All these best buy,Costco will always delay...obviously the carries are the first to get stock and ship.

Lets hope some retail stores actually get the S4 on Saturday. Since this announcement my confidence of walking into a store on sat and buying a S4 has been taken down a peg.
Full disclosure: I "pre-ordered" at a sprint store in Chicago.
Costco Shipping Update
I just updated my shipping address and credit card info with Costco. I switched to American Express to get extra year's warranty in addition to the $99 one is my understanding. But more importantly while on the phone the very nice young lady I asked if she had any updated shipping information.
She asked me for which phone and I told her the Black S4. She said the earliest processing would be May 3rd and that shipping would be on May 6th. Now I can set my expectations appropriately.
Black S4 Is Not Available
I just looking on the website and it looks like the Black S4 is no longer available for order.
White Frost is now sold out also.
I ordered last Thursday night but still no change in order status.
I was told mine would be processed April 30th and arrive may 2nd

I hope this is the case. I sent an email yesterday seeing if I could get some kind of verification for when the orders will be processed. I got nothing. I have considered cancelling and seeing if I can get telesales to give me a better price. I'm sure I would no issue getting sprint to waive the $36 activation fee regardless of where I ordered. I've never had any trouble in the past.
But today is the 30th and haven't heard anything from costco....fingers crossed.

I called them yesterday after not receiving any replies to various emails and the girl that answered me seemed very disinterested in answering any of my questions. I got the cookie cutter answer of "it's being processed the 3rd or before" which is basically a screw you nothing's getting done until the 3rd and not shipping until the 6th at the minimum. I'm kinda regretting buying through Costco and it's probably the last time I order from them as well.

I'm with you. I work in the service industry and if we treated our customers like with the same sort of disinterest, we'd get our asses handed to us.
Here is their response to an inquiry I made to costco asking about availability and my response back. I don't think it's too much to ask of them to keep us in the loop on when the s4 will be available for shipping:

Is it possible to let me know if "the device has launched" to costco? "On or before 5/3" states that it is possible that the device could possibly "lauch" to costco and be available to ship prior to 5/3. I guess we are the only few that got suckered by Costco... the silent uninformed wait is dreadful.
I am very surprised by all of this. Costco typically prides itself on strong customer service. I realize that this is being handled by a third party (contracted out by Costco), but Costco still is involved with this as it has their brand name on it.
I feel pretty lame too. I thought I was one of the "lucky" ones to get an order in before they sold out and now I realize that maybe I wasn't so lucky after all.
I don't mind waiting a week at all...
The accessories were free. (While not the best and the screen protector looks like you have to trim it yourself)
And they didn't charge pre-discount tax.
So instead of paying $320 after tax, we paid $228. Saving $100 for 1 week of waiting? Yes. I will do that.

i couldn't get free activation from customer service, so tack on another $36 I'll be saving.
Came out to $209 instead of $316
I probably won't use the accessories either, except that 3-in-1 charger if it's >1.5 Amps. so that's a $10 bonus.

This is the third time a buy a Note from Clove, they require the payment a month in advance which is very weird they are very good in handeling customers but the note 3 was delivered a couple of days later last year vs other suppliers.

Presume this is so you are locked in, and don't get a chance to see what deals are about on release day, But at least you wont have all the problems of getting the phone on release day.

Samsung Electronics today announced that the Galaxy Note 4 will be available to pre-order from Samsung Experience Stores across the country, including the Samsung Store at Westfield Stratford City, from Friday 19th September, followed by other selected online and high street retailers including Three and CPW from Friday 26th September, before it goes on general sale on Friday 10th October.
Well, looks like I'll have to wait a little longer for my O2 upgrade.

I rang them at 11.45 am and they said £629 & £50 deposit. I am going to clove.
It's possible that I misheard them, or they've changed their minds about the deposit amount, I called before 11am.
Either way, their price is not competitive at all and no pre-order 'freebies' either. Last year for the Note 3 launch they were a bit more competitive if you traded in a cheap phone for the £50 discount offer on launch day.
Looks like the 19th pre order for us in the UK is a bit of a farce, if we can only order from a small number of Samsung Experience Stores, or a company who wants your money well before the release date. ( prefer not to deal with that kind of company )
Is there no online preorder from samsung ? seem like in the US you are able to preorder from Amazon.

I am in exactly the same boat. Waiting on Amazon to see if they list as a pre order before launch date. Obviously running out of time.
I am toying with the idea of buying through three on a pay monthly and then cancelling the contract and paying it off. Need to do more digging on this but think you get a 20% discount to pay off early which makes it under £700 (I think)

I plan to call Three to get this clarified and see how much it comes up to after cancelling. I am hoping you can still keep the headphones and that it doesn't affect the credit ratings

Just finished speaking to Three about the contract and they say, it needs to be paid in full of the remaining contract period. So, I did the math and even for the cheapest plan they have, it comes up to £940 (£99 upfront + £35x24), which is £140 more than buying it sim free.
Can't decide if I want to pay that much extra money for a dual SIM variant...

I think you should get 20% discount to cancel. It's mentioned in their terms...
"Lump sum equivalent to the total of the Monthly
Charges remaining during the Minimum Term of your
agreement less a variable discount, currently 20%. We
reserve the right to vary the amount of the percentage
discount from time to time."

