Pie update, cannot unlock bl - Sony Xperia XZ2 Questions & Answers

Hi. I have buyed Xz2 with CE1 fw... Problem is that I want pie, and it wasn't released for CE1. Then I tryed to flash DE pie fw using flash tool, but there wasn't any fsc for 52. Fw, so I just used 51.1 fsc. That bringed me red flag... Then I flashed DE oreo, and using Xperia Companion updated to DE Pie.
But now I got problem. When I try unlock bootloader I get error Remote command not allowed.
In developer settings is OEM Unlockinng greyed and cannot be enabled. In service menu is Bootloader unlock allowed: Yes.
What should I do to unlock bootloader?

Then do what I did.
Using xperifirm Software you reinstall your device with the latest PIE firmware.
I use the German H8266 PIE firmware on my Hongkong H8296.

Please try an entire factory reset and reinstallation with the latest pie firmware and newflasher
It fixed some bugs at my site.

I got issue using flashtool as my phone got issue(niot stable network and wifi). Newflasher saves the day no issue after using it. Why newflasher does not work for you?

You need internet to unlock.the bootloader?
Did you use an advertisement blocker?
A VPN app?
Does your provider version of the firmware block it?

Idk why, it ask me for drivers. N (already installed)
Then it ask me for ta backup. Tried Y. Ta isn't backed up, just empty file created.
Trued N, newflasher hangs and doesn't even read any file from HDD (taskmgr disk usage)
But my problem solved. Many people have grayed that oem unlocking option in pie update, it should be fixed with next ota. (05.11.18)

[Q] Process System not responding

Whenever I upgrade to Android 4.2.2 I get process system not responding. I've tried everything flashing to a stock android 4.2.2 via sony update tool & pc companion. I even tried monXdifiedZ but even that doesn't work. Although latest CM 10.1, PAC works. Android .307 works perfectly. Please help!

I downloaded .423 (4.2.2) version of Android for my C6602 device. I flashed it via flashtool. So I think my device will be C6602. I cannot access settings because of this error (process system not responding) and the device restarts in a 20-30 seconds.

Yes. I downloaded stock 4.2.2 android version for INDIA and flashed it with flashtool and I'm still receiving the same error. I wonder why android of previous versions are working.

I know you have already tried flashing with Flashtool but try following this guide
When you get to step 4 download the two files (Stock 4.2.2) from here
When you get to step 6 tick all three boxes under Wipe and leave all boxes under Exclude unchecked.

try this app from store : FF here
with this you maybe can update your phone!
and, about battery life, its much better in nuget than marshmalow. but for me at b182 it wasnt so bad, but in b360 its way better.
The battery life of my P9 is outstanding!

you can get unlock code here : http://emui.huawei.com/en/plugin/hwdownload/download under unlock bootloader.
or, you can try using hisuite to upgrade to nuget without unlocking bootloader. No need it, no need root, no need twrp.. I upgradet my eva-l19c432b182 sucefuly to b360.
you need hisuite
you need firware updater
custom room name is EVA-L09C150B360
custom url : http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1079/g104/v72998/f1/
or: http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1079/g104/v72998/f2/
duno what difference from f2 and f1. But if it not for your phone, upgrade will fail, but your phone will boot where it was before.
ps. if you try, dont just copy text, copy url as url, kuz its not showing full text whats in url, there in mid are dots, forum are made urls shorter
http:// update.hicloud .com:8180/TDS/d...104/v72998/f1/ realy are http:// update.hicloud.c om:8180/ TDS/data/ files/p3/s15/G1079/ g104/v72998/f1/

I am currently on B182 and used firmware finder app on my P9 to download B361. After unzipping I put UPDATE.app into dload folder on SD card and started installation. The update process always stops at 40%. I am not able to install B361 provided via firware finder. Do you face the same issues?

DON'T install the single Sim firmware on a dual Sim XZ2
Install the H8266 dual Sim, like me on my H8296.
Dualsim got a little bit different hardware and probably you will change the vendor driver partition with further normal single Sim firmware updates via Ota!

