I hit the fingerprint sensor every time I take it out or put it in my pocket and that triggers the screen to turn on.
I don't really need the sensor, but I haven't seen a way to disable it in any of the settings?
I would like to the same thing, I dont really need the sensor active
Settings; lock screen & password; screen lock & fingerprint. You'll turn off your fingerprint reader and lock screen from here. Be sure all your fingerprints are deleted.
There are no method to turn off the fingerprint sensor at the moment, the above method just remove the fingerprint but screen would still be turn on when press on sensor, which is an issue for me also.
If this is really bothering you, stick a sticker on top xD

I still can't figure it out that after my screen locked for awhile, then my fingerprint sensor not working only until I press the power button.
Is there some way to disable the brightness change when unlocking? I read the faq in the App and it says it does it to fix auto brightness but since I dont use auto brightness at all I wish I could disable this effect

I had same issue, try disabling pocket mode in settings,.... You will have working finger print sensor

Don't disable motion detection and your fingerprint sensor will work fine.
any good advanced settings for Naptime (without aggressive doze)?
I mean for light doze, deep doze ......

I just bought an Honor 9 lite and was having fun with my first fingerprint sensor, then I saw the option to "unlock the phone using fingerprint when it is locked or with screen off".
Is there a way to only enable fingerprint unlocks if the screen is on?
I would prefer pressing the lock button and then unlock, to avoid unwanted unlocks while the phone is in my pocket

To check if my phone is still in my pocket, or to pick it out of the pocket...

Does anybody know why I can't use fingerprint unlock at Bitwarden? I can only use face unlock for biometric unlock
You have to disable completely the face recognition for it to work. I think it's a bug in the rom. Also when the phone doesn't see your face it switch to fingerprint after maybe 10 seconds of trying to recognize yourself
I bought 2215 in China. The fingerprint scanner does not work. The phone is shaking and on the screen "Tty again. Unable to complete fingerprint settings. Please retry". Is there a possibility to fix it?

This was the initial setup. No registered fingerprints.

You can't set up fingerprint properly or the scanner hardware is not working?
Clean your hands and the phone screen.
When you register your fingerprints double up on each digit
