S6 Edge Bumper

Hey as title suggests, anyone know or got anything that just covers the side? I dont want anything covering the back. ATM I have the spigen ultra hybrid, when its a little more used and scratched, will probably try to cut the back panel out and see if its works
so any other suggestions?

I put something similar on my iphone5 and it kinda caused rubbed marks on the aluminium on the phone when I removed it. think its best to stick screen protector around sides then use the metal frame.

Very cheap made metal. It is hard getting it on and off. I nicked my bran new phone with the edge of this bumper. Do yourself a favor and order something that won't harm your phone trying to get it on and off... I gave 2 stars because it doesn't fall out of it, and it has a nice look to it once you get it on.
I wouldn't recommend buying this item!!!

First off, this case fits perfectly and looks very nice on the phone. The reason I'm giving it a bad review is because the metal frame affects the phone's antenna. My reception was two bars worse with it on and even the Google Maps GPS was placing me half a mile off of where I really was. I almost exchanged the phone thinking something was wrong with it, until I realized it was actually the case. Too bad, because it looks amazing, but obviously wasn't tested on a functioning phone.

Don't waste your time with these metal bumpers. It blocks the phones reception to the point of making it completely useless. Yes it looks nice but what is the point if you can't use your phone? I got the black metal one with gold trim on my gold 128gb edge. I took it off 1 day later and went back to my old case.

[PETITION] Help requesting Spigen to make Neo Hybrid EX bumper for LG G4

Do you want a true bumper case (only the bumper) that will protect from falls, but allow you to handle the leather?
Spigen makes a Neo Hybrid EX bumper for iPhone and Samsung phones. Here's the one for the S6:

This would be the PERFECT true bumper for the LG G4. I wrote to Spigen, and their reply sounded like they would consider making this for the G4, if their was enough interest.

They're in the same family, but this is a true bumper and that is a slim case.

I would like to feel the leather while using the phone, rather than cover the leather with a case. This EX true bumper would allow that.

I hope you got some better info than I did. I just got a response back from Spigen that they are not investigating a bumper case...

Yeah, same thing they sent me. I hope it means something. To me it seemed like a pleasant way of saying, "Thanks for your interest but no way." I guess they don't really offer that many true bumper cases right now, but it would be nice to get one for the G4.
I'm just concerned that if they aren't even thinking about it now, how long would it take to get a product made from scratch? By that point it'll be almost time to get a new phone.

If they don't end up making it, maybe another company will come across this thread and decide to make it.
Spigen made an EX for the Galaxy S2, but they didn't make one for the S4. I really wanted one for my S4 after having it for the S2, but I ended up getting one from a different company that has served me well these past couple of years. Hopefully, someone will make one.

These items are also shipped and sold by Amazon.com which is a very good thing, you get prime shipping, a definite genuine case, and typically a good product instead of buying from Third Party sellers on Amazon where fakes and low quality run rampant. Sucks I just bought the I-Blason case or this would have been my definite choice.

Ordered one of the VOIA bumpers. Ill post a video or a few pics when I get it. Also requested Spigen to make a bumper as well.

I contacted Whitestone. They said the domed glass should be released early September so we could have them before the release date (If the release date is actually Sept 15th).
I really like it on my S8+. A little thick, but no lack of responsiveness. Only other complaint is that dusk collects along the edge of it.

I will be waiting a bit before ordering one

I'd try out the tempered glass protectors but not for retail price. Hopefully they do better than what is available for the S8+.

I havent been able to find a glass screen protector that would work with a case. The other problem is that these screen protectors only stick to the edges of the phone.... If there was a flat screen option I would have bought that..............

Yes, I'm worried about using a tempered glass screen and a case.

I used one from Armoursuit on my note 7 and liked it enough to put it on my s7e. Unfortunately they won't have any until the 15th. I order one similar and a tempered glass. Figure I'll try them both. Supposedly case friendly

I saw that, they say due in stock in 3 to 5 days. I guess they ship from the UK though, because they said shipping to the US takes 10 to 14 days.
I'm hoping Amazon will get them in at the same time Mobile Fun does. Then I should have it in two days

Does anybody have a recommendation for a relatively inexpensive, but potentially "good" case-friendly glass screen protector?
Obviously, with nobody yet having the devices themselves, it's going to be difficult to assess whether fit, etc, is good, but if anybody has experience of a brand/manufacturer that has done good things on other devices with non-flat screens, then that could be useful to know - I don't plan to use my Note 8 without some protection, and I've always found plastic protectors to be poor with regard to feel and their oleophobic properties, and often attract dust.
I'm thinking I'll get something that will more than likely be cheap, but reasonably performing, until such time as there are reviews of different protector models with experience of being used on the Note 8 before committing myself to a bigger purchase, such as a Zagg or a Whitestone.

