Took almost a month to provide but now its here!
You need the beta google play services and the google app (ALSO In beta)
Do this by going to settings>google>three dot menu at top right>help and feedback>three dot menu at top right>open in google play store>go all the way at the bottom and it should say something about testing and please press yes im in or accept or something like that>wait>update gplay services
Do the same for the google app. Instead of going through settings. Go to play store, search for google, go all the way down and press accept or yes im in and wait, and update.
Now, the hard part. It might take up to 30 days for this to complete.
But first, go to your menu on google app, and tap settings, if you see google assistant, press settings, follow steps to say Hey Google.
EXCEPTIONS
This is only done using the google app, and can only be invoked by saying Ok Google or Hey Google.
Cannot be done on any other device that is not J327T, J327T1, or J327P.
That's all folks! Please thank me if this post is useful. Post the results and let the games begin!
Thanks
BM

And also, if you see the y shaped circle of circle icon in your notification bar, then that's the signal that it is on your device.

Aurora device search v1.2.4 makes donut global search really global.

Hi community,
Aurora device search v1.2.4 supports donut global search. You can enable Aurora as the source of global search, by clicking "Settings" -> "Search" -> "Searchable Items".
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
You could disable all other types since Aurora has not only included contacts, apps, music, but also calendar, sms, mms, video, image, and files on sdcard. Not only search via name (like builtin contacts), but also all kinds of metadata, like mobile number/organization/notes of contacts, description, title of calendar event...
(Note: you need to expand Aurora search result from "More results..." for the first time. It's designed by donut search. Search result will be shown in top list next time.)
Aurora device search is available in MarketPlace, and it's free. Enjoy it!
Any bug report/comment/suggestion/requirement, please mailto: [email protected], thanks a lot for your support!
Hmm.. interesting. I like the idea of having the expanded search scope of inside texts and the like.
Will give it a try!

Hi mthaone,
Aurora shares the same widget with google search (global search or google search widget). For google search widget, it will show "Aurora" or "Browser" when you click on the search button. Thanks.
Oh thank you very much
Not working for me.
When I search something it just comes up as blank.
Even if I type one letter.

Same here. Breaks browser (FC on run[even if I don't open it]) and the app its self seems to fc when trying to search.
I feel that the app realllllly slowed my phone down. i uninstalled it and running fine again.
Hi guys,
Thanks a lot for your feedback! Just updated 1.2.5 in MarketPlace. Please shout out if Aurora still slows down your phone. For those who met force close, would anyone please help paste the log if possible? Thank you very much in advance!

How I open Google Books on my Nexus 7 outside of US

You are probably aware that Google Play Books, Movies and Magazine apps are hidden on the Nexus 7 when you are outside of the few permitted countries like US.
Since I am in Singapore, it is extremely annoying for the app to keep disappearing off my screens and folders each time I get out of my US ip. Hence I am using the following Titanium Backup widget to make the process simpler:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Step 1. Go to widgets and look for Titanium Backup [Actions], not the other one. I am using the paid version of Titanium but I don't think it makes a difference.
Step 2. Drop it somewhere on your desktop and you should see the next screen.
Step 3. Tap on Action and choose Defrost and Launch an app.
Step 4. Tap on Select the app and choose Google Play Books or any other app you want, like the Movies/TV or Magazines app.
Step 5. Password is optional, I skip it. Tap "Create the widget" and you're done.
Now whenever you want to read your books, just tap on the widget on your screen. It doesn't matter what ip you are in, what country you are in.
I find that this is the fastest and simplest way for me to access my books. Hope it is useful to you.
Great!
Advice: put some upper case letters on thread (HOW TO)
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
I have the paid version, when I choose the Action widge and chose Defrost option, it doesn't ask me to choose an app, it just creates the widget
How about a DNS hack ? would that work ?

Did you choose "Defrost all user & system apps"? That's not the one, try scrolling up, it should be an action called Defrost and Launch

No idea about that. You can try it out.
I like my method because it doesn't interfere with any other apps or settings or internet connections and is real quick and simple.
What's your widget that you use on your homescreen?
BTW how did you use your $25 credit? I have problems with that :\

Widget is OMC, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sunnykwong.freeomc
the $25 credit? I'm not sure if it is still available for redemption, I heard it might have expired at the end of last month.
Anyway I had to log into Google Play with a US ip address, add in a credit card using a US address, but international cards work fine.

