Camera After Factory Reset: Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 - Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 Guides, News, & Discussio

Hi Everyone,
If you'll factory reset Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1, directly give all the app permissions to Camera from Settings, open the Camera for the first time, then it won't open.
One tutorial screen comes whenever you open the camera for the first time after factory reset, and because you've already given the app permission to use storage, files etcetera, that's why this tutorial screen won't come and camera won't open.
This is one of the bug, so you've to reset all the app permissions by going Reset Options in System in Settings. Then if you'll open the camera it'll open.
Thanks

Camera app disappearing each reboot?

Okay guys so earlier today I tried to take a picture with my razr i but the camera button wasn´t working so I decided to enter from the launcher. I couldn´t find the camera icon (Im using a custom launcher but it is not in the hidden apps). Used pixlr express to take the picture and it reads "No camera application found. Your camera may be disabled". I checked and the camera is NOT disabled.
I had been using this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2206206 for a few months without any problems so I had a backup from MotCamera.apk and MotCamera.odex and if I move them to /system/app I can use it, but when I reboot it dissapears again!
any help would be appreciated thanks in advance

z1 camera orientation

hello there,
i just had an issue with an camera icon which stupidly was placed somehow underneath my dock at the homescreen.
i decided to try uninstalling the camera app so the shortcut would be removed, saved the app with titanium backup though in order to reinstall it via backup.
unfortunatelly the camera now has wrong orientation so when im in normal orientation it only shows half of the screen as if i would be in landscape mode.
i installed a camera app from google store to test if this would act normal but it doesnt as well.
any idea how to fix this ?
thanks
hey i fixed it by restoring philz backup , still would be interesting to know about the cause of this issue because i had this with my note 3 also until i flashed another rom.

Find an app that's can lock apps rotation and set it to landscape. I had the same problem
Same thing happen to me start last night, I tried few different camera app, works fine in google's camera app, word lens, but camera zoom is same problem as sony's camera app.
my guess is that one of the rotation function didn't able to call the position function, not able to reset or clear the memory,
is there a way to reset the camera app? I don't think restore backup will fix it, if the backup is already went bad.

P20 Pro cannot access the camera photos in Gallery

Hi,
All of a sudden, I'm unable to access all my photos under the Gallery. I can still see they are still present when I access Files. When I take a picture with my camera, I can scroll on the previous photos under the Camera (thru the little icon on the bottom left hand corner). However when I try to access the last taken photo via Gallery, it's not there at all... I can't find any thread on the net on this problem. I hardboot the phone a couple of times but it does not work. Anyone can help on this please ?
Thanks in advance
Restart the phone.

Tried several time but to no avail.
Photos received from Whatsapp are in the gallery but not the rest
Just a general question: Do you access the camera through the locked screen with the little icon bottom right? Then you can only access the pictures you have just taken, to prevent strangers looking through your pics. If you access the camera through the icon when the display is unlocked, you should be able to see ALL your photos in the gallery.
To be more precise : Under the Gallery app, the Camera folder is completely gone with all the photos inside (videos too). When I take a photo, it does not appear anywhere in the Gallery app (maybe because there is no Camera folder)
Clear the cache/force stop the gallery app.
This happened to me but a restart fixed it.

Tried it several times and it still does not work
I have this exact same problem. It happened as i was fiddling around with the "hide album" feature on a different folder. Camera folder has completely disappeared from gallery app.
[edit] [solved] i was able to go into the files app and clear cache from the options at the bottom. Camera folder appeared again. Huawei p20 pro android 8.1.0

Hi,
I tried what you suggested :
Files app - click on the 3 vertical dots and the top right hand corner - clear cache
The photos still do not appear on the Camera app. FYI my Camera app did not disappear - only the photos taken with the camera.
I had to use a 3rd party Gallery App. Just have to bear with the ads.
only problem i have after messing with hide albums is that i cant see the RAW file no more in the gallery.

Try now going to main gallery list. Select "more" with three dots and choose hidden. If camera is selected, deselect it.

Yes it worked ! All the photos and videos are back ! Thanks a lot !
How did I unwittingly hide the camera album ... Anyway I purposely attempted to hide it again but I cannot see it on the list anymore.... it does not appear all the time. I had let the phone go into standby mode and "wake it" to see the camera album reappears.
Try this
go to Settings/ Application Manager/ All/ Media Storage and then delete the cache, clear data, force stop, and then turn it off and on. After that just restart and check your gallery.

Instagram Stories won't open [Mi 6X]

Video: https://youtu.be/jxWN2KHW-8E
I just got a Xiaomi Mi 6X and i've been experiencing a weird issue with Instagram. From time to time i just can't open any Stories, it just opens and closes immediately. If i closes Instagram from the Recent Apps menu, it works again, but later some time it just gets like this again.
Things i've tried so far: Clear Cache, reinstall the app, restored the phone to factory settings, changed ROM (to another MIUI one) and set clock to Auto (it was set manually before). Nothing seems to resolve my problem.
Does anyone have a solution for this?

Camera crash

Hi, after multiple qr scans (in Lime apk) camera hangs. It reboots after around 30 seconds but it's useless for me as apk need to be closed and reopen (and I need to scan everything from the begining). Tested on MIUI 11 and 10 (EEA variant).
Find app in settings, menage apps, camera / storage, then clear cache (data) and try it.

Done that but no luck. Maybe there is some Framework or background apk I can reset?
I have a different problem with stock camera. Sometimes I take a shot but instead of 12MP I get a 0.7MP 960x720 picture. I noticed that because Google Photos didn't even backed up this kind of photo.
Does anyone has this problem?
