Pretty sure you need to use July Vendor as August Vendor is targetting Pie and not Oreo...I was able to get it working with July

How's it running, everyone?

followed the steps for installing this from android P stock since it had microstutters that bothered me but was nothing severe....coming from xiaomi devices i was used to the features available both in the stock rom and in custom roms....the pixel stock rom is sooo basic ...i knew it was vanilla android but i still wasnt prepared for how barebones it was...I needed "my stuff" to be comfortable with it....after flashing RR rom and vendor images....it boots up then restarts like 4 seconds later after displaying the home screen....after rolling back to P the same thing happens...what did i do wrong here?something I overlooked or something?any help would be appreciated this is my main phone still.

If you want to flash this you have to first flash the latest oreo factory image so that your phone have the correct bootloader, radio and vendor image.. after flashing factory image just flash the rr rom and reboot into recovery one more time and flash the gapps package . You don't have to flash the vendor image individually. ? Same goes for android P.

Thats what i did,but my device would crash immediately it got to the home screen i flashed the vendor images as well.I managed to install the stock Oreo rom and it doesn't reboot loop anymore....but i cant do playstore app updates or phone ota to P....it shuts down immediately if i try to do so ,requiring me to hold PWR for 30 seconds before its back up again.Sync also causes crash.its possible to flash opengapps on stock rom? since im guessing maybe its outdated play services causing this particular issue.

? September patch please

"Copy your data" in google transfer tool crashes...
Anybody knows how to fix it?

Iis it OK clean flashing this coming from Benzo 9.0 ROM?

ROM in early development stage, released just for pie preview. needs testing
Awesome! Thanks for this!
Edit: Is it recommended to be on August or September build?
Sweet! Want to give this a shot, but I am a bit unsure how to flash gapps with it. I searched the other build's forum, and couldn't see on it either. Do I flash build, boot, then flash gapps, like on other A/B devices? Or do I just flash gapps at ROM installation?
Is TWRP built in?
Does this use an EAS kernel?
So I attempted to flash, but I am getting the error stating I am using an incorrect version gapps. States I am running 8.1, not 9. Anyone else have any ideas?
EDIT: I was able to modify the installer sh to force it to install, but every copy of gapps prompts and states there is not enough space in the system partition.

Have you tried installing the smallest gapps package? I had this same issue on another device.
Gapps screws up sometimes. Try remounting system and vendor while in twrp, reboot recovery then try flashing gapps again. I bet it works.

I just flash the hyp.mbn from August before booting to recovery, then after installing whatever, go back to bootloader and flash the sept hyp.mbn.. just that file is all u need. Just be sure to reflash the current hyp file or any build based on sept wont work and vice versa.

I already removed rounded corners in the upcoming build. Also it's stated in second post that it's early development stage, so don't expect everything to work properly. It's still experimental and we don't even have official lineage sources for mata. So thanks to @KuranKaname for his work
That full screen apps feature is lineage stuff. I already did what I could to add it on mata. From the comments on gerrit we can read:
I don't have an exact example app in mind but >=O apps can still manually limit maxAspectRatio to lower values like 1.86 or 2.1 (which could be obsolete for future long long screens). (It is not you are >= O so you are good with long screens)

3) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).

I hope what created is right topic =)
For dual sim - u should have the stock rom is 1'st installed, there both sim are working. Coz cRDr rom have no "sony modem switcher" & modem configs. Use the stock rom for switch & configure modem.
Before install gapps or twrp or something else(magisk for example) from twrp-zip u have to reboot in twrp again after install rom. It needs for A/B slot switching.
Great thanks LuK1337 for his hard working at LOS! :good:
Hey - tried to give this rom a go tonight, but the rom download link is dead.
Hey, I just got back into rooting phones again (after a few years back last time when I rooted my Sony Xperia Z2), can you or anyone give me an easy to follow instructions on how to install this custom rom or any other rom? (I'm still confused about A/B slots thingy, and also like does it reboot automatically after flashing zip file even though I know that you can go "back" to flash another zip file? or maybe I just wrong about this.)
I don't know, I'm afraid of getting risk bricking my phone without following instructions...
Any update? Is the development for this ROM abandoned?
hey, im having a problem, the phone boots normaly. except in the google setup screen where you select a language, when i select one it freezes on just a sec..
Will there be an update for this rom or is it abandonned? It looks pretty good for a 6 months old rom. Thanks!
Will be updated soon.
I smashed up display. New one will come from China about couple weeks. When i fix my XA2, then i can testing new builds and releases it.

