Samsung Experience 10 Launcher - Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Themes, Apps, and Mods

Not my work, just sharing it here for good vibes - https://www.xda-developers.com/download-samsung-experience-10-launcher/

That's awesome. I can't wait to see the auto light /dark mode in action

Finally, the empty space where the icon labels and the nav bar hide...IS NOT space anymore. This and the unscrollable wallpaper on the homescreen were the only two eye poppers i always had in the new TW (weirdly, bot used to be hidden mods)
Well done Sammy, i even think they are using the boards here for feedback, sneaky bastards.
PS, dont forget to make the new launcher as default, or else it will crash and notify about some java thing.

Ok, so you can hide it on the home screen, unlike on Samsung experience 9 where it still shows if you hide it on the home screen. So you can swipe up to see it

Does this bring gesture support?

How to make this work?

Does not work on at&t note 8. Just crashes. Maybe because the app I have is not a update to 9.5 version but it's own apk. That's how it installed anyway.

You probably just set the old one as default again. Clear the launcher default settings (not the cache/data) and try again, i've already got it on on an S7E, S8, and S8+ phones. It should work as the leak itself comes from a Snapdragon variant dump, just like yours.

Doesn't look like you can do this. I have the Navbar hidden but still shows on the home screen of this launcher.

I went to the apps and did it, but it just uninstalls the regular launcher.

No it's exactly the same as 9 minus the settings. And I could not get it to stop crashing on my note 8 n950u with 8.0 crc2 build.

Ok it worked fine just not a lot of changes to me.
HOW TO UNINSTALL
I had to open the launcher settings and then go to the About section to get to the app options. Then I set Nova as the launcher and it lets me uninstall the version 10.

Thanks bro
Work perfectly
For my SM-N950F/DS

On this version I have no app icon notifications. Everything else is good.
Running on Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 8 stock.

Can't open apps bug

Hi,
I noticed a problem for my Z. I can't open my apps with one touch anymore. I have to keep trying pressing the app icon until it registers it and opens the app. Once in the app, everything works fine.
The bottom on screen buttons had no issue at all though. I tried to test the touchscreen with the preinstalled Diagnostic app but it got no problem at all.
I first encountered the problem 2 days ago and I factory reset it and the problem went away. But it is back again now.
Anyone has the same problem here?
Cheers,
C

I think it is due to the bug in the stock launcher. I changed the launcher and the problem has gone now.

+1 Replaced launcher now ok someone says this could be something to do with not using the correct charger I dont think so because this would be the same for all Launchers.
I have the same problem too!
Does developer options active or now when before the problem happened?
When you said change launcher! do you mean we cant use the stock launcher anymore?
---------- Post added at 08:24 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:09 AM ----------
The thing is, that I keep developer options active all the time! and I changed the animation scales from 1x to 0
Then after two days I have got this problem!
Last day I reset the phone! and I didnt activate the dev. options. will see if this is the problem or not!
But still wanna know, did you activate dev. options before the problem or not ?

Was the same for me, after setting the animation scales to 0, some apps didn't open anymore. Reset scales back to 1, rebooted and everything was ok again on stock launcher.
I couldn't open settings from homescreen or app drawer, but could get there through the pulldown menu.

Yeah, everything is ok except pressing app. Otherthings is ok! I can move between screen and the notifications bar also is good.
I will see the next two days. If this proplem didnt happen again, I will not active the developer options any more!

Home-Screen and app drawer in Landscape mode?

As per title, is there a file/setting we can adjust to get rotation to work in home screens and app drawer? I had this working with some custom roms and it's a nice feature actually. Now I'm back to stock 5.0.1 so I am missing it. I don't want to flash a custom rom as they usually break screen-casting to CC (infamous green screen). Most threads I've come across only adress the auto-rotation option and how to enable it. Any suggestions?
There is a build.prop addition need to enable this and lock screen rotation. It's here somewhere, I will see if I can find it but it is hard to do on the phone.

There are rooted stock ROMs that work fine. I use Clean ROM and everything works perfect. That being said, using Nova launcher allows these features, even if unrooted.