Sometimes, you download an application because you find it interesting and then finally, it don't need or like it or more (it arrives very often), or you have just changed of rom, of version of Android. I've got a lot of apps, between my changes of terminal, the articles of test for a French blog etc...It's really easy and fast to download some free apps.
In brief, for the most ancient, you must have an important download history :silly:
For awhile now there’s been a way to delete the free crapware from your download history, but not many users are aware of the feature. For your benefit we’ve provided a handy step-by-step guide to getting rid of the apps from your download history that you’re confident you won’t be revisiting in the future.
On first you need the last update of Google Play Store apk, which is 3.10.9, Especially don't say “why I do not have do it earlier ????”. For the simple one and good reason which this functionality is very recent.
=> Open the Play Store App on your device.
=> You’re going to be presented with a list of all your currently installed apps, and below that you may see a list of apps ready for update.
=> Tap the options button in the top-right corner of the screen and select ‘My Apps’ from the drop down menu.
=> Swipe from right-to-left to bring up the ‘All’ screen.
=> From here you can delete the history of any free app you have downloaded. Simply tap the circle with a line through it above the word “Free” in the app list.
=> If you want to select multiple history entries just hold down on the app until you feel the short vibration. Then go through the list and select the other free apps you want to remove.
=> Tap the circle with a line through it in the top right corner if you have multiple items selected and you will be prompted to select ‘OK’ or ‘Cancel’ to confirm your removal.
You’re done! The app list should now refresh, and it should be missing whatever you selected for removal.
Maybe it will be long for some download history. Mine was new and fresh after 2 hrs :victory:
And don't forget to rate for this thread -
Thanks

Google Now - No App for notes

When I'm in Google Now I should be able to say "Note to self" to make a reminder in the Todoist (or any other note app).
I have Todoist and Google Keep installed but everytime I try making a note, it tells me that there is no notes app installed.
The command itself is recognized correctly.
Any Ideas?

Working fine here. Possibly you need to change your google AND system language to english (us)
Okay I just changed my languages to German and tried it, I couldn't reproduce your error. See Screenshot. My last idea is that you have to be signed in in your google apps or establish some kind of linkage between now and keep.
Okay problem.fixed: gmail app needs to be installed (god knows why)
Gesendet von meinem HTC One mit Tapatalk
I just fixed this error by going to Settings -> Security -> Apps with usage access, and enabling Google Play Services.
This appears to be linked to an app being open that does something with system sound. I get this error occasionally and if I close apps in memory it goes away.
I have noticed this error often when I am using Google Maps for navigation, the phone is "off" (screen off, phone locked, still giving directions - you know), and I say "Ok Google.....Note to Self blah blah blah". Google Now will sometimes show "No notes app installed". But if I immediately say the same thing again ("Ok Google" trigger phrase or pressing the mic button then the "Note to self....") it works without issue. Any suggestions?
A little more info: I'm running Android 6.0.1 on a Nexus 5X on Project Fi
I know this is an old thread, but it shows up in searches...
Essential, Oreo 8.1.
Same problem, with Wunderlist.
Fixed by going to Security -> Google Services and Preferences -> Sign-in and Security -> Less Secure Apps -> Turn on.

How to deactivate bubbles notification on MIUI 12.5

I have finally got the last MIUI 12.5 update alongside Android 11. Everything was fine except the fact that I cannot remove the bubble notifications.
I have followed all the workaround online but it seems that MIUI rom is slight difference and I cannot find this option:

someone has fixed this?
Download activity launcher, search (with the search button) for notifications, then under the settings app entry, tap on notifications, it will open the settings page.
Xiaomi apparently forgot to enable the page in the settings. There are a couple more hidden settings as well, such as interpolated frames on videos and something with more vivid/hdr like recording of videos.

this is interesting: where can I check these video settings?
anyway I have managed to sort with the bubbles stuff: there is written "manage" under the bubble, so tiny that was impossible to spot. Anyway Xiaomi have to implement the settings because if some are hide then are useless

Just go through the settings app section, I don't remember which setting you need to open, plus I think it only works on the xiaomi video/gallery apps.

hold on, you are telling me to go to settings app section, but earlier you were mentioning to download activity launcher. Is this a third party app? I wouldn't install additional apps but, in case I have to, which app is? I cannot find on Play Store.
Whenever any notification comes, there is More option and.notifications from that app can be directly managed for future

I'm talking about activity launcher, go to the settings app section inside the activity launcher app and open all subsections one by one till you find it.
Here's the app.
ehi, anyway I think I sorted: there is a "manage" option under the bubble which is basically invisible but is there. once you click on that command you can remove bubbles and check other settings.
