P30 Pro not supporting VoLTE on all providers - Huawei P30 Pro Questions & Answers

Congstar in Germany (provider in Telekom-Network) now has VoLTE and WifiCall. Unfortunaltely, it works with almost all smartphones, BUT NOT with Huawei-Phones. My P30 Pro can't do VoLTE and WifiCall in Congstar-Network. If I put the SIM-card in other phones, it works.
There are customers from other providers that have the same problem with Huawei.
Why is that?

Yeah i searched to for some days now, and can not find any Option to activate VoLte here in Luxembourg with Tango Provider. I Phoned the Tech support and after 3 Persons i got someone that say to me that for now they only support Iphone and some Samsung Phones...
i will try to find someone with an other Provider and try with oder Sim Cards.
I think this is a very bad design choice from Huawei, to not even show the button, instead of a gray button and say it is not compatible with my Provider.
Model: VOG-L29
Build number: 10.0.0.186(C431E19R2P5)
Android 10
Security Patch 1 January 2020

But they don't do it.

I don't had any VoLTE option in the s20 and note 20 and I asked on the telegram groups about this and yeah if you have a call and LTE at the same time that means VoLTE it's working fine, by the way how I can get in to that menu?

Hi
My Three provider in UK are supporting WifiCall and working perfect on my p30 pro, my wife's p30 working perfectly either.
Regards

Working both for O2 in Germany. AFAIK those are options provisioned by your provider. If they didn't "approve" p30, it won't be enabled. Some providers have an annoying bias towards iPhone and major Samsung flagships. Had EE before for which WiFi calling was enabled but volte not.

Jio 4G stopped working after 400mb on honor 4x

Jio worked for initially 3-4 hours and I used around 400mb data but suddenly it stopped working completely and it's been 7 days since I am trying to figure out how to get it rectified. After calling the call centers of both Jio and Huawei and searching for information on google I get nothing. The sim works fine on other devices and I have restarted and reinserted sim trillion times
I am using Android Marshmallow on Honor 4x. Kindly help, this is the last place I am on before changing this phone.

According to my post quoted here, JIO doesn't support Band 3 in Jammu.

Just now noticed that Honor 6 H60-L04 does support only Band 3 LTE.
JIO doesn't have Band 3 LTE license for 4 Telecom circles.
You might have been in any of those Telecom circles I think.
Attached the Telecom circle list.

According to this list people in Bihar, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh (West) who are using Honor 6 can't use JIO SIM as Band 3 is not supported there.

But Honor 4X has support to Band 40 too. It should pick up Band 40. But in your case its not happening. There are 2 cases
1. May be your area doesn't have Band 40 support or something like that...
2. Your mobile receiver is unable to get Band 40.
Either one of the above might be happening.
Have you checked tour mobile in the same area where you checked it initially?
According to jio there is a network outage there, which maybe fixed soon
fixed your issue?

I might have an answer to this. I recently bought a TA-1005 SS HK 11A1NB21A05 variant. On the box label it lists these LTE Bands 1/2/3/4/5/8/12/13/17/20/28/38/40/41.
This is odd because for some reason Nokia Support when I last checked stated that there were no variants of the Nokia 8 Sirocco available that supported US LTE bands. On the box label it clearly shows otherwise. Other sites and LTE band checking sites are conflicting too.
Do you know if there is a way to check band locking or available bands from a diag menu? I know of the Info menu available from the dialer, but maybe there are other hidden menus to confirm this with.

To follow up on this I see wifi calling and VoLTE provisioning are good. I still don't know officially if band 12 exists but the phone works fine on T-mobile.

Airtel Volte on Samsung Galaxy Note 5 still not Working ?