That worked like a charm! Well, I had to download "Build prop editor" because for some reason I couldn't properly save build.prop using Root Explorer but once I got to edit it it worked perfectly, home screen, app drawer and even lock-screen. :good:
Didn't want an extra app running in the bckground just for something you can achieve by adding 2 lines.

Lockscreen replacement?

I know I've talked about this before, but I'm wondering if people have any suggestions.
I'm looking for a lockscreen replacement that will allow me to use my own image as wallpaper. Ideally it will also have lollipop features (I quite like the stock lockscreen, but it would be so much better if I could put my own pic there rather than having it be my homescreen wallpaper).
I've tried AcDisplay - You have the option of homescreen or grey. Otherwise I like it.
HiLocker - Selected image is zoomed WAY in for some reason which results in a pixelated image (even at 2K+ resolution).
Widget Locker - no longer supported.
I've emailed the devs on both AcDisplay and HiLocker, but never heard anything back.
I'd be just fine with keeping the stock lockscreen if I could figure out how to set a different wallpaper for it. Does anyone know if this is possible? Barring this, does anyone know of a good lockscreen replacement that would do what I want?
Xposed with Gravity box is what you need.
It will not have the security flaws that most lockscreen replacements have, and you can change the background.

Find the app in your app manager and untick the show notifications box.
---------- Post added at 11:24 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:23 PM ----------
That's if you want to keep using the app. If not, use titanium backup to remove it completely. However, unchecking the box may keep it from running properly at times, but that would be a very rare thing if it breaks it at all.

I actually figured it out right after typing that reply. Untick show current conditions in the notification settings for the app. Now I can actually see the picture of my kids when I have no other notifications.

Im i the only one with lockscreen auto rotation is really annoying. I want to disable the lockscreen rotation without disabling autorotation. This is the first galaxy i have that does did. S8 and s8+ never did this.
Im i missing a setting or any adb or hack i can do to only disable the lockscreen auto rotation?

Now with nova i can select auto rotate force potrait, force landscape or default. In all settings lockscree rotate. They only way it doesnt rotate is going into setting in touchwiz and force potrait. But this is what im trying to avoid since it wont rotate in any app

Like I said unless you have a special Note 8 your lockscreen does not rotate in Stock. I don't think you're lying but I think there is an underlying issue as you have factory reset and it still does it. Have you messed with anything besides the dpi in Developer Options

There must be a glitch. It's odd to have come through still after a factory reset. I was just trying on my phone and it will not rotate the lockscreen regardless of me setting it to landscape. What variant do you have?

Happens to me too, nova would not effect this it's just a launcher i.e has nothing to do with the lockscreen.
Unrooted / stock
I have changed dpi though too I prefer a smaller font
Maybe it's the DPI doing it

I just figured it out bro it's because of the DPI change
I just changed back to stock (411) and rebooted and now it doesn't rotate
Temp fix:
You can change it back to 411 reboot and then change it back to your usual / that will stop the rotate but it will come back if you reboot again

Do not disturb - icon and notification gone

Hello,
I suddenly don't have a notification or icon anymore when I have DND activited, which is not so good. I already tried rebooting the device twice with no success.
I use the default theme and didn't making any mentionable changes.
Please tell me I can get this fixed without wiping my device or resetting my settings.
Try going into the phone settings and reset the app notifications and see if that does the trick [emoji6]
Sent from my SM-T820 using Tapatalk
I didn't find an option to "reset" my notifications
Go to setting->apps then click on hamburger and select show all apps. Then go to systemui->storage and clear cache. Then reboot phone.
Also in notification setting you can click show system apps as well. Then you will see the DND toggle.
I did that, still not working. Thanks for trying tho.
Anyone else an idea?

I'm talking through main settings. Go to apps. Then from the 3 dot menu show system apps. You have to have system ui. It's a vital peice of the OS. If you can't see the app then I have no idea what could be blocking you from seeing it. At that point I would reset it.

Yea I edited my post because I found system UI after changing the language to english. I guess I couldn't figure out the german name or I somehow didn't see it. However, I cleared the cache and rebooted with no success.
