Google Cam 5.0 Apk dont install - Moto Maxx Themes and Apps

Hello All,
im trying to install the 5.0 version of google camera app, but doesnt install, the installer says that the system isnt compatible.
ive selected the version compatible with nougat, but still saying the error.
Im currently using Resurrection Remix ROM (RR-N-v5.8.5-2018-03-24-Quark-Mod)
Someone can help me with this?
Thanks you!

It won't work. Starting from v4 Google only released their camera app for arm64 devices, while our beloved Moto Maxx has an armv7 (32-bit) CPU. Some older versions work with our device but they're just slightly better than the AOSP camera.
You may want to try this Moto Camera which was ported from recent devices. I keep switching back and forth between this and ProShot ever since I got this phone.
This thread also contain ports from other OEM cameras, but keep in mind that some of these won't work due to the same reason I mentioned below.

[Q] Is Xposed compatible with KFHD (2012 model)

I'm sorry to bother you but I can't find an answer, when I google closed+kfhd I get all sorts of unrelated stuff. I downloaded the installer but it shows a peculiar message. Its written on the attached picture.
It seems odd to be but not impossible. The install button is a little lighter than the rest so it might not even let me download anything, but I wanted to ask before trying and getting stuck in a bootloop or worse fo no reason.
your android versions is lolipop? (5.0+) isn't support this version
and latest support of xposed is kitkat (4.4.x)
Oh I see... So this was the problem? Thanks for letting me know, I was really surprised, I thought it was a processor issue. I suppose they'll make a lollipop version eventually ^_^

Samsung Galaxy Camera 2

I recently purchased a refurbed Galaxy Camera 2. I got it rooted, but want to install a custom recovery. I went to TWRP (preferred), but they don't offer a recovery for the EK-GC200. I see where some have installed a custom recovery, but for the life of me I can't seem to find one for this device. Can someone help me with this? I'm not new to rooting on installing custom recoveries/ROMS, and not new to Samsung (I rooted my s3-my Note 4).

I came across this today. Its a custom ROM of Android 5.0 for the galaxy camera 2 and provides a suggestion for the recovery.
I HAVE NOT installed this on my Galaxy Camera 2, so I cannot speak to it, but the recovery should at least be helpful to you.
If you do decide to install Lollipop on it, lemme know how you like it. It looks like its a stock 5.0 as if it was just an android device with no special camera stuff. Not sure if Samsungs Camera App is downloadable separate, or if there is just a better camera app in the play store that would be more useful.
I am curious about this ROM, but just got my camera yesterday and dont really feel like installing a custom rom on it yet. So far thing runs like a charm with everything I want disabled and turned off, so i have no real reason to want ot change it.
anyway, heres the link:
*for some reason I cannot post the link into the reply without part of it getting starred out.
Just google
"custom roms for samsung galaxy camera 2"
and its the 4th result
The article claims you can just download from the playstore and install recovery.
2. Install the ROM Manager on your Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 Gc. Get it from Google Play Store, then install the clockwork mod recovery. You also can use ROM Installer application from JRummy Apps Inc.(Get it from Google Play Store).

The article is fake, which is pretty obvious if you do any kind of fact-checking or research and I expect trying to flash anything it links to will brick your camera. There is no custom recovery available for the GC2 yet. As far as I know, I'm the only one that has been working on one (and I haven't released it yet because the zoom/volume inputs aren't working currently). There is no Lollipop build for this device either, custom or official. To the best of my knowledge, Samsung hasn't commented if they're going to release a Lollipop build for this device or not.
The $450 price tag turns away a lot of developers to this device. I was able to score mine for $200, but I work full time and take classes when I'm not working. I can't commit to developing for this device in my spare time.
WoW! I didn't know that XDA Developers are developing ROMs for Galaxy Camera! Maybe I can try it...
Bump for this!! I would LOVE a walkaround cam like this. )

Snapchat lenses

Hello guys ! I was wondering, is it possible to get on our Moto G 2014 snapchat's new functions ?
Thanks in advance ?
snapchat barely works for me
I'm curious about this as well. It says the Lenses feature doesn't really work on older Android devices, but our phone was released just last year. It probably has more to do with the actual specs than anything else though. I've seen people with Galaxy S 5s and iPhone 5s that can't get Lenses to work.
According to comments in Play store the new update is not working on any Android even newest flagmans . Only iOS users can use the new effects, hope they come up with new update so we can have these new features too.
To begin with it didn't work for me, but now it randomly started working lol
It worked for me on Stock rom, but on 5.1 roms didn't. Fortunately there is xposed module called SnapchatLensesEnabler and it work for me on AOSP 5.1. I think it will also work on another roms with xposed installed

Any rooted 872 users gotten Xposed framework installed and working...?

