this might seem like a bit of a silly question but I've read through all the Q+A's and other peoples questions but am still none the wiser for the S3 LTE I9305 uk version.
with the firmware of XXAL15 it doesn't appear that there are any roms out there, is this because they are all working on newer firmware, or will I have to wait until someone makes one for this firmware, or do I change the firmware to the same as what they are using in the rom.
Again apologies for any ignorance.
I think you mean the XXALI5 and not XXAL15

I am not sure, if Manila and other main cities are introducing LTE then yes. Otherwise you can probably see it popping up in shops, if they have managed to get their hands on stock from HK.
*updated* I heard that Smart and Globe will be doing LTE in the near future but only in Manila to begin with.
Hi, I live in Brazil and I kinda accidentally flashed a firmware of XT1068 in my XT1068, well, what's the problem? It is from another country and now I don't have signal so yeah, I'd like to ask you guys, if it is possible to you send me only two files from the whooooole package of the firmware, if you have downloaded, it's just separate these two and make me a happy boy!

Actually, both. But I bought the XT1068 version, they are different at the end of the firmware name, the xt1069 also has some kind of DTV at the end.

I think I can't help you so.... I'm running EU firmware like the one you have flashed , find me a link for the firmware you need and I give you the 2 files but can't do much, too many firmware I don't know which firmware you need for your phone :/

I think it will not work with the base 21.11.14.titan_retaildsds.retaildsdsall.en.03 KXB21.85-14 firmware you have on your phone but here it is my friend

Best way I think for you is to flash the whole firmware Blur_Version.21.11.18.titan_retbr_ds.retbr.en.BR (very fast/stable server)

C530 is the region code for the ROM. Would seem to be French region.
If it's the latest firmware, you could try searching the thread for ways of debranding and getting a newer update...

In Europe, the region code is C432...

I have read the post. Some said they can unlock the phone bootloader through Taobao.
Then TWRP and flash the rom
Anyone tried getting the files. I can't seem to download them. Hoping someone gets them before they disappear
Just let us get the metode for building a custom ROM, then we find someone that build a safe and clean ROM with the driver package and some features like, face unlock (maybe from 6t) and the camera software.

Most have locked bootloaders with no option to unlock, so this is only good for those that can....

Impossible (even states on funky Huawei), that if device is frp locked then your out of luck (meaning opinion in developer options is greyed out).
But is great if you have a Chinese varient......:good:

I can just enable OEM unlocking in dev settings ? "Allow the bootloader to be unlocked" it says.

OK seems like only the chinese version can bee boot unlocked? mine is greyed out too, sure hope that here comes an softwareupdate thats enabled it.
Otherwise somebody talking about payment for boot unlock? if we get that, WHO is going to Cook a ROM for us? and what request do we have.

We wouldn't really need them to. The Device is project treble, which means flash a system image and job is done. Everything else should pretty much work. Maybe issues with Kirin devices tho.

The whole experience across the board everything including the camera has improved. It is literally like getting a new phone. This is a killer value phone now. Picked mine off eBay open box for 280 bucks and after this update it's a hard phone to beat for this price point.

Seems like it, the 60fps mode on 4k seems to be way better now.
The update caused my Google Pay to no longer work. The app cites that my phone may be rooted or using unofficial software. Other than that everything is quite an improvement.
What about OTAs now? Will they still work when sprint releases them?

No why would an update unlock an IMEI? IMEI number stays the same no matter the update and even v40 sim doesn't get unlocked if you flash a custom rom