Why not using the H8266 firmware?
The H8266 is running fine on my H8296.
I have a H8276 Canadian model (not on the Android P beta compatibility list). Even after flashing one of the customized xperifirm FTF's changing it to H8216, Xperia Companion still sees my device as a H8276 (despite having H8216 shown under model name in the service info screen). Is there any workarounds to getting Android Pie on my device?
The error I see in Xperia Companion:

Thanks for the reply. I understand it works for you because your device itself was H8296, and so regardless Xperia Companion still allowed you to flash the Developer Build. My situation is my device itself is H8276 which is not on the beta list, but even after flashing it to H8216 successfully (and usable), Xperia Companion still detected that my device was a H8276 and would not allow the Android P beta to be installed.
Question: Is there in any way without rooting, to successfully change where ever Xperia Companion detects my model number? There must be some other parameter somewhere that the normal firmware flash does not update.
Hello according to the setup guide book H8216/H8276 are basically the same because I also have H8276.

I finally Unlock Bootloader on my Mate 10 PRO successfully

After reading many things on internet i try HCU Client from DC unlocker and successfully unlock my bootloader.
I buy 4 credits on the site (1 credit = 1 euro) =, after that i install the drivers, download the update of client, put the phone in manufacture mode and a little pray, finally get a unlock code.
I just go to Tool all in one and try the code and finally unlock the Mate 10 Pro.

It's fine on Android 8, BUT it was patched in firmware starting June (some later). For example, on C432 it stopped working as of B145. B145 can be downgraded to B142 where it does work. B146 and later can not be downgraded.
For Mate 9 it's still working on latest Oreo.

And finally works with new firmware and rebrand the phone from C25 (Claro Latin-america) to C432.
I used a guide from this site.
http://www.androidiani.com/forum/mo...-guida-aggiornamento-rebrand-magisk-root.html
And this is from here but the guide from the site it was more easy to follow.
I don't even understand the language of the guide but with google translator of chrome it was not a problem.
I was getting to many troubles with windows 10.
I got a second laptop and installed Windows 7 and everything works like a charm.
I use the drivers from DC-Unlocker for the Windows 7 and don't install the Hisuite.
Then for do everything I used the HWOTA8_Mate10
The firmware I used to apply to my phone came from here.
http://huawei-firmware.com/phone-list/huawei-mate-10-pro

No issues on Windows 10 using latest Hisuite drivers and HWOTA8(Hisuite closed during process) and no need to apply OTA twice. Butter smooth!
I think this is the beta for L09 C432 of pie

Hi all,
Just got a BLA-L09 8.0.0.134(C34) and I'm keen to jump in here..
Can anyone point me in the direction / get a breakdown of each of the ROMs?
Really keen to get back to as stock as possible.
L09 choices as attached. Which one is stock? Is there a stock for a L09?
I note LOTS of choices at http://huawei-firmware.com/phone-list/huawei-mate-10-pro
Thanks in advance..

Hi, some of us have already rebranded to L09C432(EU unbranded) to get the latest Huawei updates. Latest official non-beta version is 8.0.0.156. However, be aware that rebranding takes a little work and risk, of course.

Thanks
Hoping to get basic, unbranded English firmware of any sort.
Thoughts?
Just had success getting unlock CODE via HCU client on Win7 (Fail on Win10)
Currently stuck with the unlock (using Tool All In One). Error in command window is: FAILED <remote: 'Command not allowed'>
Will have another crack tomorrow. Late here down under

Did you install latest drivers and checked ADB/Fastboot are working? Unlocking via AIO is usually straightforward.
I'm currently running BLA-L29 8.0.0.143 (C636patch01) I have the dual sim Mate 10 Pro. What software version should I be on? See that you guys are using BLA-L09 which I believe is a single sim. Isn't that for different hardware than my version?
I no longer have a windows 7 device. Will it work on windows 10 with the compatibility modes?

No unlock needed.
The .sin files are signed by Sony and will be accepted by the bootloader.

TWRP download link -> Android 8 -> Stock
Did you made a full wipe before using PIE?
It solved problems at my side, including the touch problem.
Does a full wiped .126 still drain?

Please search it in the tarp thread, I don't use Windows to work with.
I somehow was able to used the latest Google and drivers because I somehow deactivated the driver verification of windows 10. :silly:
