Need help installing stock firmware via adb - Moto E5 Questions & Answers

Hello guys, so I was unlocking my bootloader and I was able to, the only thing is that I accidentally put my phone in. Bootloop and afterwards deleted the OS, I got. A Motorola E5 Plus from metropcs but the model XT1924-7 shows as att version, so I need help figuring out if I need the att version or tmobile. And I would appreciate instructions for the commands on adb, thanks I'm phoneless for about a week now .

Why would you flash your phone via ADB when you can do it easily via fastboot? If you download the Lenovo Moto Smart Assistance and pick the right version it will do the rest for you.. The link is : https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds101291[/url] Please let me know if you need more assistance and I will try to help you.

Moto X Root Question

Hello, I have a question about rooting my Moto X v5.1 (build LPAS23.12-39.7-1). See, it was bought from Verizon, but it is unlocked, so I switched to T-Mobile, not sure if i'm suppose to follow the root tutorial for Verizon models still. I entered the recovery mode and saw that the bootloader is indeed locked. Sorry i'm really new at this and pretty confused, if you need any more info about my phone please ask and I will provide. Also, if you have a tutorial link that would be great as well, seen too many that have different steps than each other and don't want to brick my device. Thanks a lot!

Moto X XT1049.... but not Republic Wireless. Can I unlock this phone?

So the folks on this forum are my last hope before I give up. I bought an XT1049 on ebay (I know, mistake!) because I wanted to try Republic Wireless, and the phone has KitKat running on it - far superior to Lollipop on the Moto X in my opinion. I got the phone - great condition, and KitKat was everything I remembered (silky smooth, much longer battery time) vs. the laggy dog of Lollipop I have on my old Moto X. This should be great, right? Wrong. Turns out it's not a RW phone. Says XT1049 on the back, when I plug it into my laptop it says XT1049, but after emails with RW support and community, this is not an RW phone. The ROM is different and they don't recognize the IMEI. Sigh....
Take it to AT&T store and a Metro PCS store to see if I can get it to work on either of their networks. Guy at Metro PCS pops in a sim card, changes out Access Point Names, then tells me the phone is "network locked", and he can't do anything for me. He said it's possible to unlock it, but I'd have to know what network it was locked by. Well, it's not RW, but I don't know who or what to do at this point.
The System Version is 161.44.38.ghost_row.ACGLTE.en.US, which I've found is "ACG Regional Carriers" - which seems like bad news to me. I don't think that network - or collection of networks - would work for me in any reasonable way.
So my question - is there any way I can get this phone unlocked to work on a legit GSM network like AT&T, or preferably T-mobile? Or am I just chasing my tail and need to take this as a lesson learned? The phone works remarkably well, so I don't want to brick it. I can use it as a secondary phone at home - just with no data/calls. But I would love to find a way to use this if I can figure a way to unlock this.
Thanks in advance for your help! (I realized this should be posted in the Q&A section, but can't seem to find a way to delete this or move to Q&A.)

Thanks, Shabby! I finally got time to do this. Yes, my bootloader can be unlocked. I'm a total noob to this though, so really don't know what to do next. I haven't unlocked yet, just got the email from Motorola with my Unlock code.
Any guidance you can provide for unlocking GSM would be greatly appreciated!
Is your phone asking for code?

[Q] Moto X4 Root failed

Friends,
I tried to do root in Moto X4, I followed XDA's own tutorials and I could not. I searched several links, some asking to download the modified boot.img, among others.
I unlocked the phone and now you have an unlock message. Can you get this message out?
Someone got root because I can not do it at all. I can root on other Motorola models, but this Moto X4 does not. Thank you for your help.
The title is misleading but can you help us help you? What model of the moto x4 do you own and what firmware are you on?

Sorry for the title, I'm new to the forum.
Moto X4 1900-6, I'm using the factory rom stock. However, yesterday I traded for US firmware, Android One, and got root success. After researching a lot, I found an article saying that it was easier to do root using the US firmware.
ok, least you have it working.
If you want to get rid of the unlocked bootloader text that appears during booting, you can just flash another boot logo

Moto e5 Supra (cricket wireless)/Moto E5 Plus? Same? options?

Greetings, I just picked up the Moto e5 Supra (cricket wireless). Gotta say the 5,000mah battery is awesome and the waterproofing is a nice feature. After not having an android since Note 2 I decided to move back from Apple after my iPhone 6s Plus had issues with the digitizer board flexing. Found this beauty of a phone for a great deal at a local Cricket store for $150..
I guess i have a few questions about this phone and rooting. To start can anyone confirm that this is the same as the Moto E5 Plus? Below is my phones info. Basically looking for confirmation. Also any other info on this phone and rooting/ROMS would be appreciated. it's been a while since i last had my Note 2.

According to this, it is in fact the e5 Plus with a different name.
I have the Boost Mobile (Sprint) E5 Plus XT1924-8 and it's the same specs. I was able to unlock the bootloader and root via the instructions on the E5 forum, just have to make sure to make a backup in TWRP.
Please help me unlock my bootloader. I have the cricket wireless varient. Says its ineligible to be unlocked. XT1924-6
It can't be done if it's from Cricket
any updates on this?
I just found this in my developer options for me e5 supra... this means I shpuld be good to go right?

I am actually getting ready to start the root process myself I do remember about Motos was that the carrier didn't matter because Motorola comes unlocked . the carrier can hide that from you but the unlock process was actually on the Motorola website if you go to motorola.com or.net or whatever it is all the instructions you need are there to unlock the bootloader mode which by the way he happens to be the hardest part of the whole process all of its easy . I don't mind helping out where I can mix anyone needs it but TBH I'm not nearly as experienced as most these guys

Root E5, OneClickRoot staff failed

Hey guys. So I purchased their service for 40 bucks and 3 technicians including senior technician failed to root my Motorola Moto E5 running on Android 8.0.0
Luckily I received a refund. However I really need to make this work and according to their support my phone rejects the root file and I need a twrp flash root.
I am a noob so I need your guys help. Has anyone here rooted Moto E5 and how did you do it?

Did you ever find a way without a computer?
Dude, there is a thread dedicated to rooting. Involves booting twrp, making backup to sdcard, install magisk manager, patch boot.img, then reboot to bootloader and flash patched boot.img via fastboot.