Great Work!
Nice Work, every thing works great
Security patch : 5 December
hi, I want to give this a try.
I come from a clean downgraded XA2 (h3113) from 9 to 8.1, so the bootloader is already unlocked and the phone is rooted with TWRP and Magisk installed. I did the downgrade with Emma tools.
My firmware version is 50.1.A.
Do I have to re-install the Pie 9 update first in order to flash this rom ?
Or can I just flash it and then reboot to recovery, flash the gapps and reboot to recovery and flash the latest firmware from here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78973496&postcount=2

Need Sony firmware ("at least bluetooth, dsp, modem from it") from Pie. As Luk said.
It would be better to update (install) the stock rom (Pie) first.
I have not tested this with Android 8.1-stock. I can not promise the right work and compatibility.

That's pretty normal I think. When I'm first using Android 10's based ROM, it showed up on my phone. After using a few weeks, it was gone. When I tap "App Info", it led me into a google playstore (if you have one) and it literally doesn't show anything.
Hi!
I really like you roms, they add to the XA2. But a question - is there a possibility that you could compile versions without recovery, or with TWRP, instead of the stock one? TWRP is just that much more functional, and now after the flash, i need to reflash the TWRP, and only then carry on with gapps, and the rest..
Just asking, no big deal I'm still VERY grateful for your work!
Rom installed, everything works but the wifi keep switching to my data even if there's connection and signal (with stock firmware there was no problem on this side), other than this: is there any plan to release some updates? On the crdroid site the rom is "unmaintained"

what gapps u installed?
how do u did it?
take a log from boot system for debug.
1)stable gapps here(micro or nano): https://sourceforge.net/projects/opengapps/files/arm64/
2)instal em before system booting! (it's important):
a)boot in twrp
b)install rom
c)reboot twrp again
d)install gapps
e)boot system, done.

The link points to gapps 9.0 stock. Maybe the issue is we need 10.0, though only nano and pico available. I am looking into trying this in the next day or two. Anyone have a tip here? I know , only three days online! I will be patient!
Cheers

Try NikGapps or FlameGapps - I'm using the former and it's got stock packages and is stable

It only points like that because that's what the opengapps site details to, if you toggle the 10.0 button, it'll switch to what's available for 10.0

Ii wasnt sure if the op intended that version or not.
Good job ! ! !
what is more stable/featuring rom, LOS or statixos?
I followed all directions. gapps loaded fine, magisk, etc... all good. Only problem, sim card not seen. Tried a few times with no luck. I just reflashed january essential fastboot image and am restoring backup, but would like to try this, as every time I txt i need to shut off and turn on data. every time i plug in a battery I need to go to settings usb control... Getting sick of stock. Anyone else get around ( or have) this no sim problem?
Thanks,
David
The janfw-febvendor set doesnt have a boot.img or system.img file, though the flashall.bat calls for them. Could this be my problem? Not sure if the files aren't there does it just leave the old ones - which are January anyway.
Thanks,
David

The vendor package should not contain boot.img (boot partition for rom) and system.img (rom). These partitions are flashed by the rom you choose to install.

Hello!
Wow this is amazing. We are starting to have Android 11 an our Realme 5 Pro.
I really want to flash your ROM and try it.
Can you provide a checklist of known bugs? Or what is working and what is not. That would be amazing.
Thanks for the hard work!
Best Regards

I did a clean flash. When I restored the previous backup, I meant after I couldn't boot the clean flash of your ROM, I restored the backup up of my previous ROM otherwise I'd be stuck at the fastboot screen permanently.
I wiped data, system, vendor, caches etc first before flashing the ROM
Doesn't boot if magisk v21 is installed. Anyone have any luck rooting the ROM?
No exfat support so can't use my sd card ( nearly 2021 and occasionally you'll find a ROM like this that still doesn't include this, strange) . No 2 button navigation mode option which is annoying too

Lol all a11 roms will not booted with 20.4 magisk

Installation Guide & Bug Report
Do we need to flash the realme ui firmware prior flashing this update, like we used to do for pixel experience roms and others or simply flash the legion OS, please post the step by step guide. One more thing is this rom used as a daily driver ,does anyone has reported any bug or so. please respond. i would also like to now whether this rom got monthly updates and tweaks.
Thanks!
Robstir said:
Yeah no ExFat support is weird and sad, as the ROM is excellent but the system file is about 5gb so you can't back it up let alone a whole backup! LuckYvii's work is usually great, can the next update support ExFat?

Hi guys.
I installed this ROM 2 weeks ago, and this is a wonderfull rom.
No gapps for me. It was a pretty difficult in beginning, but now the rom give me its all theses capacities.
No exfat => ok, sdcard formated
Magisk installed
The unlock face doesn't work corectly, so i use the finger print.
The many legion settings are very nice to customize the phone.
No bug for me
Thank's for the job
