be fixed COOL if not i will sell it for parts and **** myself. Apperently some things need to be left to proffesionals.
PS. Will never get Huawei again
UPDATE: After trial and error i have TWRP instaled. Problem is i can't flash any rom because i got failed to mount /cust ,/vendor/ product (invalind argument) error. Also can't find stock flash rom for L09C150
Hello, i have problem with my phone, and this is 2nd night i spend working on it. Would appreciate any help!
Phone before trying to do anything: L09C150B367, Phone is from Hungary on Telekom (Pink T logo).
Tried to follow debranding guide (https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/how-to/guide-debranding-to-c432-updating-to-t3551523) because i am sick of not having updated and unlocked global version. It's been long since i did anything with android and root so i tried and found guides on XDA.
Steps i did: found code for bootloaded, unlocked bootloader with SRK tool and instaled TWRP. Downloaded C432 and placed to SD. Trying to force update with Vol+,-, and power combo but update stop after 5% and say invalid software version. Somewhere i read that root is needed. Tried to root with SRK (Couple of times and different guides), not working for some reason. Phone is still unlocked with TWRP. Read somewhere (it was 3/4 am this night) that full wipe might solve it (note, i could boot into old OS). Did full wipe on TWRP and voila, not working. Can't even log on because no OS detected. Tried to find stock firmware to flash from SD card, no luck. All links i found either don't work or my recovery have ,,not correct version" error.
Now i have unlocked bootloader, custom TWRP recovery and no OS..essencially highteck-flashy brick.
What i want: Stock unbranded EU firmware.
Ps. Only phone, i refuse to burn 250e
If you are kind and free and KNOW how to do this, you can contact me via Discord and talk me trought this!

Weird error on Honor 5C LEM-21 TWRP boots but stock recovery does not.

So, i tried flashing meticulus ROM by This guide, but it said that other version of recovery is needed which is meant for P9 lite and it should work on 5C. Then i did read that it does not work on EMUI 5.0+ and i did restore my old rom back. But the weird thing is that, my sound, microphone, video playback and nothing of those features work currently. Everything else works fine. I tried restoring OEMinfo, trying the dload method and such but nothing is making me able to downgrade. Has anyone has any similar problems before, because i checked that my OEMinfo is right but dload says "incompability with current version" so im unsure whether the problem is with the UPDATE.APP or my phone. TWRP works and i can flash things with it, but i'd rather rollback to the original ROM so i can install Lineage OS. The funny thing is that i tried flashing this multiple times but it will not boot but hangs on "Your device is booting": https://forum.xda-developers.com/ho...covery-stock-recovery-download-honor-t3521504
Camera isn't working either. Tried flashing Elite ROM to see if that works, but ended up in a bootloop. eRecovery does not update via wifi because it says that "cannot get package info" or something similar.
I flashed the oeminfo zip and tried to restore old nandroid backup. Now it only boots to eRecovery and says "getting package info failed". It's not booting into fastboot either nor recovery.
Managed to get into fastboot, but can only gain access to the product ID via software i guess and cannot get key without that. So now im stuck with locked bootloader, without rom and a stock recovery that is completely useless. Does anyone know if huawei support can help me?
They can help.
But you cam try dload method. There is a quick guide in my signature for the same. let me know in case you need any further information or help

Actually there was some problems with the internal memory. Im not sure if i did damage it or did it have something to do with faulty hardware.
Anyhow it passed warranty so i did not get charged anything. Maybe i'll keep the phone as stock for a while at least

Need help fixing phone

Good day. I have the Huawei P9 EVA-L09 model and my build number is C432B386.
I tried rooting my phone a couple of months ago and failed, so I gave up. Yesterday I tried flashing TWRP, it said it was successful, but while trying to enter it, I always get the "Your device can't be trusted... Your device is booting now." I completely gave up on rooting or flashing another ROM so I went to relock my bootloader. It was successful, but while the factory reset part, I got an error in eRecovery (Package download failed or something like that) and after that I restarted my phone and it was factory reseted. My problem is, eRecovery now says that my partition is heavily damaged and needs a wipe. So I tried doing that and it failed again. Now I'm left with a Huawei P9 that doesn't have any stock apps and I can't activate bluetooth (and who knows what else doesn't work but I haven't discovered yet)
If anyone could help, I would be grateful. I don't even know where to start fixing this. I just want my phone back or the MagicRainbow v3 ROM, but I'm not skilled enough to fix this alone.
I am just a beginner, too, so maybe you should wait for more experienced answers...
I would try to find the original images and flash them via fastboot. As far as I understand it, this would fix the corrupted partition.
But again, I still have little knowledge and an almost bricked phone!

The partition is fixed, thank you. But I still have a lot of problems. My bluetooth won't work and I no longer have any stock apps. I don't know what to do...
Could you tell we, which ROM you have installed? Is it the stock-ROM, or MagicRainbow? If it is a custom ROM you might need a gapps-package like in LineageOS...
If you want to get back to stock, you can create a dload folder in your sdcard and put the update app in it. Than a restart with a special key combination (power, vol down and vol up I believe) will install it.
I'd strongly advice you to read in this forum how to do this, as you need the right recovery corresponding to your ROM, as far as I understood.
I did this with a wrong ROM and now have a phone with no keyboard, only google voice recognition... So be careful!
I would download and install by DLOAD folder the downgrade package... Then flash a full firmware b136 or 182
But you have to be on cust c432 as far as I know.
There are a lot of info regarding dowgarde to MM. Look for it and take your time to be sure the steps to follow

Restored Stock Rom through TWRP not booting

REALLY IN NEED FOR HELP:crying:
Followed this guide youtube.com/watch?v=2tAeNZdTyeY to install Resurrection Remix on my P9 EVA-L19. After booting the phone, it is just stuck on the boot animation. I panicked and restored to the stock rom. After booting the device, it gets stuck at the "unlocked bootloader" screen.
So I tried to restore the rom through the eRecovery process but gave me an error.
So then I tried the dload process where I copy the UPDATE.APP to my SD card(FAT32) and failed. it stopped at 5% and said "Software install failed!"
I really don't know what to do next.
Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.
Thanks.

