Hi, hopefully it's a good place for this thread.
does anyone consider to assign camera to one of the hardware buttons? For example, when I press twice menu/home button I can launch a camera.it could be nice when I have a wet hands still able to open a camera (physical buttons) and take a picture via volume buttons. Does anyone know any apk which can by useful to do that?

I'd actually like to do a similar thing by making the notification bar slide down. I was thinking a long hold of the back key.
Edit: I've already found an app on play to roll it down. I just need a way to launch it.

It works for any 4.2.2 Touchwiz based ROM so you should be fine. It works great on my I537, so I don't think you should have any problems.

I couldnt't find anything related, so I suppose that there is nothing available over internet for my request.
I want to be able to use selected button action on bluetooth headset to be used as remote camera shutter button.

I can say that I would be interested, as I mount my phone on my motorcycle, and I use a SENA SMH10. But I feel that it might have more restiction d/t the Sena itself and limited buttons. Although that would be really cool to have better control and take pictures and or video without doing much. Voice control (S-Voice galaxy s4) just isn't quite there yet. Wish there was something better. Even Google Now has a lot of limitations.

i know just press it it will work am using it to click image using camera i route my button in many ways like am using paid version of addition so in condition i set when camera open than by pressing play pause button camera button pressed in another hand i dont have redial button than on long press playpause button redial button i set even using wired headset i did using the hock key means play pause redial and camera click...
Hi guys! Okay, I need some help. I just upgraded to the Note 5 from the Note 4. While I like the phone overall, I'm absolutely missing the Smart Select S Pen feature from the Note 4 (which, objectively, is the better phone). Could anyone please, please, please....please post the apk for the Smart Select feature? I'm going to try to put it on my Note 5.
I found an app that actually works better than the Note 5 rendition of Smart Select (http://apkpure.com/smart-select-ocr/com.bin.smartselect) but it's just not the same. Thanks for the help!
I don't see a app with that name. Are you sure that's not a feature in the S-pen app?

Actually, you're 100% right. It's not a standalone app so to speak. It's, more than likely, an system apk mixed with a few other settings and system dependencies, mixed with a few thinks I'm not familiar with :silly: . In order to get the Note 4's Smart Select functionality on a Note 5 I'll probably have to reach out to one of my smart developer friends.

So this is an older app but I just tested it and was able to change the detatch and insert sounds on my T-Mobile Note 8.

Turn the volume down under the settings in the app
Since Oreo, pressing and holding on an app no longer has the shortcut to quickly do to app info. Does anyone know a solution to bring this back?

Yup that feature was removed from Oreo. You're not the first to complain about it. I've heard if you use a different launcher you might get it back but not sure exactly which ones as I haven't tried any myself.
Nova launcher has it. TouchWiz launcher sucks.
