[XT1096] Device soft bricks when trying to install supersu

I am trying to root my device after unlocking and installing twrp. When I flash a rom and gapps it works fine but as soon as I flash supersu it softbricks. Anyone have any advice.

Use SuperSU beta 2.52

Don't flash the supersu zip.
In TWRP when you exit, TWRP asks if you want to root your phone, say yes. This works perfectly.

What rom did you flash? Cm13 or any stock custom rom?

Yes I was running the nexus experience ROM. Now I', running cm13

I was able to backup stock recovery, just in case something goes really really wrong.
Now Im going to flash a custom stock, the xt1095 rom.

Most ROMs have SuperSU built in. Have you tried a root checker app? If not flash SuperSU v2.52 after a wipe, before flashing ROM and gapps.

I seem to be unable to root again following a wipe needed as Cyanogenmod 13.0 nightly lost WiFi in an update flash (was all rooted before the flash on cm13)
I've tried the 2.65 stable (no affect, no root), 2.67 beta (no affect no root), 2.52 beta (breaks rom, needs wiping) mentioned above.
Is there something awkward about the victara...?

Same here.
Did a factory reset, using TWRP, installed the 5 Feb nightly and I no longer have root.
edit: disregard, I forgot to enable root via the developer option. Good to go.

[Bootloader Unlock] [CWM] [H320] LG LEON H320 H324 H320mb BOOTLOADER UNLOCK + CWM

New Bootloader Unlock Method for H320 (Non-LTE version)
DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
​OK. At first root Leon. Download Terminal emulator App. Download 3 files from link below. Place all 3 files in /sdcard folder. Type:
$ su
# dd if=/sdcard/uboot.bin of=/dev/uboot
# exit
$ exit
Now install app that was 1 of 3 files (ITS RUSSIAN)
Wait until app get root access.
Chose:
2nd option
1st option
select recovery.img
And Accept all questions (second button, on the right side)
You will boot in CWM recovery

I'd love to try it but I've lost already 3 phones because of custom firmwares / bootloaders / CMWs etc... I just like to try out weird things on phones I own
Untill now I was using FlashFire to flash any zips, but most of them were bricking my phone... So it was painfull to do: FlashFire -> Bootloop ->LG Flash Tool... and so on...
Once you will get some confirmed results I will give it a try as well.
Anyway! Thank you for your hard work, we will surely make good use of H320 CWM.

You do not need to do factory reset. Your data will be untouched. Your xPosed will be fine

Edit: Phone was stuck on booting animation for some time but finally booted. I haven't lost root but that's not an problem. Anyway, everything is fine. I was in CWM once but don't know how to boot into CWM again :c
Just to confirm for other users. This method works 100%!
Once you reboot, phone will boot slightly longer because of dalvik-cache cleaning process.
Edit1,5: I've lost all my data, RIP :c but it's because I removed some system-related apps just before reboot
Edit2: Next week I will try to port some MTK rooms and try to do something viable for H320

Will this work on Boost Mobile LG Tribute 2 (LGLS665)? Has the same hardware as the Leon. If no, then could you please try and to the LS665 if possible? Thank you ?

Most important thing is chipset, if it's same MTK as on Leon it MAY work. MAY!
As far as I understand this method, You can't get Hard Brick because CWM will ask you about keeping custom recovery. But you have to ask OP about details
Edit: LGLS665 got Qualcomm chipset, so it won't work

1. Just extract this downloaded file somewhere (it will be around 1.5gb)
2. Boot device into fastboot mode
3. Open "8976_fastboot_all_images.bat" from extracted files. CAUTION: all data on INTERNAL STORAGE will b LOST
4.wait for rom to flash(reboots automatically)
if u need twrp now:
1. boot again into fastboot mode
2. Flash any twrp u like

It is probably Global Beta 6.7.21, that was for short uploaded on MIUI forum by mistake. It was removed few minutes later. It is MM rom but only for developers internal testing.
If it's 6.7.21 Beta, ROM cannot be updated to later Beta versions (OTA is not supported)

I can't test it now because i haven't kenzo (is already shipped in this week i hope to got it), i decided to release it today, only because more people do some pressure for have it. :highfive:

INSTALLATION
Have Universal Bootstack or Bootstack of the B013.
Have the final version of the TWRP.
Insert the rom into the SD card.
Start in recovery mode and make a backup.
Wipe data / factory reset.
They go to advanced wipe and label all but Micro SDCard and OTG and Data.
They go to install, they look for the zip and install it.
Restart and wait until the ROM is started​

I just installed it and am having these two issues so far:
1) GPS is not working. I had the exact same thing on V2.0.0B13 M!Favor 5.0 / 7.1.1.][stock] SL!M VERSION - not sure why I'm having this issue
2) Adaway cannot update the host files, although access is granted through Magisk. I get the message"Applying the hosts file to your system failed! Try changing..." or "Copying of hosts file failed!"
I wonder if these two issues don't share the same cause?
Any ideas?

Whenever I try to boot to one of these, my phone blinks 3 times and shuts off or reboots when it should boot to fastboot mode. The rom is however working and I have root. But I´m stuck.. Furthermore I used the B13 universal bootstack for A2017G (this is my device). Is there a way to get one of these (twrp or fastboot) working again? I appreciate. Thanks

Try to flash TWRp through flaahify or TWRP official App. Try to long press power n vloume up post switching off.

I allready tried both, but they give me an error. I looked into the log and it states that my system is read-only

I had a problem when I installed [Oreo-Pie]Dolby Digital Plus_v.6.3-[UNiTY][Light]_by_repey6-20190405.zip. The app opens but close and crash.

Try to update recovery and download rom again. Could be corrupted .

How install this firmware on our tablet?Needed wipe data,cash?

absolute great! tks so much! i came from LineageOS 16.0 Unofficial and it works very well too, but that rom has a delay in the games due to the wifi disconnection, this Pixel rom does not have this problem
Edit. Same problem on both rom, small lag in games with the wifi icon 'lost wifi signal'

how u doing?i found a problem on my 8703n that on all 8.1 and 9.0 roms,the front cam cant work.
it s ok on offical normal rom.

First of all hi Demetri. As always you're doing an amazing job. You have my gratitude, my device is now updated because of you.
My Question.
Is possible to get a stable version of gcam for my device?
I'm using TB8703F version with Snapdragon processor.
I was using a Xiaomi Mi A1 a few years ago, so I suppose that is possible to get a good image quality based on that processor.

Sure will include gcam in next version

Network compressed POST connection error: java.net.ConnectException: Failed to connect to ssl.google-analytics.com/127.0.0.1:443
This is not rom related issue, check with your provider or modem/router.

Thank you, that's weird, because i play on my phone (leeco pro 3, aicp 14.0) without issues. But i will to check my network, thank you again!

Yeah i have random dislikes from a router at work too for my phone, so i learn to live with this.
A work around i discovered with that router is to enter flight mode and then re-enable wifi then i dont get any disconnections. Your mileage may vary

By the way, in case you released a new update for this ROM, do I have to flash it or can I do it via OTA?

You have to flash it manually since it needs to flash boot.sign
