Hi, I've just updated to Pie yesterday and found my phone does not wake the screen when I receive notifications. It could back then in Orea. The problem exists despite having the option on in setting. I also did factory reset just now and the problem is still there. Any idea?

Hi all,
I've searched high and low for a solution to this and am desperate to have a resolution. My problem is when a text message comes in my phone wakes up and doesn't go back to sleep/standby (even though its set to shut off after 1 minute of inactivity). I have disabled all notifications when an SMS arrives, but still the phone ignores this and wakes up the screen and doesn't disable it again (quickly draining the battery).
Does anyone have a solution for this? A registry tweak/software package?
this should not be happening. Do you have any third party software like phonealarm configuring your notifications.
If not, you may need to do a hard reset to fix this because it should not happen. You can also try downloading memaid (full version needs to be purchased), which has a tool to clear the notification queue.
I'll check out what I have installed that might be causing this....

I have buy Xperia Z last week, and after few days I got problem with my notification drop down menu. The problem occur when i try to type sms and the notification drop down menu keep blinking and drop notification menu suddenly.
My other problem I received is when the screen is turn off the phone suddenly light up and off, but this kind of problem occur randomly even i don't have any sms or notification. FYI, my phone doesn't have internet connection so i don't received any email for the phone to light up and remind me for the notification.
My android version is 4.1.2. I have already reset to factory setting. Have anyone got any idea to fix the problem since this is my first time using android phone and this really annoy me. Help me.

have u restart it after reset to factory?
If nOT restart it by >> vol.up + pwr.btn - 10seconds \3 vibrations << it s official way to hard-restart ur phone.

After the Lollipop update, I receive an MMS the notification shows on the lock screen as before. If I don't acknowledge it, the screen remains lit til the phone dies. The time out is at 30 seconds. I really don't want to do a factory reset of the phone... Anyone else had this issue and know of a fix yet? No fix for this, but the vibrate pattern for messages is gone. Now is just one long vibrate that is annoying. Why do they just take things out???
I had a similar issue in Kitkat. I don't remember how I fixed it but I do remember that it was related to smart stay and the fingerprint reader. I disabled both then enabled them or some sort of combination like that which seemed to resolve it.
The long vibration is freaking annoying. I want the shorter on back

When I receive a notification the watch vibrates but screen does not turn on automatically. I have light flow and I am able to set recurring vibrations to the watch but it doesn't turn the screen on. Has anyone had this problem before?
Side note: I wish we had more control over how the notifications are delivered to the watch.

Same issue. Worked after an updated and now not anymore. Android wear is failing the Gwatch R. Instead of working on new features or taking away existing ones google devs need to fix the basics first.
I have a mi9 lite updated to the miui 11.3.5 and for a few days when it is at rest when receiving a call it sounds but the screen does not turn on although if I make the gesture on the screen I can answer the call, and the same thing happens with the alarms, I have already given all the permissions and made factory reset and it remains the same. I don't know how to fix it anymore.

I have the same problem. Sometimes the sceen doesn't light up when it should from the power button, if I use the fingerprint method it works as usual. Not sure what the thing is.