Hi daz_2000,
Yes, I did check the same terms and conditions on their site after speaking to the customer assistant, who clearly mislead me in the first place.
After checking the terms and conditions and having spoken to an another customer assistant, he confirmed that the lump sum is less 20% of the remaining contract.
So, I have now ordered a P20 Pro from Three, as I am losing patience and it seems the best deal to get a dual SIM in the UK with the free headphones
Looking forward to getting the phone on Friday

That's great. I haven't received any confirmation yet. I placed the order over the phone. Called them yesterday chasing for the confirmation and they said I shall get it all tomorrow morning. I hope they don't mess up with the confirmation on pre-order bit by sending it all tomorrow.

I ordered Tuesday from three and I'm still waiting for confirmation.
Three told me they haven't got stock from Huawei yet. But they still said I would get phone latest Monday.

Argh... Typical Pre-order frustrations!! Last time I experienced it was when I pre-ordered Nexus 6P (by Huawei).
It still says Estimated delivery to be the 6th April on their website, so I am going to keep hoping

Problem is in my experience you don't hear anything till about 10pm the evening before delivery (when a dispatch/delivery notice comes through) no way of telling before then, even calling in gets mixed results!.
I'm just resigned to getting it whenever, problem is i'm super impatient as my s9 sucks (battery and call issues).

I believe a lot of us are in the same boat of being impatient Though I am still more than happy with my nearly 3 years old Nexus 6P (not rubbing in, promise!)

I called three again. They confirmed mine will be out for delivery tomorrow and I'll get a text in morning with delivery slot. Not holding my breath. But fingers crossed!
So I went to my order status when I noticed T-mobile customers stated receiving theirs before the 24th. Apparently, my Note will arrive between 21-23, safe to say I will be one of those who actually get it on the scheduled release date... WHY DO YOU HAVE ME SO MUCH AT&T!

Got mine as well. I had to figure out to install the Samsung shopping app and have it verify I was eligible.
Also, I had developed the bad habit of just moving my existing SIM card to the new phone which in this case kept some Carrier features from working. Once I used the SIM packaged with the phone from AT&T and provisioned it on their site all was well.
yeah got 512gb blue wed. the 22nd and just the promotion with Samsung and my promo wireless headphones will be shipped the week of the sept. 10th

you might consider registering for My UPS - then arrange to pickup the shipment at either the UPS Location or a dropspot they use.
My UPS Driver always got to my house around 4pm - but this way, I am able to drive and pick it up at 8am. A small hassle but I have no PATIENCE.

Been looking for a few days for a decent contract offer and ended up ordering from CPW, S21 Ultra 256gb £43/month 100gb data with the usual buds pro and smart tag offer, S10 trade in to cover upfront payment (most of it)
Any upgrade offers from Voda were garbage in comparison to the new contract deal so will be doing the PAC shuffle in a couple of months to get my years old Voda number on to my new Voda contract.
Samsung direct with student discount and trade in old phone, I can get Ultra 256 for £790. Just hovering over the "purchase" button.
Samsung UK Direct and they force you to pick a delivery slot via DPD on the 29th Jan. Interestingly though Three UK show delivery as 26th Jan and indicators from people in the US are that people have tracking info already and are expecting delivery 26/27th Jan. Will be super miffed if Samsung Direct ship after Three UK!

Yeah it says BY the 29th on Samsung, but then proceeds to make you chose the 29th as your actual delivery date with DPD. So even if it is available on the 26th, my delivery slot is the 29th.... maybe I'm missing something!
Ordered directly from Samsung as soon as the upgrade link became available, and it's saying 4 to 5 weeks because I chose the brown one rather than black or white. I'm guessing it'll still ship for the 29th however. At least, I hope so

Nah, DPD are good at not losing things thankfully. They're about the only courier I trust as they've never let me down.

Same here, bought on the 16th. I opted for the 256gb Ultra model.
Ordered mine from Samsung Ireland in the 15th , still saying it's being processed
Ordered my 256gb Ultra with Three during lunch. Staying with unlimited data ect for £79 a month (first 6 half price) Contract wasn't up for renewal till April but they only charged £90 for the early cancellation so see that as a result. Currently a £170 extra trade in deal right now too so, selling the buds on top not bad to say the least.
Read people are having Klarna/finance declined so saves that hassle of going through Samsung direct.
They told me it would arrive by Tuesday at the latest.

Worth checking the non-student price - you get a better trade in value (£350 Vs £210 for an S10+) so it was actually slightly cheaper for me

Staying with unlimited data ect for £79 a month (first 6 half price) Contract wasn't up for renewal till April but they only charged £90 for the early cancellation so see that as a result. Currently a £170 extra trade in deal right now too so, selling the buds on top not bad to say the least.
Read people are having Klarna/finance declined so saves that hassle of going through Samsung direct.
They told me it would arrive by Tuesday at the latest.

Yeah, I checked. They gave me a better price for the 8pro but it was still £10 more expensive. Maybe there's a bottom limit they'll sell it for.
Ordered mine from Samsung for delivery on the 29th. The status is on 'Preparing Dispatch'. Samsung have always been reliable in the past.

Silver 512Gb from Amazon, delivery stated as due on the 30th. Had over £900 in Amazon vouchers, or would have gone direct from Samsung for huge trade-in on aging but serviceable 256Gb S9+. Instead that's probably going on eBay, with loads of extras.
