Don't quote me on this, but I'm 99% sure you won't be able to buy a SIM free Nexus 4 (off the rack) on launch day. Or perhaps even for a good few weeks after the 13th.
In my experience you'd be pushed to get a just launched phone SIM free in any actual shop for at least a 3/4 weeks after launch.

With the HTC One and S4 about to come out where do we think the XZ will position itself in the sales table? I think overall Sony will outsell HTC (not by much) and Samsung will easily remain on top.

About what I'd say too. Sony did a smart thing by getting the Z out in stores before the S4, but there are a lot of Samsung fanboys (as rabid as Apple fanbois) who will storm to the shops the moment the S4 is out.

Lots of reports about sell outs in Japan, Germany ect.. Nothing official though.
Almost all retailers in india are reporting that the black and white models are " out of stock" and a wait period of 1 week for the purple one. Ditto for the online retailers too. So yeah, i guess maybe it is a sellout in India too, just a few days after the launch on tuesday....

I got my xz for 218Sgd with a free headphone worth 175Sgd. Now the prize of xz drops to 198Sgd but without the headphones.Yes nothing is free,but paying 20 dollars extra for a 175 dollars headphone is really worth it. hehe

in europe they came with earphones, not in tbe usa.
I got mine delivered on Monday, shipped from UK and got the headphones with it.

I'm in the USA and I didn't get any headphones with mine either. For the price I paid it would have been nice. I paid $250 less for my Galaxy Nexus and it came with some nice headphones....
It was from June or July this year. A lady got it as a gift from her company, but she never used it because it was way to huge for her. The headphones weren't in the box, but there wasn't enough space for it either.

Had my phone since March I think. I quite prefer it when they don't include a pair of crappy earphones. I got plenty of good ones that are actually usable...
The ones I got with my Note 3 went to hell this summer, and I've bought some very basic Sony earbuds, and my what a difference. Suddenly I could hear everything, they really were dirt cheap. So not having earbuds out of the box is not really an issue for me anymore.
nope none with mine either but then again i use my sol replubic ones all the time so if i did get some with my phone i'd junk them

Yeah I had a feeling you did as they ship EU versions. Btw did you have any issues with registering with motorola or any defects with the phone?
Was it brand new as I seen a few peoplecomplain their phones werent.
I didn't register with Motorola, should I ? Phone looks new, no defects just the production date is from December 14. I don't really think that's an issue.

December 14?? Thats well old must just be old stock hence the cheap price. If it looks new thats encouraging I might be tempted to buy from them as the price might be good nexg week on Black Friday.
Yeah register with Motorola or atleast make sure you are able to action a warranty claim if something does mess up.