...I tried but ended up with a boot loop and then had to restore using TWRP...
But I may have done something wrong, as this was my first time trying to install it.
Anyone got it working?
This belongs in the questions section
You have to use the magisk xposed module, you can't flash xposed standalone. Though I may be wrong, so double check since I'm only using magisk modules not xposed.

I actually gave this a try tonight using the 24 version of systemless installed with Magisk. The bootloop is longer, but it's a bootloop, so I am restoring.
Warning to anyone messing around with this -- do a TWRP backup (and Titanium backup if you are really paranoid)...in my case I had to again restore from the TWRP backup...
Also, mods you can move this to the Q&A section...sorry I am the OP and should have posted this there...

Your right this should have been on q&a. You said you used 24 version. You need to download and install the SDK 26-27 assuming your on android 8. SDK 24 is android 7.0 and 7.1 is sdk 25

I'm on Android 7.0 rooted T-Mobile H872, hence SDK24 -- I thought that's all we had available besides Lineage 15.1 which I am going to try a bit later.
If someone has a rootable Oreo ROM for the H872, I'd love to try it
Thanks,
MW

There is another ROM called aquariOS its better than los in my opinion. The developer is working on making a thread for it. I'll be working on the kernel myself standalone so stay tuned! The G6 is gonna be lit. Oh and its android 8.1

That would be great, please count me as an early tester. The current Lineage OS 15.1 has camera issues, and that is something I need for both video and pics with young kids and a business to run. I thought you could just lift he 7.0 LG camera app out of stock, but I guess there is more to it than that...

I'll get with the developer to add u as a tester. Also ya its complicated to port stock camera that's y I use arnovas gcam it works awesome and has portrait for both front and back camera. Also keep in mind that although its better than los. Some things still need fixing but for what u describes above, u should be OK.

That's nice hope it's going to be made officially available for G6 T-Mobile H872, unlike other custom Rom that didn't include us the T-Mobile version users.

What is WiFi ACN and can you send a link to to ROM? If it has working camera and video, telephony basics work (including TMobile WiFi calling), I'll try it.

Speaking of this -- what happens if you install an H870 or non T-Mobile custom ROM that was for another LG G6? The only difference would be the LTE bands supported, and I don't know if the ROM needs to be updated for that or if it is all handled through the SIM / Qualcomm Chipset.
I have xposed working properly on H872, rooted 11g version

Question on options for custom Android 9 or 10 ROM

Hello!
Any custom Android 9 or 10 ROM which has all of these features (and works well overall)?
1. Working GCam OR full stock camera (any of the two is fine);
2. Working camera button;
3. Night light.
Also, am I correct that the Oreo AOSP Extended has both of these options?
Thanks in advance.

As I mentioned in my other post full stock cam and Gcam GO is available in:
Linagege OS: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xp...rom-lineageos-17-1-unofficial-coming-t4047763
Havoc OS: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-xz1-compact/development/rom-havoc-os-v3-6-t4113345
The shutter button works in Lineage OS, but is broken in Havoc. But you can use the double tap to open camera gesture.
Also Gcam Go is a lite version of Gcam with only portrait mode (not yet working) and HDR+ available. Hopefully more features will be ported by developers.
Night light is available in both ROMs. Others I have not tried.
Hopefully this helps.
Thanks a lot. That's very useful.
Hi again. I noticed one can install LOS17 starting from the latest (and probably last) firmware. I assume this entails losing DRM keys. Are they worth saving anymore?

As far as I know there is no photo comparison album comparing camera quality going from a DRM restored firmware and non DRM restored firmware so I don't know how much of a difference it makes.
But the ROM developers do recommend backing up DRM as it is might come in useful in the future or if you want to go back to stock. Based on what I have seen in the Lineage OS thread it is unknown why the camera works without DRM.
I would recommend backing it up since once it is lost it is lost, and restoring it to the official firmware before flashing a custom ROM guarantees that you have the best possible camera quality.
As addition info:
As far as I know there is no way to re-lock the bootloader which might make it harder to sell it so if you are planning on selling I would not recommend unlocking the bootloader.
Otherwise, happy flashing!
Wise advice about the drm. Thanks again.

I made the switch to LOS 17. It took me some 5 hours to downgrade to Oreo, save DRM, switch back to Pie and then install a fully-working LOS (the first two installs generated some issues with both cameras - the stock Sony did not focus or take photos at all, while the stock LOS was not saving pics - and with the SD); but it then finally worked (procedures followed were the same every time, go figure).
Also, I lost my attest keys in the process of downgrading to Oreo (although I did remove all persist and *.ta files before flashing); and the camera was black after this downgrade - but then the procedure worked eventually and the camera came back fully featured in Pie, somehow. Again, go figure.
All in all, I am happy for the switch and the LOS 17 is absolutely great. Will definitely buy modpunk a beer.
Now, if only there was an equally good procedure and ROM for my other phone, the xz2c, which Sony ruined with the upgrade to Q .
Thanks once again for the encouragement.
