P20 Pro Dual Sim availability in the UK (with the free headphones deal) - Huawei P20 Pro Questions & Answers

I was wondering if anyone knew which retailers in the UK are taking pre-order for a sim free P20 Pro dual sim variant (as part of the free Bose Headphones deal)?
I have looked at the following retailers so far and none of them seem to have the dual sim variant,
Carphone Warehouse
John Lewis
Vodafone
Very
O2
EE
Three UK seems to have the dual sim variant, but they are only available on Pay monthly deals and I am looking for sim free deals.
Anyone who know about the availability in the UK, can you please share with others?

I am in exactly the same boat. Waiting on Amazon to see if they list as a pre order before launch date. Obviously running out of time.
I am toying with the idea of buying through three on a pay monthly and then cancelling the contract and paying it off. Need to do more digging on this but think you get a 20% discount to pay off early which makes it under £700 (I think)

I plan to call Three to get this clarified and see how much it comes up to after cancelling. I am hoping you can still keep the headphones and that it doesn't affect the credit ratings

Just finished speaking to Three about the contract and they say, it needs to be paid in full of the remaining contract period. So, I did the math and even for the cheapest plan they have, it comes up to £940 (£99 upfront + £35x24), which is £140 more than buying it sim free.
Can't decide if I want to pay that much extra money for a dual SIM variant...

I think you should get 20% discount to cancel. It's mentioned in their terms...
"Lump sum equivalent to the total of the Monthly
Charges remaining during the Minimum Term of your
agreement less a variable discount, currently 20%. We
reserve the right to vary the amount of the percentage
discount from time to time."

Hi daz_2000,
Yes, I did check the same terms and conditions on their site after speaking to the customer assistant, who clearly mislead me in the first place.
After checking the terms and conditions and having spoken to an another customer assistant, he confirmed that the lump sum is less 20% of the remaining contract.
So, I have now ordered a P20 Pro from Three, as I am losing patience and it seems the best deal to get a dual SIM in the UK with the free headphones
Looking forward to getting the phone on Friday

Got order confirmation straight away when ordered on Monday, assume I'll get the usual tracking info from the delivery company later tonight (thursday).

That's great. I haven't received any confirmation yet. I placed the order over the phone. Called them yesterday chasing for the confirmation and they said I shall get it all tomorrow morning. I hope they don't mess up with the confirmation on pre-order bit by sending it all tomorrow.
Wish things were simpler in this world!!!

I ordered Tuesday from three and I'm still waiting for confirmation.

Three told me they haven't got stock from Huawei yet. But they still said I would get phone latest Monday.

Argh... Typical Pre-order frustrations!! Last time I experienced it was when I pre-ordered Nexus 6P (by Huawei).
It still says Estimated delivery to be the 6th April on their website, so I am going to keep hoping

Aaarggh... my order confirmation email states:
Estimated delivery date:* Friday, 6th April
If there are any changes to this date we'll let you know by email.
No email yet but after the above and someone commenting earlier that they hadn't received the stock from Huawei i'm not holding out much hope for tomorrow....

I arranged to work from home tomorrow, thinking it will be delivered tomorrow. So, they are getting some feedback alright, this evening!!

Problem is in my experience you don't hear anything till about 10pm the evening before delivery (when a dispatch/delivery notice comes through) no way of telling before then, even calling in gets mixed results!.
I'm just resigned to getting it whenever, problem is i'm super impatient as my s9 sucks (battery and call issues).

I believe a lot of us are in the same boat of being impatient Though I am still more than happy with my nearly 3 years old Nexus 6P (not rubbing in, promise!)

I called three again. They confirmed mine will be out for delivery tomorrow and I'll get a text in morning with delivery slot. Not holding my breath. But fingers crossed!

Ordering From UK Clove

ok can someone please tell me what kind of duties you pay when u order from clove from the uk to usa? i want to know should i order there or order from expansys usa. expansys usa is charging like 940 for the unit where as clove uk with the conversion rate is about 760

My shipment was delayed by 1-2 days since they required some additional confirmation of my shipping address in the US (another complication was I was shipping to WORK, different from my billing address!)
I emailed them asking about my order, at which point they said 'oh yea we require some additional infor since you're a "first time customer"', so I sent them a copy of a random bill, and a copy of the top of my paystub (since it had my work address on it -- they didn't ask for this). Said I was good to go and they shipped it later that day...
however I anticipated receiving (via DHL) this afternoon -- tracking now says its "on hold" -- I called DHL, and the phone did not clear customs. Apparently DHL did not add it to the cargo manifest so it was not cleared while in the air. Plane lands, they unload, have no record of customs clearance so they hold it. I had to send DHL a copy of my 1040, and apparently they do customs clearing late at night, which means my X1 is hanging out in Ohio right now (I'm in ATL); hopefully it gets moving, and FAST, once they clear it. But they said that could take 1-2 business days.
I am going to NYC on Wednesday, I REALLLLY want the X1 before then (you know, Google Maps n stuff )
But the Clove price was GREAT! Anticpated paying much more, especially considering other retailers are listing in the 8-900s+, where I thought I would have to be paying...

