Will custom (Oreo or any) ROM erase newly patched LTE bands? - Nexus 6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was successfully able to add Band 2 and 4 to my Shamu 1100 EU version today, which is great. However, I had a question for anyone with more know how and expertise than me.
Will flashing custom ROM get rid of the newly patched/acquired bands? I loved being on Nitrogen OS but had to revert to stock 7.1.1 before I could add those bands. While I am currently on LTE (with MINT Sim/Purple), I would love to know if flashing any custom rom would revert me to H+?
Update: Figured it out!! "Updated"/newly added bands aren't lost upon flashing custom ROMs AFTER the fact. Anytime interested has to make sure that
a) revert to Google stock, use the QPST and Motorola Diagnostic tool kit to add (necessary) bands, then root again, and the rest
b) I'm on Nitrogen OS May 8 build. Everything working flawlessly, with LTE at speeds up to 7 Mbps (prepaid on Mint) in my area on my XT1100

How to patch band in nexus 6 wich i am using in india and i have unlocked bootloader

Need Radio / Firmware with VoLTE Support

As title said, anyone can share OnePlus 3T , modem/radio and firmware which supports VoLTE in INDIA i.e for JIO..
Need it urgently , I have USA (North America) variant , currently VoLTE is not supported but 850 band is picking up fine.. Need help in this..
I got the 3T (US) on Tuesday and after upgrading it to Nougat, I could not get VoLTE and the SMSC configuration to work.
I tried different roms all with the same result. Going back to MM/OOS 3.5.4, VoLTE and SMSC settings did work instantly again.
So the firmware/modem is obviously broken.
Did you try a MM rom/firmware?
Later: Oneplus support stated the following on my report that Nougat OOS 3.5.4 breaks VoLTE, Wifi calling and SMSC setup:
"I highly suggest staying with the 3.5.4 update as of this moment. Our developer team is still working on it and we will make sure that the next update will fix these bugs."
First Android mobile after years of iOS - bitter experience. Such well talked about mobile and a pain in the a**. How can an upgrade plug a capability already available and make it a brick?
I had trouble with the OOS 4.0.3 and went back to the MM firmware, yesterday installed the 4.1.3 and no modem problems, LTE, VoLTE and VoWIFI in TMO US network run fine.
In PL we can only dream about TMobile delivering VoLTE to OnePlus devices :^)

Should i avoid of buying a Korean version of Note 5? (920S)

Hello xda. What are main cons of 920S version ?
Phone works fine in my home region, one thing that bothers me is would i be able to flash all variety of custom ROMs (from here) aside with global versions ?
For example, in [8/27 ERv13.7 FULL] TEKXodus ULTRA HYBRID thread (because it's one of the mos tpoopular ) there is no S-version support. So i won't be able to flash it on 920S, right ?
Also, what are the chances NOT to get the upcoming nougat update (because of korean version) ?
I'm a happy owner of N920s and would surely buy a Note 8 from the same provider.
I was using a beta version of ROM for N920K in the past
Currently I am using the beta version of Nougat ROM fo4 N920c.
And I believe that there is NO chance that it would NOT get Nougat update.
me too. Im happy with my device. There is code that access all network. 920s has the most powerful and rapid LTE bands. I Can get speed equally to Wi-Fi with full signals in region that international moderl never past 3 lines and average speed. Also I had custom Rom and kernel such Minotaurus and Infinity kernel. Work quite good. If you setup properly you can get excelent result.

Android 7.0 on T-Mobile

Hi folks! If you're on T-Mobile and run Nougat 7.0, can you tell me how your device perform? It seems that 7.0 wasn't tested by T-Mobile so I'm bit concerned about issues once I make the jump. Please let me know. Thank you

I'm on t-mobile and have used all the lastest img from google web site without an issue.
Currently I'm on Dark rom 8/27 build with the latest radio 05.45R and still havent had an issue. you should be good to go if you update with factory img.

Did you get the OTA update or did you flash it? Also, how's your connectivity? I had bad experience in the past after updating. Thanks!
I'm on 7.1.2 Pure Nexus (N6) and just made the jump from Sprint today. My number was ported by T-Mobile within 2 hours and the service is MUCH better. As a bonus, I can now call and use data simultaneously. Not possible on Sprint.
I've been a sprint customer since the early 1990s. That just goes to show how stupid I am ?
7.0 (Build NBD92G) is the current T-mobile supported build (but they sure don't say that anywhere on their website). T-mobile pushed that build several months ago to users on stock devices. I figure T-mobile has EOLed the Nexus 6 6 months before Google did, so plan to side-load the final 7.1 build when it drops next month.

I just bought a new unlocked Nexus 6 from Amazon. I would not have intentionally updated past the OS officially supported by T-Mobile, but during the setup, I accidentally upgraded it to Nougat 7.1.1. So far it is working great. This is the first Google phone I have ever used, and I like not having all the Samsung apps that I never use. It may be my imagination, but it seems to be running better than the Note 4 I was using.

This could be because Samsung has their own custom ui overlay "touchwiz" its been known to cause lag especially when the device is older and the software is back ported.
T-mo users, have you tried the latest 7.1.1? Since we just got the last update, I'm about to side-load. Any known issues on T-mo? I assume N6F27M is the one to go with?

Any 64 bit Rom (VOLTE Enabled) stable for this phone

I am thinking to change my existing rom and move to more stable 64 bit rom. Any help devs?
almost all the roms have working VoLTE, I would suggest you to try pixel experience first.
And make sure while rolling back to stock rom you need to deprecate modem1 and modem2 files. Otherwise you'll lose imei as well VoLTE forever
Actually I'm non US variant and Volte stopped working on most of the latest Roms ( BL, RR, Xtended) but DU works fine. I also recently re-flashed back to stock firmware and Volte is fine....something is off with these latest ROM builds ( atleast for me).

Custom roms that work with t-mobile?

Hello, I have lte, volte, and wifi working perfectly on a .228 UK Rom with us sin flashed.
What custom roms can I change to and still have service? I was not able to get lte on Lineageos 19. Thanks!
