Some phones stop the fast charging at a certain % not sure what the Huawei cut off is, also the obvious question, you're using the supplied Huawei charger and lead?

Yes I'm using the official adapter.
It would be great to know how long the charging takes.

Any update? Problem still exist, maybe an android setting? Can't find anything.

[SOLVED] Wizard battery issue

This could sound stupid, but...it's not, so who want's to help, please do so, and who doesn't, please don't bother...
I didn't do anything...my wizard just didn't turn on. I left it charging cause id ran out of battery...and now it's turned off and won't start. When I plug it in, there is a red led on top...no other reactions...
Please, if someone else knows somethin that could be of help I would apreciate it. I don't think it's the rom...or anything else software related...
Mabe the main battery but I wouldn't know, because I don't know how to find out.
Thanks in advance !
First of all -- which charger are you using?? Are you using the OEM WALL charger, or are you using the USB Sync cable to charge with??
If you're not using the OEM wall charger, you're probably not pulling enough juice through the USB cable to revive your battery.
Pop out your battery. Wait a couple of minutes and put it back in. Connect your Wizard to the OEM WALL charger. This should do the trick. If not, you're going to need to get a new battery. They don't like being completely discharged.
Problem solved !!!
I solved the problem.
I pluged into charger without the battery inside ... it showed the red light...then I put the battery in, while charging ... and the red light went off. Then I pressed on turn off button ... and tadaa ... it turned on. The battery was 0%...I read that this "red light" problem is quite common not only for wizards, but other HTC models too.

Diamond Charging Time

hello,
I´ve experienced a long-time charging with my diamond device: this is my 3rd charged and it started at 14.30 and it´s more than 22.10 hours and still one little-gap to be fully charged. Is this normal??? It´s been charged with the 3G (HSDPA) on, and using vodafone real mail connected (HSDPA connection opened to receive emails), but I remember my treo 750v it only took 2 hours or 3 as maximum to be fully charged. WHat do you think about this???
thanks

Perhaps, your charger battery has a problem, like for exemple, it does not deliver enough power. Did you try with another one or charge it with your PC ?

The USB cable does probably NOT provide quite enough energy to compensate for the connections you've switched on. If you have your WiFi/Bluetooth/GPS (one or combination) on, it even drains the battery quicker.
Let's say your phone requires 100mAh to run using the open connections and the USB delivers between 80-120mAh. Of course this is an example with random numbers... just to explain what I mean.
So either the power consumption of your phone is higher than the power the USB can give: this leaves the phone discharging slowly. Or the phone is being charged, but very slowly.
Conclusion: Better use the 230V charger!

As I explained... USB doesn't give much juice. If the device uses more energy than the USB can give (or almost the same) charging takes very long.
Simply use the 230V charger, and see how fast that goes! I guarantee that works.

if any doubt of faulty unit I have till Wednesday to have my money back or change for another one so any kind of test bf that day would be great

This charging time is the first one that i´ve charged the diamond while the real mail of vodafone (HSDPA connection was always on to get push mail) so i suppose this can affect at charging velocity don´t you think?¿?
but instead of that, it´s really amazing how slow was the charging bc i´ve also a treo 750v and never remember to be so slow even with the push mail on...

So you think that the first charge was not done correctly cause of the push-mail and his power need, right ?
Usualy, I leave my device off 12h during the first charge.

hello,i am going to change my diamond this afternoon.at first it comes with some battery, what do u recommend me?make a full charge bf any kind of use or use till the battery run out of power?
i have the same problem. Full charging takes more than 10 hours, no matter if i use USB or the charging device...if i turn the phone completely off, it doesn´t charge at all.
Why do you need a HSDPA Connection (Mails), when you charge via USB? Not possible to use ActiveSync for Internetaccess?

You can use till the battery run out of power and let the device off 12h during the first charge.

Battery or handset?