I ordered from Clove and they were awesome. Excellent communication, great price and delivered as promised. They notified me ahead of time about the credit card verification process (which is a good thing) so that didn't slow my order down. Other than that catch ordering through them, it was a smooth, easy transaction.
I ordered back at the beginning of October and didn't ship immediately so I can't comment on the processing time to ship for in stock items. However, I got an email on 10/20 saying my X1 would ship on 10/27 and they were right on. Also, my card was not charged until it was shipped.
Bottom line, I'd highly recommend them on price, service and quality. Not to mention super fast DHL 2 day shipping from the UK (for impatient people like me).

Clove was perfect. i had preorders on two other sites that were selling for $950-1000. 425 L + 37 L shipping = 462 L total. In USD, it translated to $739.77. $250+ cheaper than mobileplanet (expansys) or mobilecityonline.
ordered on oct 22nd. received an e-mail on friday the 24th regarding incoming inventory and authorization of credit card, shipped out monday morning the 27th, and received the 29th of wednesday in CT.
interestingly, the box is not sealed (i.e. didn't have the sticker that says nobody has opened it before). did anybody else's have one of those?

I noticed there was no seal too but completely forgot about it when I saw the X1, lol. It looked like they threw in a couple little fliers/ads for software and accessories so maybe that's why.

I ordered with Clove on the morning of the 24th (this monday), they stated that i would be getting the device on the 30th or 31th (they should be getting stock on the 29th), i just found out now that they're only getting stock on the 12th of November and i had to ask why my order wasn't shipped yet. They didn't warn me before hand that i wasn't getting my order on the date they stated...
I ordered from Clove, UK.
1. I ordered it last Sat online (before the stock dried up )
2. Called early Monday and had some trouble trying to get my Credit card company to give Clove the authorization number (Clove needs it to verify buyer but my CC company doesn't allow distribution to anyone. Finally, Clove just sent it out anyway). I got it WED!!!! No issues with Customs, etc.
3. I paid $712 for the phone (unbranded/unlocked) and 2 Day DHL shipping (which is almost $300 less than other competitors). It was a retail version and brand new.
4.. Their customer service was outstanding, really tried to help me get this phone. They shipped within hours of CC authorization and approval. I got Tracking Number within hours also. They if anything, are too cautious (thats a good thing) with their verification of orders.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND, VERY HONEST SELLER.

I ordered on the 27th of October (I think you meant 27th as well) and haven't gotten any email update yet. Which worries me because now I have to wait as well....uugggh.. Feel like ordering somewhere else then but they say patience is a virtue... T_T
EDIT: As far as a company I ordered from them my Touch Pro back in August and had no issues with the service. Just wish the x1 was more widely available.

I pre-ordered on October 8th thinking that I was assured a unit. Sadly I was mistaken. On Tuesday I had sent an email wondering what had happened to my unit. They replied asking me to send them a recent credit report or transaction number from my credit card company. I choose to send the transaction number since it seemed a safer solution. After checking my credit history I was amazed to see that I was yet to be charged. I sent an email telling them I could not send a transaction number since no transaction was placed, and decided to fax them a credit report stating my address. A day later they emailed me and offered their condolences as they had sold out of Black units and said that the people who confirmed the security check first would receive them first as there was a lot of demand. I told them they had only sent me a security check after requesting information as to the whereabouts of my order. They of course told me all security checks emails were sent out on the same day. This is absolutly absurred.
So to clarify:
-I ordered on the 8th of October
-First batch came in on the 24th
-They sold out on 27th
-Received email for security check on 28th
-Sent security check on 29th (early in the morning)
-Declined first batch on 30th
-Promised (?) a unit on the next shipment, November 12th.
My question is how they can advertize a product for pre-order if they sell the units on a first come first serve basis. Their clumpsyness is unactable.
Well I just got off the phone with Expansys. They tried to switch my order to a US order to "stop me from paying duties and customs taxes." The guy also told me that they always ship US orders from their UK store from the US and Expansys currently has 300 back orders right now.
The last part is the only bit of truth I got out of him. I've ordered from Expansys UK before and it came from the UK and I didn't have to pay any taxes. All he was trying to do was make me pay the higher price on the US website and wait longer. What a crock of #$%^
Long story short, I'm keeping my order with Clove even if I have to wait until Nov 12th for it to ship out. I might try eBay but I don't know if I'm going to risk it not to mention the prices are way too high.

