Xiaomi mia2 battery problem - Xiaomi Mi A2 / 6X Questions & Answers

Battery consumption of the phone was very fast
The core speeds I control with the CPU are running at the highest speed
No problem left when passive fingerprint reader
I can't go on this as soon as I'm waiting for a solution Xiaomi

What is the problem? after the 2nd october update the battery consumption is really good

The frequency stay always in the maximum, with the CPU-Z or AIDA64, the visualisation is the same in both.
Anyone know what's happening? This occur even when the phone is not in use.
Apparently, devices with the Goodix fingerprint sensor, when activating the use of the same to unlock the screen, has the processor locked at high frequency.

Same A2 here, no cpu issued after October update, check your background process, if you say Truth it should be another issue not fp related as both fp/fpc reports solved the issue.

Audio stutter mostly when screen is off

So I've had this problem since I bought the phone a few months ago. When listening to music on Spotify or Google play music with the screen turned off the sound begins to stutter randomly, sometimes when I touch the finger print sensor and sometimes it happens without me doing anything. This also happens when the screen is on but less frequently.
Are you having the same issue? If you are, feel free to reply and perhaps post a solution to this problem.
I am, posted it in the official support forum and some rep told me "they will look into it", did you manage to get it working? thought it was an antenna issue (mine doesnt support my carriers LTE basebands but works fine on 3G) but it happened even when I put the device on airplane mode

Nope, I haven't been able to fix this issue. I even flashed resurrection remix custom rom(which is very stable) by zormax but even he couldn't fix this problem.
My device's model is XT1771 btw

Damm, must be an issue with the fingerprint reader and/or pocket detection, it happens less when I'm holding the device or put it "backwards" in my pocket (screen not in contact with my leg)
Did you have the problem with the original stock rom? I upgraded as soon as I got it and according to some posts in the official forum it wasnt an issue before.
Or maybe the xt1771 model is just crap (I have the same one)

I had the same problem with the stock rom. I think there maybe a way to fix this by completely disabling the finger print sensor. Basically the system won't be able to detect the fingerprint sensor at all. I think it might work but I don't know how to do it.

Maybe using a flip cover could work, personally I cant stand them but they should at least cover the fingerprint sensor.
Apparently this model is the only one that has that issue, doubt we will get another OTA update that fixes this but who knows. I issued a bug report, but it will be a miracle if they even read it

Honestly I wouldn't go back to stock even if they fix this issue. Resurrection Remix offers so much more and is so much faster than stock rom at everything. Games run smoother and camera app is way better with built-in filters and more recording options. And the customization is just amazing. I really recommend u flash it if u haven't already.
Here's the link to the forum

If u need help flashing just PM me
Btw the stuttery 60fps youtube problem on stock rom is fixed in ressurection remix
Thanks, might try it if I'm able to get the unlock code and TWRP running
So far no luck but really haven't tried more than once and probably forgot to enable USB debugging or something like that. Will give it a shot during the weekend

I didn't need any unlock code to unlock the bootloader. I just used the adb command using cmd and it unlocked immediately. Be careful flashing the new rom. If you delete the nvram file u'll lose the IMEI and your phone won't able to detect SIM cards. Tell me if you want me to help u flash ressurection remix.
Ok

notification-light and vibration

I was not able to find the information. One of the "problems" i had with my A1 was, that the notification light was not very bright and single-colored. Also the vibration was pretty low so i always had to actively look for incomming messages.
So my question: Are these issues better with the A2 or is it still same/similar hardware?

I cannot compare the A2 with A1 since I did never use the A1 but the light on A2 is monocolored (white) and I feel comfortable with the vibration intensity
The vibration is way better... actuality better than most xiaomi devices...I had mi a1 and redmi note 5 ai.

Xiaomi explicitly said it will only use white LEDs due to power saving reasons. Don't expect a rgb one in any of their devices
Can someone confirm that the notification light only has like three brightness levels making it look strange when blinking? At least that's what I read somewhere

So funny, we have beta versions with fixed notifications since months! And Xiaomi only releases security patches for stable ROMs... I guess they are focused on Android Q and MIUI 11 so we can't expect anything new on Pie but the good news is that it's planned for Mid October for Mi 9 so we don't have to wait too much more

The changelog is the same as the latest 10.2.30.0 EEA ROM
It's great to know that this update is finally out for everyone else

There is no Digital Wellbeing in latest EEA ROM or I'm missing something.
DC Dimming is not working like it should be, at least with me, namely when I turn this option on, on broad day light i get some strange pulsing backlight behavior.

