Sort of, if by which you mean that literally the very top of the screen - a row or two of pixels immediately beneath the notch - is very slightly brighter than the rest of the screen.

In my case, 0.5cm at the bottom border of the screen are a bit darker.

Pressure on the screen

Hey guys, there seems to be something a little irregular with the screen. When I press on the screen anywhere, there is a spot on the screen that appears to be what looks like pressure being exerted on it. Just like how it looks when you press on the LCD screen of a laptop. This happens also when i press on the case at the top on the left side. The spot I am talking about is about 1 in down from the top of the screen and about 1.5cm to the right from the left of the screen. It is not easily seen unless the screen is displaying a very dark background.
There is a membrane over the surface of the screen that will flex as any pressure is applied to the touch screen, both by the pen and by the frame. If you look at it through polarized sunglasses you can see the effect of any pressure quite dramatically. Unless the screen is malfunctioning or there is color distortion, I don't see a problem.

i dont think thats what hes talking about, he makes it sound like whne he touches the screen a "lcd ripple" appears somewhere else on the screen.
Mine does this when i slide hte keyboard, i can see one in the middle, it kinda worries me, especially since my last kaiser's screen broke and i didnt do anything, i just took it out of my pocket and it was like that.

Screen backlight - bottom-left corner slightly dim

Anyone else notice any slight dimming of the backlight around the bottom edge of the screen, as if the backlight doesn't quite reach or doesn't fully illuminate that part of the screen? Mine is very subtle, but noticeable in the bottom-left corner. The average person probably wouldn't notice it right away, but once you use it for a few minutes in an app with a white background, it's pretty obvious. I haven't owned an LCD based device in a few years, so not how common this issue is these days. I wish the OCD part of me could just ignore it.

I've noticed the same thing, it's also more apparent with power saver mode enabled. It was happening to the models at the store as well so I guess it's just how it is.

[Q] Display Problems "Bright Spots"

I got my Z3C a while ago
it was fine and works great
till I noticed there was a bright spot near the bottom of the display
and another bright line that goes along the vertical plane of the screen
these whitish discolorations can be seen best when displaying white color
what's your opinions on this?

Yellow tint/shadow at the bottom of the screen

Hi everyone, it's been ten days since I've had this phone after a few years with an S6. The problem is that I see a yellow shadow at the bottom of the screen, which is observed no matter what screen setting you set. Is very annoying because just when I open something with white background the shadow is noticeable at first sight and if you rotate it back vertically, the yellow tone disappears and gives the white tone that it is supposed to have. But not only that, if it slightly tilts, the shadow appears again and the yellow tint extends towards the top of the screen.
Is this a normal "problem" of IPS LCDs or is it just my phone (defective screen diffuser)?
Thank you.

Fingerprint sensor location in the middle of the screen or on the bottom side?

Hi everybody
I think that the fingerprint sensor should be placed in the middle of the screen.
Many of the renders we have around the web, show it at the bottom of the screen though.
With a screen as large as this, I think this would be even worse than having it on the back of the phone.
Now that they can put it in the screen itself, the most convenient and user productive place for it is somewhere in the middle of the screen.
So if anybody knows where is it situated, please share this.
I cradle the bottom of the phone with my pinky. That would position my thumb 1/3 from the bottom of the screen. Putting it in the middle would strain my hand a little.

Didn't get that... I'm only saying that when I'm holding a phone with similar size, the thumb is around the middle of the screen or a bit lower than that.
it is the bottom middle