So are you saying that if you ordered from the UK expansys you wouldn't get it anytime? Or are u saying that the US expansys has 300 back orders?

I ordered a TP back in August over a weekend, they processed the transaction on Monday (I sent them an email with the 6-digit transaction number for confirmation) and shipped it out same day. It missed the outbound DHL flight that night but was on its way the next day; had the TP in my hands by 11am Wednesday, west coast US.
For clarification, Clove needs you to confirm your CC only if you're a new customer. This is so that they don't end up exporting the phones to bad orders (black market, etc). As long as you've got your billing/shipping info all straight with your CC issuer (you might also call ahead to let them know to expect the charge in GB Pounds), there should be no major problems, except waiting for stock to arrive.

The guy was very vague and when I'd ask him to clarify he kept asking me how I wanted it shipped (Ground, 2 day, or Next Day)?!?! He made the statement that Expansys had 300 back orders (I would assume UK since the US store is still a preorder). He also said that they are supposed to get more next week but that the shipment wouldn't be enough to fill all the back orders. He was basically telling me that anyone in the US that ordered form the UK store really ordered from the US store (they would hand off the transaction to US). I should have hung up and called back when he said that because that is a lie.
Bottom line I don't know what the call really accomplished except that this guy was trying to scam me. I am inclined to believe the 300 back orders because of the demand for the phone. Take it with a grain of salt though.
I thought it was slightly strange that with all the demand for the silver one they had 100+ listed this morning. I'm going to call them and see if they actually have some in stock or if they are just lying.

Anyone able to order HD7 from Tmobile Customer Service yet?

So, I logged into my account to check on the HD7 pricing and it's there now. It shows 499 with a 50 dollar discount, bringing it to 449. I almost pulled the trigger, but I wanted to call and see if they could do something on the price. So, I did. And apparently, they don't have the listing in their system yet!?? Although, she did say she'd try and help out on reducing the price and would call me on Monday (the release day) to get it sorted out. My concern is on release day, I'm sure it's going to back ordered. Anyone else have any experiences to share?
Yes,I was able to order mine on Tmobile yesterday and got the email confirmation too with the estimated delivery date of 11/04( really hope so) and got a text message today that its being processed and will soon get a tracking number when it ships.

Maybe I should've just done it today then. I checked all day yesterday (so I thought) and didn't see it on there until around 0650 cst this morning. Now it's not on the site period. Maybe a few calls like mine and they realized they messed up. But, definitely let us know if they get it to you by the 4th. Or at least if I was you, I would call and complain if it didn't get there, no matter if they made a mistake or not.
I just logged into my T-Mobile account and looked up for HD7 upgrade. I am getting a price of $499. I am on Even more plus plan. So thats fair.
As far as the estimated shipping date is concerned, its showing up as 11/9. So I did not move any forward. I might as well pick it up on the 8th in the stores.

I came to the same conclusion.. I'd like to pick up the phone at the store.. and play with it a bit.. I'm still torn between this phone and the venue pro..
Yeah, I just logged in again and almost pulled the trigger. But, maybe you guys are right and I should wait until I get a chance to mess with it at the store. I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy it anyways and just keep my HD2 just in case I end up not liking it. Worst case scenario is you buy it, unlock it and sell it overseas for a profit anyways.

Nope, it shows just fine. Although, the phone isn't listed now. It did the same thing yesterday. It's there all day and then at night, it's gone. I'm still trying to hold out on just dropping the 450..500 after tax on it and see what Tmobile will try to shave off it for me at launch. But, trust me, I've just about put my card info in twice. And had it showed it be delivered before the 8th, or even on the 8th. I would've probably done it.
So I own my phone, no contract and I use TMO US service. If i go to the web site and sign in it wont let me buy the phone!...I mean how stupid is that..because I dont have a contract and I own my phone?...Every time I try to buy it it say Im not eligible for an upgrade even though Im not asking for an upgrade. Very frustrating, and bad business.

