Does TA1005 model have band 12? Some sites say yes, some no? Thanks

I might have an answer to this. I recently bought a TA-1005 SS HK 11A1NB21A05 variant. On the box label it lists these LTE Bands 1/2/3/4/5/8/12/13/17/20/28/38/40/41.
This is odd because for some reason Nokia Support when I last checked stated that there were no variants of the Nokia 8 Sirocco available that supported US LTE bands. On the box label it clearly shows otherwise. Other sites and LTE band checking sites are conflicting too.
Do you know if there is a way to check band locking or available bands from a diag menu? I know of the Info menu available from the dialer, but maybe there are other hidden menus to confirm this with.

To follow up on this I see wifi calling and VoLTE provisioning are good. I still don't know officially if band 12 exists but the phone works fine on T-mobile.

I have a Nokia 8 Sirocco TA-1005 "11A1NB21A05" variant and it does support LTE Band 12.

Yes, but don't count on getting an LTE data connection. Voice and HSPA should work fine.

The GSM Dev Edition and GSM Unlocked (shps with T-Mobile or Net10 sim) are both the XT1053, and will work on ATT just fine.
Keep in mind the XT1053 is missing support for LTE Band 5, which ATT is now using in some areas. So if that is the only band ATT is using for LTE in your area you wont get LTE with the XT1053, but you will fall back to Hspa/Hspa+
The XT1053 is also missing support for LTE band 7 which supposedly isn't being used in the USA.
That being said, my sister-in-law is using a GSM Unlocked (XT1053) in south eastern PA on ATT just fine for everything, including LTE.

While your info is relevant, the phone linked in the OP is the VZW Dev editon. @blackviper71 's post was correct regarding that device. Moot-point though, because the device is already sold.

LTE in the MI3 !!??

Hello everyone,
I just came across Some threads where they said that some of the MI3 have the MSM8974 which has LTE modem so I checked mine and it has the MSM8974 one by using "QPST configuration" and found this

}
so i continued looking around so i found this thread which is made to unlock other bands for the opo and he used "QXDM pro" to change some values so i tried using it and found that there is actually some LTE config values like this
So Does it make it possibly to make the LTE work on our device !?
and anyone else could verify that they got the same ship MSM8974 !?
and i know that this is nearly impossible to do but who knows
I also had done some research on this matter and I found out that mi3 is not lte
They changed the motherboard which is actually MSM8274 NOT 8974...
You can check it yourself by using atutu benchmark.....
Some people even say that xiaomi have cheated us but the fact is that they never said mi3 is 4g to begin with

So why the qualcomm tools shows that it's a MSM8974 because that sounds weird
but i guess the only thing that could prove this or no is to rip off the device and check the chip directly
Also Cpuz shows that it is 8974 I don't know why...
But there is no way to use 4g bcoz there is no proper hardware (antenna)

as the lte config have no value i may try to input some values to test out but it's risky i think
No matter how much you tweak with the system how can it work with missing hardware.... ?

4G icon on SM-N960F with T-mobile (US) running XME CSC

Hello,
I have a SM-N960F mobile with version SAOMC_SM-N960F_OXM_XME_OO_0018 XME/INS,INS/XME. Mobile network shows a 4G icon instead of the usual LTE icon. Is it possible to get LTE support without rooting the device?

Did you ever come to a resolution? I am considering picking up a SM-N960F/DS Samsung Galaxy Note 9, installing LineageOS 17.1 with MicroG and use with T-Mobile in the US. Is T-Mobile US your carrier? Thanks for your time.
I don't see the issue as 4G is LTE. Having the Icon changed won't make any difference in performance speed

4G is LTE! So rooting will make no difference! Try this app as it allows you to lock network bands! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ray.samsungbandselection&hl=en_US might increase performance!
i spoke to soon 4G is not LTE LOL"While 4G LTE is a major improvement over 3G speeds, it is technically not 4G. However, most cellular carriers now advertise their networks as 4G LTE, because it sounds the same as 4G (or even better). In some cases, your phone may even display 4G LTE-A (Long Term Evolution Advanced), which is even closer to proper 4G."

P30 Pro not supporting VoLTE on all providers

Congstar in Germany (provider in Telekom-Network) now has VoLTE and WifiCall. Unfortunaltely, it works with almost all smartphones, BUT NOT with Huawei-Phones. My P30 Pro can't do VoLTE and WifiCall in Congstar-Network. If I put the SIM-card in other phones, it works.
There are customers from other providers that have the same problem with Huawei.
Why is that?
Yeah i searched to for some days now, and can not find any Option to activate VoLte here in Luxembourg with Tango Provider. I Phoned the Tech support and after 3 Persons i got someone that say to me that for now they only support Iphone and some Samsung Phones...
i will try to find someone with an other Provider and try with oder Sim Cards.
I think this is a very bad design choice from Huawei, to not even show the button, instead of a gray button and say it is not compatible with my Provider.
Model: VOG-L29
Build number: 10.0.0.186(C431E19R2P5)
Android 10
Security Patch 1 January 2020
But they don't do it.

I don't had any VoLTE option in the s20 and note 20 and I asked on the telegram groups about this and yeah if you have a call and LTE at the same time that means VoLTE it's working fine, by the way how I can get in to that menu?

Hi
My Three provider in UK are supporting WifiCall and working perfect on my p30 pro, my wife's p30 working perfectly either.
Regards
Working both for O2 in Germany. AFAIK those are options provisioned by your provider. If they didn't "approve" p30, it won't be enabled. Some providers have an annoying bias towards iPhone and major Samsung flagships. Had EE before for which WiFi calling was enabled but volte not.

Question ESIM working on OFFICIAL UI4 on the US version?

Can someone who has a US version, whether unlocked or locked to a carrier, can you confirm if the esim is active (so phone can be used as dual sim)?
Some said it was the case on the beta...
Thanks
Unlocked on beta 3. I've been using e-SIM for like 3 weeks. E-SIM on T-Mobile and physical SIM from Europe. You can also disable any of them from SIM Manager anytime you want.
Yes I heard it works on the beta. Does it work on the official version too?

Yes it does
I can confirm there is esim option in Verizon sm-g998u andriod 12 next week i will add prepaid esim plan
I tried the TMobile version updated to official ui4 and esim option is there.
I have updated to Android 12 and since then i lost my ESIM feature from Sim card management menu. I live in germany. Anyone else experienced this issue?
Can confirm eSIM is working. I have the SM-G998U (Verizon, network unlocked). I got the Android 12 update a few days ago.
After the update, I had a physical T-Mobile SIM that I was able to convert the T-Mobile SIM into an eSIM. I popped out the physical T-Mobile SIM, then grabbed a local pay-as-you-go physical SIM from the country I'm in right now and both are working.
I get texts to/from my T-Mobile eSIM and have data from my (local) physical SIM. Works well!
I confirm esim working in S21 Ultra Snapdragon SM-G998U1 in Android 12 Colombia Bogota but keep in mind that in Colombia the esim only works with movistar