Its been a year airtel launched Volte in Mumbai
http://www.bgr.in/news/airtel-4g-volte-launched-in-mumbai-heres-how-to-activate-it/
But still not so old devices that i have like Galaxy Note 5/ Moto G4 Plus/ Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 are not getting the Full Volte Support.
(Mainly seeking this to be able to use mobile hotspot on laptop to surf while i'm on a voice call).
I just received the 1st August security patch firmware update for Galaxy Note 5 but still Airtel Volte not available.
Who is responsible for this thing, Airtel or Samsung (Samsung is still giving firmware updates though).
I don't know who should be doing the right thing?
Jio 4g LTE Volte works absolutely fine for me for all these devices.
I know the devices i have are not in the supported devices list of Airtel Volte (https://www.airtel.in/volte/)
but i don't understand the how can we get bound to buy specific handsets just to use a feature (Volte) an ISP is providing
Is there any way i can make this work on my devices? Rooting + Patching some file
Someone Please guide.
Do i have any choice or i have to just buy a device first confirming it supports Airtel Volte..or just wait for samsung or airtel to coordinate and make it work for all devices who have the technical capability to support Volte.
Same issue here with Airtel VoLTE on Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Dual Sim.
Airtel VoLTE service is available in my area & I have personally tested on my Redmi Note 4.
Airtel still doesn't support this phone, where as it supports Galaxy S6 & S6 Edge which got released before Note 5.
August 1st security patch is the final update from Samsung for Note 5 & I doubt the phone will ever get a fix for Airtel VoLTE support in future from Samsung.
Even after many days of search, I couldn't find out who is responsible for providing VoLTE support for this phone, Airtel or Samsung?
Its pathetic to see a 2-3 year old flagship devise from Samsung doesn't support VoLTE for No.1 mobile operator in India.
Even budget devices from Xioami & other companies supports VoLTE out-of-the-box.

N9600 Wifi Calling & VoLTE enabled without root!

Hi folks,
Just discovered today that the newest software update on N9600 enables the Wifi Calling and VoLTE with my TracFone T-mobile SIM card!! I found this because when I was on the call it says "HD" on the screen, which I only saw on US version phones before.
My Dual SIM N9600 (likely from Hong Kong) has never been rooted or flashed with any CSC file. It's in its pristine official status except for the OTA updates every month. I remember that the VoLTE option was not available before this update, whenever I was trying to tap the "VoLTE" icon in the drop down menu it said "VoLTE is not available for this software version" blahblahblah. The June update is 500ish MB which I thought was bulky but didn't know why (in the What's New section of the update info it's just some very generic bs like improved performance and latest security patch)
I'm soooo excited about being able to use my phone on wifi with airplane mode on!:laugh: also the HD voice is really nice.

This is seriously great news. I've been planning to get a dual sim (exynos / snapdragon) so that I don't have to carry 2 phones (currently Note 9(960U1) and Note 5. One on T-mobile and another one on Mint mobile.
Would you please do a speedtest (speedtest.net app) on LTE/Data and post the screenshot. I am hoping the speed is good and if so Google Voice will work with out issue which is one of my requirement. I really don't like to go down the root/custom rom/CSC change route if I can avoid it.
If I buy on eBay, returning once opened will incur 20% or 25% restocking with the vendors I've shortlisted so like to avoid that.
Thanks much!
i see your on the TGY rom same here but in the latest update they have disabled it again!? now it says "volte is not supported by your current software version" are you experiencing this?

Question ESIM working on OFFICIAL UI4 on the US version?

Can someone who has a US version, whether unlocked or locked to a carrier, can you confirm if the esim is active (so phone can be used as dual sim)?
Some said it was the case on the beta...
Thanks
Unlocked on beta 3. I've been using e-SIM for like 3 weeks. E-SIM on T-Mobile and physical SIM from Europe. You can also disable any of them from SIM Manager anytime you want.
Yes I heard it works on the beta. Does it work on the official version too?

Yes it does
I can confirm there is esim option in Verizon sm-g998u andriod 12 next week i will add prepaid esim plan
I tried the TMobile version updated to official ui4 and esim option is there.
I have updated to Android 12 and since then i lost my ESIM feature from Sim card management menu. I live in germany. Anyone else experienced this issue?
Can confirm eSIM is working. I have the SM-G998U (Verizon, network unlocked). I got the Android 12 update a few days ago.
After the update, I had a physical T-Mobile SIM that I was able to convert the T-Mobile SIM into an eSIM. I popped out the physical T-Mobile SIM, then grabbed a local pay-as-you-go physical SIM from the country I'm in right now and both are working.
I get texts to/from my T-Mobile eSIM and have data from my (local) physical SIM. Works well!
I confirm esim working in S21 Ultra Snapdragon SM-G998U1 in Android 12 Colombia Bogota but keep in mind that in Colombia the esim only works with movistar