Oddly enough, now it hasn't been up on the site all day. Here's something else to look for. If you just do a search for "hd 7" on the Tmobile site. The Samsung Galaxy Tab comes up with the HD7. It shows the button for upgrade, but you can't buy either one right now. But, it's an indication of it coming.

Sounds about like them. And come to see, they make many revealing mistakes. Like now if you search for the HD7 on the Tmobile website. It will pull that and a listing for the Samsung Galaxy Tab (no price though). You can hit upgrade, but unfortunately it won't take you to the order page like the HD7 did. Well, at least you'll actually get it on the 8th instead of it being shipped on the 8th.

Yeah, that is definitely terrible on their part. Who cares if you're on contract or not. It's a NO contract price that you're paying. I would definitely complain when you order it on Monday and at least get them to take off 50 bucks or something for the inconvenience. I mean you do pay for service every month just like everyone else.
I was able to get the order on 11/01 also. I talked to tmobile and they said that it was a glitch in the system. they said if you receive the wrong phone you can send it back. My card was charged $379 I even got a text message stating that it was being processed. so hopefully I get the phone on the 8th

went to go see the status of my order and it now says we are unable to retrieve the status of your order. Hope the phone is still being processed and hope my card is not charged if they removed my order. anyone else have this problem if you ordered it on 11/01?

All these best buy,Costco will always delay...obviously the carries are the first to get stock and ship.

Lets hope some retail stores actually get the S4 on Saturday. Since this announcement my confidence of walking into a store on sat and buying a S4 has been taken down a peg.
Full disclosure: I "pre-ordered" at a sprint store in Chicago.
Costco Shipping Update
I just updated my shipping address and credit card info with Costco. I switched to American Express to get extra year's warranty in addition to the $99 one is my understanding. But more importantly while on the phone the very nice young lady I asked if she had any updated shipping information.
She asked me for which phone and I told her the Black S4. She said the earliest processing would be May 3rd and that shipping would be on May 6th. Now I can set my expectations appropriately.
Black S4 Is Not Available
I just looking on the website and it looks like the Black S4 is no longer available for order.
White Frost is now sold out also.
I ordered last Thursday night but still no change in order status.
I was told mine would be processed April 30th and arrive may 2nd

So if you do not want it moved there then do not select "yes this is a question"

I hope this is the case. I sent an email yesterday seeing if I could get some kind of verification for when the orders will be processed. I got nothing. I have considered cancelling and seeing if I can get telesales to give me a better price. I'm sure I would no issue getting sprint to waive the $36 activation fee regardless of where I ordered. I've never had any trouble in the past.
But today is the 30th and haven't heard anything from costco....fingers crossed.

I called them yesterday after not receiving any replies to various emails and the girl that answered me seemed very disinterested in answering any of my questions. I got the cookie cutter answer of "it's being processed the 3rd or before" which is basically a screw you nothing's getting done until the 3rd and not shipping until the 6th at the minimum. I'm kinda regretting buying through Costco and it's probably the last time I order from them as well.

I'm with you. I work in the service industry and if we treated our customers like with the same sort of disinterest, we'd get our asses handed to us.
Here is their response to an inquiry I made to costco asking about availability and my response back. I don't think it's too much to ask of them to keep us in the loop on when the s4 will be available for shipping:

Is it possible to let me know if "the device has launched" to costco? "On or before 5/3" states that it is possible that the device could possibly "lauch" to costco and be available to ship prior to 5/3. I am out of town later next week and am hoping that the device will be delivered prior to Tuesday as I paid for the upgrading shipping option.
I'm just trying to get a better idea on the availability of the device thru costco in order to figure out if I need to provide and arrange special delivery instructions to the courier. I guess we are the only few that got suckered by Costco... the silent uninformed wait is dreadful.
I am very surprised by all of this. Costco typically prides itself on strong customer service. I realize that this is being handled by a third party (contracted out by Costco), but Costco still is involved with this as it has their brand name on it.
I feel pretty lame too. I thought I was one of the "lucky" ones to get an order in before they sold out and now I realize that maybe I wasn't so lucky after all.
I don't mind waiting a week at all...
The accessories were free. (While not the best and the screen protector looks like you have to trim it yourself)
And they didn't charge pre-discount tax.
So instead of paying $320 after tax, we paid $228. Saving $100 for 1 week of waiting? Yes. I will do that.

i couldn't get free activation from customer service, so tack on another $36 I'll be saving.
Came out to $209 instead of $316
I probably won't use the accessories either, except that 3-in-1 charger if it's >1.5 Amps. so that's a $10 bonus.