I think the only logical screen protector will be those ones that are similar to paint protection film applied on cars. I put one on my wifes S8, didnt look too bad, Used a bit of heat from the hairdryer.

Plastic protectors seem to fall into two categories; stretchy "military grade" stuff which can be a bit "orange peely" and grippy to the touch, and a film which seems to offer less protection, but suffer from finger prints.
Best plastic I've seen is the iCarez on the Note 4, which gave good protection and feel, but was a bit of a dust magnet.

I'll be getting a Skinomi Tech Glass tempered screen protector when they're available. Had them on the Note 2 and Note 5 and on the Tab S 8.4. Haven't disappointed me yet.

Tempered glasses don't fit right on curved edges and you have to touch screen harder for it to respond

FOUND! Thin Case with CAMERA PROTECTION

Was using the Samsung OEM silicone case but wanted something that was just as slim but also covered the camera glass because it's so big and pops out. Found this $9 case on Amazon. It has front raised lips for drop protection (minimal) and is actually even slimmer than the Samsung case so it feels like it's barely there. Not all. I have the ESR Tough Alliance, the Ringke X Fusion and Ringke Air-S. The Ringke cases have some 2mm of space between the camera bump. These cases do not cover the mic. The ESR cases are particularly better for its slanted sides on the camera mic side. It captures audio from the slanted side more effectively.

The Moment thin case is very nice and I think it is what you are looking for. I have it along with several Spigen cases.

I went with a case with a sliding cover. By my standards I find the case pretty thin, but I typically go with really rugged cases, so my case thickness standards may differ from yours.

BUT! The camera glass shouldn't be covered like that.
Just as you should never put a runner over carpet!
Over time when you think you are protecting what's underneath you will find you're doing far more damage.
Why? Dirt gets underneath and will abrade the hell out of the glass.
I'll take my chances, sorry.
Ditto for screen. Can't stand having protectors over screens, ESPECIALLY curved screens. And too, they literally wreck the FP reader action.

I ordered the version of this case with the built in ring stand on the back. Not only are you totally right about the danger of the camera glass getting scratched, but the entire case had no interior protection material to keep grit or dust from scuffing up the phone itself over time. It also didn't fit snug enough to make this issue moot. Immediately returned....

I went with a case with a sliding cover. By my standards I find the case pretty thin, but I typically go with really rugged cases, so my case thickness standards may differ from yours.

Aliexpress for a cheaper price. Be ready for a long delivery period though of at least a month if not more.

Accessories Skins for Mi 11? (NO cases and screenprotectors)

I just ordered my Mi 11, hoping it will be shipped soon after CN opens again.
For the last 5 years or so, I've always used skins on my phones/tablets/laptops since I really hate cases but I do want some sort of scratch protection and - most importantly - grip enhancement.
Dbrand Black Swarm is my favorite but it looks like DBrand does not make skins for any Xiaomi phone since some time now (why is that??).
I can't seem so find a company that makes skins for this device at all (tried Dbrand, Xtremeskinz, Exacoat, Slickwraps).
Does anyone know a company that makes them?

Mi 11 comes with pre applied screen protector. As for the cases I ordered 5 different from Ali Express super cheap , 3 came , so I was switching every day to see which one fits best. There's ton of choices and for the cost of debrand you can buy 10 different on Ali Express, I am sure one will be good for you

I couldn't agree more with you. All the cases makes it biger and the experience is much worse with cases. But they do offer good protection.

There is not a lot of them around yet. Found two models, the first is just a back sticker (not recommended cause it doesn't solve the slippery problem), the other wraps around and should be fine if you want to go caseless:

I received mine today....
Turns out it's only a cover for the camera unit. Talking about misleading advertising..
To others: be aware don't order this!
Update: after contacting the seller, they told me a mistake has been made and they will resend the missing pieces at once. I will update this post when received.
Update 09-03: I received the covers. They are very thin and hard to put on without bubbles. They do add grip though.

I bought the 3, but the one that served me best was the one with protection on the rear camera. I bought the camera lens protector, but it is very high and only the third cover was able to protect the camera from scratching, when I leave it on the table.

I also bought some tempered glass and protections for the lens, but I am desalinated.
They are equals to the ones recommend by you, and what I can say:
1. The protective lens are made from plastic, not glass (glass don't age with time)
2. The fingerprint sensor does not work with the tempered glass
I will probably buy the 3rd option you shared to be in the safe side

Only the glass. Very thin and hard to put on, I would not recommend. See post #12 for a picture.
