FAQ:
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look in the OP to see if your device is built on a nightly or weekly schedule.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels?
A. No. You can still use them, but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP, custom ROM's modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROM's. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports.
Q. Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A. You will need to use the version arm64/arm/whatever for SDK 27.
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the install instructions in the first post...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, however make a nandroid backup first as there is a chance of getting a bootloop or encountering bugs. Also bugs may only be reported on a clean flash.
Q. How do I dirty flash builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to preform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot", then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to loose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to loose root. Now swipe to flash, and then reboot.
Using the ROM:
Q. I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A. In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip that's in the substratum folder on the internal storage.
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. and do not post the content here. Thanks.
Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android. You don't need to install any Add-on's, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
- Backup your personal data (Important)
- Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
- Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
- Wipe the System, Cache, Data and ART/Dalvik cache.
- Flash the ROM + Gapps Zipfile.
- Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
- Reboot your device.
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
The root solution should be flashed together with every update (= ROM Update)
Currently Supported Root Solutions:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions higher than 14.0 doesn't require flash on every dirty flash depending on the device, some devices need you to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise it should be fine
ROM: https://sourceforge.net/projects/ng...enfone3-20181206-0150-UNOFFICIAL.zip/download
GApps:
Unofficial OpenGApps

We would like to thank CyanogenMod for their device trees, framework/settings mods and their code that was incorporated into this project. We also extend our gratitude to the devs whose code that we have incorporated. Proper authorship has been maintained and can be viewed on our repository.
Special thanks also go to Slim Rom for some of their features, AOKP, and anyone else we may have borrowed commits from that hasn't been mentioned here. If you feel you have been unfairly left out, please - let us know.

I pay Dropbox for space and server speed and I get about 4mb/s which in turn let's me download a rom of this size in about 30 seconds. If it's taking too much of your precious time then please do not use this rom. Let's keep this thread positive, thanks.

You probably can. In fact, it even works on AOSP-based ROMs (Nexus Experience) so there should be no issues with Carbon.

Not exactly what I meant. There's this white glow around popup notifications and it's kind of annoying. I was wondering if that could be removed.

@jejecule: flashed 20160223 and found these minors, which were in 20160207 yet. Maybe you will have a look at them:
- camera: focus settings are greyed out
- privacy guard: for new apps always Off, although I generally switched it on.
In OT you mention QS: 4 tiles/line. Don't find it.
ROM runs smooth. Thanks a lot.
Also you do with the SIII, to enter else but you.

@jejecule: I saw the old QS-layout on AOSP-MM yet (1 page only, 3 or 4 tiles/row, without the idiot build-in edit mode), so it may work.. Not important, only charming.
It is giving error in settings and many other things. How to solve?

Reporting Bugs
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

Are you talking about Viper4 right? So I recommend you install Quasar Atmox, in addition to having the latest version of V4 (2.5.0.5), it contains add-on tools for audio enhancement (e.g. Douby Atmos).

Also it's android 11 based, in case that wasn't clear from the thread title XD
What's up with the download link? It only shows android 10 builds

Is it possible to implement this feature? I like it when the icons are shifted more towards the middle in the status bar.
Just a short question....what about the battery life for normal use? last but not least does this rom implements the aptx+hd+tws audio through bluetooth? thanks a lot

hey man so i installed the rom, even this gcam, looks great
just one problem, i am missing about 220GB of space...
My phone is showing up as only 16GB when the phone is 256GB Variant.
Any help on how to fix that? Perferably without losing my settings.
thanks the developer built this amazing rom 4 us(better than the **** **** miui12).
ok i fixed the follow question via extra magisk module.
##solved##
i want to ask why the font cover via magisk module is not applied fully?
magisk ver 21.4, maybe just happened in system apps.
i have found where didn't applied: system ui, settings.

This ROM has many many problems, the screen in lock mode remains on, which is why it consumes a lot of battery. The screen lock after a few minutes almost always hangs and cannot be unlocked, only reboot. The same happens when an alarm sounds, you must dazzle to be able to turn off the alarm, but the mobile hangs, until you can only restart it. It is also silly for a smart phone to make it work like the OS of an IPHONE in terms of screen functions (return, close or change APP), which is going backwards ...
*******************************************************

Hell yeah! Starting off 2021 with a bang! Thank you Adrian
amazing adrianDC i dont get out of amazement android 11 on my old device
I have the twrp-3.3.0-0-huashan.img version installed, can I upgrade to 18.1 or is it necessary to have the twrp 3.5 version?
Thumbs up for the new rom in 2021. Thank you Adrian .

As stated twice in this thread, TWRP 3.5.0 is the recommended version.
If anything goes wrong on an older version of TWRP, the issues can't be analyzed.
Also, updating the TWRP version is a 60 seconds job at most,
I hardly see any reason to wonder about keeping an older one if everything still works.
PS: Please don't PM directly after a public post asking for the same thing, I answer only when available.
Thanks AdrianDC for your answer, I already updated twrp 3.5.0 and installed rom 18.1 and encountered crashing issues of play store, launcher and system UI, I also constantly lose wifi signal, screen stutters due to to the high consumption of RAM and finally the device gets too hot this did not happen to me in the previous versions
I have tried to use another launcher, it stops and won't start
Due to the fact that my original battery had widened a bit and damaged the case's mounting screws, I was already thinking about a funeral for the Xperia SP. You've piqued my curiosity again! You don't leave much choice - you are crazy
Outstanding work, the ROM is working fine, but after flashing Magisk with BootBridge, it doesn't boot, no Sony logo or anything. I had to use FlashTool in fastboot mode, flash TWRP and reinstall the ROM again.

Same for me, Magisk seems to be bricking the device. GApss work fine though.
Thanks for the 01/25 update, it works just fine!
WPA2 with PMF or WPA3 are not able to connect. This is nothing new, though. I never managed to connect the XSP to such wireless networks

Gracias por la actualización del 25/01, ¡funciona bien!
WPA2 con PMF o WPA3 no se pueden conectar. Sin embargo, esto no es nada nuevo. Nunca logré conectar el XSP a tales redes inalámbricas.

This rom is very nice. Thank you.
But I cannot use magisk with BootBridge for Sony ELF.
I use gapps that make for Android Go edition, because opengapps use a lot of memory. It can download from here.

Esta rom es muy bonita. Gracias.
Pero no puedo usar magisk con BootBridge para Sony ELF.
Utilizo gapps que hacen para la edición Android Go, porque los opengapps usan mucha memoria. Se puede descargar desde aquí . View attachment 5208065View attachment 5208059

I use RoarTheGapps_GO_20201214.zip.
When I tried it first,TWRP said there aren't enough space. So, I placed "tgi-mini"file in tgi_config_files_v3.zip in the same path of that gapps zip. It installed only play store and work like nomal gapps.
But Goggle Drive cannot use with error. Chrome,Youtube,Gmail GO is OK.
