How to enable the new gesture system in android P? - Moto X4 Questions & Answers

I really want to try the new gesture system that is present on the pixel lineup, does anyone know how to enable it on Moto x4?

If you mean this new navigation bar at least on my model XT1900-2 I found it nowhere

Official Pie doesn't have it.

It not available because you can use swipe gestures on fingerprint enabling it from moto app.

Trust me, you don't want it. It's on my Pixel C with LOS16 and I wish I could turn it off

This should work

Oneplus 3t Google Search Bar

I have somehow disabled the Google Search Bar from the home screen of the Oneplus 3t. I am using the oneplus launcher. When I hold down the screen and bring up the customise option, I only have the option for Gestures and Icons. There is no option for the search bar.
Can anyone tell me, how to enable this option again?
Thanks

they did it in the nougat update..
I must not have had it enabled then as my phone updated to nougat as soon as I got it. The only customisation I have now is with the gestures and icons. There are no other sections to choose from.
Google Search Bar
It is now a widget.
Thanks. I see it now.

Moto Z3 Play and Android Gesture

Hello everyone.
The Moto Z3 Play has the Moto Geste, but with Android 8 and 9, can we replace the Moto Geste by the Andoird Geste and remove the navigation keys and the small navigation bar Moto Z3
Sorry for my bad English
Thank you in advance for your answers
Go to Moto → Smart Gesture → Single button navigation
I'd prefer "old school" though

It's not possible to use Android gesture in the official ROM, there's no such option, only two options are: Moto gestures or buttons, that's it.
I wish moto gave us that option

How do I disable gestural nav and keep continued conversation?

Apparently Google won't let you use the old 3 button nav bar with continued conversation with the assistant... I found this article, think it will work?
Here's the command I'll execute in adb
adb shell cmd overlay disable com.android.internal.systemui.navbar.gestural
I'll enable lmt pie at that point

Let us know how it turns out.
It doesn't work with them disabled either. Nor if you disable the goog nav gestures and use an option from the market like Oneplus gestures. The new assistant seems to be tied into the stock nav gestures in some way. A real pisser because the Oneplus gestures work better than stock but then you lose the assistant. I've read this is because google wants to make sure the swipe to assistant isn't ditched and most wont want to go back to the old assistant.

yeah you're right, doesn't work it basically just does what I can already do in the settings by switching it over to the 3-button navbar.
What we need is some way to fake the system out to think gestural navigation is enabled when, in fact, it is eliminated.
Sorry man, I was all over that on release day. I've been hoping one of the smart people takes an interest and figures it out but I suspect it's buried on the proprietary side and were going to be out of luck until something changes.

That's really frustrating but I'm glad to hear I'm not alone. Maybe one of our devs will figure it out at some point. Otherwise I won't be using continued conversation!

Gesture navigation

Hello, since the android 10 update (ww) the navigation gestures have changed. I seem to have lost the original rog style swipe up from home etc, without any bars etc showing onscreen. Is it the same for everyone?

Yes is same. I like it, but we cannot use it across other launchers
I am using an app called Hide Navigation Bar to hide the white bar, which works great. I tried to use xda's Navigation Gestures for the same purpose but it does not work well in fullscreen landscape game, while Hide Navigation Bar does. That being said, I hope ASUS can implement an official hiding gesture hint feature just like what Samsung does.
I'm using the "adb shell cmd overlay enable com.android.internal.systemui.navbar.gestural" command to re-enable gestures in Nova Launcher, but it's not a perfect solution and resets to standard navigation when the phone reboots.

Many thanks to you both. I'll have a look at those methods, as google's implementation is uuuuugly compared to asus!
Im using these two apps and I can say my experience is even better than what I had on a9 because now I can cboose different options and actions for my gestures
Xda navigation gestures, to hide the navbar (other apps I have tried didnt work) it also has the issue when using the phone in landscape mode the volume control bar goes out of the screen
Fluid navigation gestures, now this app offers everything I could have asked for!

Question Notification brightness slider on the bottom or double line clock

I've searched everywhere so far to bring the notification slider to the bottom, but no option is available.
Second thing, the option of the clock in the lock screen is missing called double line, so the clock is not so big.
Anyone knows how can we achieve them over root, any magisk module?
Or double line clock on lock screen?
Simply don't root your phone
It's new enjoy OTA

It's not related to root, in my case it's a feature on Android 12L where Android 12 don't have it, I hope they bring it to Android 13, every pixel phone has the option to chose for the brightness slider to be at first swipe and on the bottom or no, and the option to pick btw big and small clock.