Hi folks
Post no.1 so please be gentle
I have had my phone for a couple of days now and it seems that i have either a faulty handset or battery and wondered if any of you guys could help me find out which.
Basicaly, when i charge the battery either from the plug in charger or using the usb cable from my pc the progress bar only gets to about 86-87% no matter how long i have it on charge for. Then when i turn it off then on again it says the battery is at 100%.
Earlier i had it on charge for about 2 hours and when i checked it,it was at 87% so i turned it off then on again and it was 100%.
It has been like this since i got it and it is still the same after updating to latest ROM.
I'm hoping that its the battery so I can just get another one because I dont want to have to try and get another handset because most places are out of stock.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Gaz
in some cases the batterie stops charging when its getting too hot (it will still display "Charging" but the Led isnt glowing anymore), but that wouldnt explain why its on 100% after a Soft Reset. Did you tried different Programs to view your Battery status?

The only other program i have checked it on is the one that comes with the latest ROM(Batti) and this just says the same.
Even when the status is stuck(say at 85%)the lights in the circle are still indicating 'charging'.
Gaz
Anyone have any ideas what this could be?
Thanks
Gaz

Vario is *suddenly* dead! I didn't upgrade anything.

Hi,
Suddenly my Vario died. I was not upgrading anything at all. I was just using it or maybe I was charging it during this time. Now I can't turn it on and when I connect the USB cable with power nothing happens. Not even the charging LED lights up.
Any ideas?
Did your battery completely die? Where you installing/and or modifying anything on the device? We needs some more info brother!

Feel free to ask more questions
Battery: maybe it did died, as I have not been using the phone for a while (couple of months).
No, I didn't do even any software installation. Just normal usage. I don't remember if I was charging it while it died or not.
Well, sounds to me like your battery may just be dead, not regular dead mind you, but drained. Try this first, connect your Wizard to either the original wall charger that came with it, and let it charge for a while, or find another miniUSB charger(like from another phone or bluetooth headset or the like) with AT LEAST 1A of OUTPUT. Anything less will not be able to charge the battery. Try that first, then let me know what happens!

Question about fast charging on the Note 9

Hi...
For a while now I've had a problem with my Note 9 only displaying that it is regular charging when plugged into my fast charger plug and cable. I tried a numbr of troubleshooting steps from restarting, cleaning the port, trying safe mode, buying replacement fast charger and cable, factory settings, rooting but it still only showed as cable charging so I became convinced it was a physical problem with the port. Wireless fast charging continues to work as it should.
I recently installed AccuBattery and when plugged into my fast charger/cable, the charge current completely fills the the green bar to between 1800-2000 mA so now I'm beginning to wonder whether fast charging is working ok, but the phone is reporting it incorrectly.
Does anyone else know what kind of charge current the Note 9 should have when cable fast charging please? Also, just out of curiosity, what should it be when wirelessly fast charging too please?
Thanks for any help...

I started charging at 25%. With screen on I got 2700mah.
I left my phone off for 15 mins and stayed at that 2700mah average.
When I turned my phone screen on, I had 45% but screen on charge dropped to 1000mah.
If you look at the bottom of my screenshot, it explains why you need to turn your screen off to get accurate fast charge Numbers. Your phone might throttle the screen on charge if a certain criteria is met.
Once again. Did you enable it in the settings?
I am eagerly awaiting your response... [emoji3]

Hmmm the numbers you get do seem to suggest there is an issue with my phone. The screen off speeds are around the same as screen on.
Samsung quoted about £10,000,000 to repair as it's rooted and they have to replace the entire board to satisfy their warranty terms.
May have a go at replacing the charging port myself.
Thanks again :good:

I don't use fast charging, ever. So that's probably why my port still works. I have gotten so much dirt in it and cleaned it out it isn't even funny. So I'm less 6 to believe that fast charging is what ruins the port not debris.
A lot of people who use fast charging have the same issue as you-,it burns out the port.
Honestly, my advice is to love with fast charging over wireless and not spend a billion dollars replacing the port. Wait until it's time to replace the battery in a year or two and do it then. Fast charging over cable only saves you 30-40 minutes. I can charge and do charge my phone normally and it only takes around an hour and 40 minutes.