[Q] Fastest Way to Get One?

So I have accidentally spent too much time drooling and reading reviews to pull the trigger to order. But I've decided I need one, and need it immediately (lol, as I'm sure all of you understand).
Question: What's the quickest way to get one? Has anyone ordered super recently and received an immediate shipping/arrival ETA? Or would it be best to go to the store and nab one?

Try to preorder and get one day service to see if that way you can get it tomorrow or weds

I pre ordered on 9/30. My shipping label was just created on 10/11/14 and still seems to be sitting in a T-Mobile warehouse someplace because it has yet to be picked up by UPS. This is the first time I've pre ordered a phone from T-Mobile and it will be the last. I always show up at a T-Mobile store on launch day and walk out with a phone by 9:30 AM. As a T-Mobile customer for over 10 years you would think my shipping would be upgraded to 1 day air like a lot of others have. But according to my still up shipped tracking label, it's going UPS Ground.
Rather messed up that T-Mobile wouldn''t honor a first come, first served model. I could in all likely hood pre-order right now and have a device delivered before someone who ordered the day it started.
Same boat as you. Estimated delivery date is Friday.

Did you get tracking yet? I ordered white one Friday as well and they told me it would come in Monday if I did overnight. However, today they said it still hasn't been shipped yet and are not sure when it will now. Shipping was obviously refunded.

There was a loose ear piece grill on mine and Tmo had to order me a new black one today. They charged my card for a new phone with EIP just like the first one and they are shipping it to me overnight for Wed delivery. It's technically a new purchase and the 1st one will be a return.

I pre ordered mine and had it two days later. So I'd say having pre ordered but they will be showing up in stores and with that sweet $200 dollar rebate deal going on it maybe better to get one at bestbuy.

How they get it free? how much was one day air? Cause I preordered mine in stores on 10/10 and come to think about it they never ask what shipping rate I wanted... like when I ask questions about the phone like a week earlier over the phone but anyways if I can get back the shipping that be cool.. but I think they just gave me the standard shipping $6.99... but if I could gotten free shipping...

I ordered my this morning!
The price is good, but my primary worry is that this phone won't have factory images available or be safe to root even if the bootloader gets unlocked after a sim unlock.
I also wouldn't expect any ability to convert to an international firmware even if the modem portions are retained.

Ordered mine today also. Anyone know when they ship? TMobile always ships early, hoping this is no exception
T-Mobile chat told me they aren't leaving the warehouse until Friday. I think he's wrong, as all other preorders deliver by launch date, but I haven't seen any movement yet.

I even paid extra for expedited shipping. It will suck to watch people walk out of the store with them on Friday while I wait till the middle of next week...
First Pre orders should be shipping out Thursday and delivered Friday on launch day. Check your bank account. TMobile will charge your card once your phone is ready to ship out. My card was charged a few hrs ago and pre order was placed on the first day.

When they ship it to you the IMEI for that phone is assigned to your account. They won't let you check out another device until you receive the first one. It's a hassle. I paid for next day
UPS shipping notification, delivery Friday. Excited about this McLaren addition.
I ordered mine on Tuesday evening via T-Mobile help on Twitter. Even transferred money into my account in case it charged early. My card was charged late on the 3rd and transaction was completed on the 4th. Hopefully I will get an update from UPS later today and so get the email update from T-Mobile with my imei. My order is a JOD upgrade. I got overnight shipping. I would have went into a store but I have to work 10-8 tomorrow do I can't get to a store.
I sure hope they ship them out tonight.
Edit: I just checked my UPS app and it is showing.

You're right, I would have just added it to another line on account and popped my sim in, returned to sender. Just put it on credit card.
Got next day also, receiving tomorrow according to ups app

Mine says 10:45 am to 1:45 pm. Good thing my wife works from home. She's even going to work in the living room so she can see the driver when he/she comes up on the porch. 99.9% of the time, they arrive sometime closer to 6 or 7 or later.
My daughter's iPhone on Halloween last year was supposed to arrive by 1:30, it got delivered at almost 9pm. I'm not paying $8 for the 2 hour delivery window, that from everything I have read and heard, also gets missed.
Once it arrives, I will be impatiently waiting for time to clock out and get home.
I really, really want this phone but the high chance of not being able to flash the international firmware is why I'm not going to do it.