DC Dimming works for me with none of your problems, but I don't like the colors and how it looks at low light. I don't really have a problem with flicker at low light so I don't use it.

Glad to hear it that everything is working for You as it should.
Now, it's hard to describe this issue I have and I will not describe this as flickering rather as background light goes from high to low in intensity, like that it's following some amplitude of very low frequency (few Hertz's).
Though I didn't noticed any discoloration when DC Dimming is active.

By flickering I meant the flicker at low screen light that DC-dimming (anti-flicker) is supposed to remedy. Not everyone sees that flicker, or at least isn’t sensitive to it.
I don’t really know if it’s discoloration or if it’s just that the contrast is off or something else that makes me feel uneasy with the screen at low light and DC-dimming enabled.

I personally did noticed this "flickering" at low light environment-screen so I see this flicker but fortunately it wasn't such a big issue to me.
When this new iteration of ROM has came to life and inside was this new DC dimming option, I have told to my self "hey, look at this, excellent" but to my disappointment, i have this issue. I believe that this will be solved in new ROM, as always with Xiaomi developers, two steps forward, one step back!
At me, when this option is activated, i personally didn't noticed or felt any uneasiness, discomfort or anything like that?!
Strange!
P.S.
Maybe I have some issue with light intensity sensor but I have tested sensor in CIT and everything was as it should be?!
Strange!
Updater app is really buggy. I have to let screen turn on and update open or download speed will reduce to 50 kbps.
On time download 520 MB and after reboot failed to install. next time It's download 2.4G update file. I had to clear data updater app.
by the way after a few hours It's downloaded and installed successfully.
After update I noticed that I have something is downloading and take total of bandwidth! finally I found it with WatchDog 3G app. yes it was Updater download and download again and again and never stop.
So I had to go to updater and check for updater, as soon as I tap to check update the download progress bar appeared so I tapped and download stopped.
XIAOMI is a great company but they didn't pay attention to softwares very much.
I hope MIUI 11 will change my idea.

Yes you can, you can even install Xiaomi.eu ROM which is based on the Chinese beta versions, plus it removes useless Chinese things for non-Chinese users and some optimizations are made

Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite screen flashes on wake up

The phone in question is with 12.0.5.0 (QFCMIXM) Android 10, Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite.
The screen seems to flash bright color on wake up, after a certain amount of time after I lock it and leave it idle (10 seconds). Then I pick it up and unlock, the same as in video happens.
It does not occur if phone was previously used, and it didn't go into what I call deeper sleep(probably turning off the screen completly?)
This issue is with those newer updates, didn't happen before, although might be coincidence.
Your opinions? Did it occur with someone else?
Thanks in advance.
I had the same bug on version 12.0.5.0 guess its software releated.

Question Mi 11 Pro connection issues

I'm having connection issues with the following apps
Android Auto: Drops out after a couple of minutes, goes back to home screen
Dialler: Cannot have a phone conversation longer than 7-8 mins before disconnect
Messaging: Is constantly dropping out and reconnecting to my laptop
Zepp: Keeps giving connection message errors on phone and watch
I guess it's some setting but other than turn off any battery saving I'm buggered if I can find a solution.
I'm running eu rom 12.5.10
Mi 11 Ultra has many issues, so am I told.
Idk about any workarounds yet

I would like to know what issues? I've had mine since launch and don't have any? The post you are answering to is a 11 Pro. If you do have ultra issues, please ask ?
Hmm, changing cables didnt solve the situation?

No, I did try another cable. I have these drop outs on bluetooth as well.
Same here with the Mi 11 Pro not noticed any significant issues with anything.

I know MI11 Ultra had issue with proximity sensor/light sensor, but they fixed it in last stable xiaomi.eu releases, other than that didn't notice since lunch of MI11 Ultra
Well there are some issues,5ghz hotspot not working, rear screen a bit unused, minor stutter in certain occasions, hope these will be solved in the next updates
