Yeah... I just bought my moto z force droid off swappa a few days ago and was hoping to get the Oreo update soon but I didn't expect it to only be days, I thought maybe months or weeks.

the home screen and app drawer have been made denser, 5x5
The Command center date/time/battery widget is now a single 2x2 icon , not an expanding one ( I don't like it) I tried some of the unofficial ports and they appear to only work on non stock launchers
edit: and this is just an Oreo thing in general, pressing the moto mods shortcut in quick settings is an on/off toggle, press and hold does what you might expect

Ran into a few issues, hope to have it up tonight or in the morning. Kind of a pain dealing with a ROM over 2gb's. Takes forever to test things and reflash. Sorry for the delay!!

Take as much time as you need seriously. No hurry to get ROMs this fast lol. Just try to perfect it as much as possible. Im sure everyine would rather wait than have alot of bugs, so just take your time.

I'd definitely be down to donate for tap and pay functionality. The one thing I really miss from my GNex; was SO handy.

Hey jmill, anything I can do to help with getting tap and pay running? I don't have any dev experience, but if you need logs or anything feel free to let me know! Great work on this so far by the way.

So I just messaged ZTE about how I think double clicking the camera button to launch the camera would be a good feature. I thought, that's too simple, there's no way its NOT there. Sure enough I look in the manual and it says " In other screens, Press twice to launch camera..." when I double press it does NOT open the camera.
I hope some dev talent picks up this device. The hardware is there just needs some polish on the software. I'm very satisfied with this phone, My first none Nexus device since before the Nexus S. I was blown away by the design and specs so I had to get a hold of one.
Yeah that feature seems to not be working at all. Bummer too.
I noticed something interesting today with my axon. When holding down the camera button in any other screen, the haptic feedback triggers. So something is assigned to the button, it may just be a programming error.

So im not the only one! thank god I was worried I had some sort of internal hardware issue... It gives the slightest vibration on a double click but nothing launches.
EDIT: I just tweeted at AXON about this issue. Hopefully bring it to their attention and we start getting some polishing on this otherwise pretty great software.

Their R&D dept is very consumer friendly and one of their guys at headquarters is a nexus guy and he's on XDA all the time.
Yea their customer relations is on fire. I just got a message on Twitter about an update from the problem I asked about a few days ago. I'm very impressed.
I had no idea. I thought the only way to take a screenshot was either a knuckle screen tap or swipe from the top and toggle the screenshot quick tile icon.
After mysterious screenshots being taken when I pressed the power button I discovered you can also take screenshots by...
...pressing the power and volume down buttons simultaneously ?

I managed to flash Pie onto a Note 9 thanks to another thread in this forum. All is well except I'm horribly aggrieved by the new horizontal recents screen. To make things worse, Good Lock is seemingly not yet compatible with Pie so I don't have any control over this new UI.
Any one else feel the same? Known way to change this?

Sadly no, but can recommend to try two things:
1) turn of recent apps recommendation in the recents options - it causes lag and the recents menu will be atleast smoother and cleaner.
2) you can try to turn on the "reduce animation" from settings - advanced. This changes the recents behaviour and when you swipe it will be "by one" and not continuous scroll, try it and device generally if you like the animations.
From there it's waiting for good lock for pie or going custom ROM, I fear.

Getting annoyed by the exact same things. At the moment no solution for that. Unless we downgrade to Oreo but than will the security updates will continue to come?

Think this way. With new recent arrangement the user can see full card and no more only half. Agree? In my opinion it's more useful right now, It's question of time and i'm sure you'll like it

Perhaps it's just muscle memory but what gets me is there's no inertia so you can't just fling through apps as you used to be able to. Oh well.

The hideous icons and loss of GoodLock are rubbing me the wrong way. I used Routines in GoodLock for a handful of functions that made things a lot easier. Hopefully the GoodLock upgrade comes soon, if not I am seriously considering going back to Oreo, there is nothing in Pie that is blowing me away as I find even the gesture navigation slower/more tedious than the standard nav bar.

I just got this device yesterday with the Global rom. It seems like there are no real customizations for it. For instance, how do I change the navigation bar at the bottom? Is there anyway to have it go away when I'm in an app or web browsing? It cuts off a chunk of viewable screen space on this phone.
Also, is there no tap the screen to wake functionality?
Fng will work. Just give permission with adb and it's good to go.

Well, the American version is very limited, the Chinese version is the most complete, and has all that you mention, gesture navigation and many more functions

The CN version has update http://ui.nubia.cn/rom/detail/64 , the America version I don't know, I have the 3s with CN version with google apps, so I bought it on AliExpress, I can't update via OTA, so I need help to update...