There is a RR thread for P9, I'd suggesr to ask there about the RR installation and issues (these topics opened under Q&A practically nobody reads, specially not those few who know more about RR)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/rom-t3767344
For safe reverting back to stock you should have used HWOTA method (maybe it will still work if your Bootloader is unlocked and/or you have TWRP for EMUI 5.x)

I don't know if that is possible, I know it's too late now but whenever I'm going to play with ROMs or so, I save screenshots of my Settings/About and all things like that (IMEI, etc), just in case (like this case).
Maybe you can figure out by:
- was it International cust c432, Mideast c185, or provided by some operator, see
https://www.huaweiblog.de/firmware-update-was-bedeutet-cust-emui-und-co/
- have you debranded the phone
- btw, before installing RR did you check if RR is compatible to install over your (at that time) stock ROM
- Have you installed a firmware from FirmwareFinder, by DLOAD, HWOTA or other methods
Eg, if it was c432 and if you did not manually update, it was likely b393 as the last approved build for L19

I fixed the phone! I used the link u shared about the HWOTA and followed the steps. I did a lot of research about the model number and the cust and found out on the Huawei site that my phone is the EVA-19C185. So I installed the update and it worked! Thank you so much for your help. Really appreciate it.

Cant unroot and Relock P10 Plus - 10hrs trying :(

Hi All
Sorry to drop in your forums and start off with problems but yea, need help. I spent the whole day (10hrs no exaggeration) trying all sorts of methods mostly from this forum and i am still stuck.
I had problems with my P10 plus so long story short i decided to root it etc, it is still working ok but many of my day day apps refuse to work rooted so im happy to go back to stock again.
But i seem stuck in loop of problems:
- Tried dload folder method but update always fails
- Tried HWOTA folder method but again fails
- Tried to relock bootloader but i get "command not allowed"
- Tried and tried to remove root, but SuperSU has binary occupied error, no SU files etc to delete either (not sure how i rooted i followed some guide)
- Closest i though i got to success was using Firmware Finder app and proxy, it fully downloaded and rebooted to install but again failed on reboot
- Cant flash recovery with anything else or boot as the "command not allowed" error again
Heres a screenshot of my ADB errors:
https://ibb.co/c9yK7y
Every post ive read i seem to stumble:
"remove root by returning to stock" - Cant get back to stock.
I tried this often recommended post https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...ution-bl-unlockedfrp-locked-fastboot-t3684302 but again cant relock as is says root is risk, and cant seem to remove root either.
Someone help me please, literally aching all over as sat here all day!
I feel for you, I had the same problems, tried every suggestion I found. I tried HWOTA version. 2 times it didn't work, but 3rd time it did. It can lock bootloader again in process but it's only to unlock and do again. I now did the HWOTA solution 2 times with success. I had the HWOTA folder and 3 files on me external SD card when I did it. Good luck!!!
Do a complete factory reset, downgrade to Nougat, factory reset again for safety, lock bootloader, update to Oreo.
How to downgrade is written in a tutorial here in this forum. But you're in the wrong forum, this is for P10 VTR, you have a P10 Plus VKY and there's a special XDA forum for that - don't know why so many people can't read and/or Google correctly to find the right forum for their devices...

Huawei 20 mate lite soft bricked

Hi , soft bricked my Huawei Mate 20 lite. Model is SNE-LX1 HW/EU. Did a firmware upgrade to frp unlock Since then get black screen with yellow text saying a new OS has been installed and device reboots in recovery. Reinstalled already different firmware versions via sload SD card upgrade + use fastboot to unlock FRP code. Fastboot unlock command completes successfully and device does automatically a low level format to then come back to "different os installed message. Anyone advice ?
Hi phitilip, I can't help you on the bricked part (yet). I assume you tried to use Huawei Hisuite software to restore the original firmware so you could possible start over?
I recently got my Mate 20 Lite and haven't messed with it too much (yet!). I do have a question for you though. How did you get the bootloader unlocked? The only way I have found is to pay some random person/company for an unlock code. Trying to avoid that. By the way, I'm in the USA and also on SNE-LX1 with a 'global' designation.

Hi , the unlock code I purchased was for the FRP unlock because I was told would solve my problem and although the code is correct and allows to do a factory reset it will not solve the "you installed a new software ..." message. When looking online I found that I probably installed the wrong region code firmware but tried everything and cannot get the phone to boot normally. Any advise would be very appreciated.
Can you get to recovery or download?
I'm much more familiar with Samsung devices so my frame of reference is there. How did you flash the new rom? What tool? Where did you get the rom from?
Since you can reset to factory, but that still gives you the error, the only way I can think of so far, with the very little experience I have with Huawei devices, is to find two things if you can. First try to find a 3rd party recovery like TWRP or CWM or possibly use the tool you used to flash the ROM. Flash that if possible to the recovery partition. Then find the original factory firmware for your device and region, even if you have to go beck to Android 9. Then from recovery, or the tool you used to flash new rom, flash that. I'll do some research and see if I can find anything you haven't. From my limited searching for my own Mate 20 Lite, there doesn't seem to be much out there. What's your objective in all of this? Are you just looking to root? Did Hisuite play any role in this? The good news is I have the exact same device as you so I can try some things while it's not bricked
