Emui recovery does not allow to wipe data/factory reset - Huawei Mate 20 Lite Questions & Answers

Hello!
Mom of my friend tried the fingerprint lock method on her phone, and she has forgotten that it requires remembering PIN code that has been set.
For now, we’ve tried to manage a factory reset from System Recovery, but this piece of electronics does not allow us to select that option.

Have any one go an idea how to manage factory reset at this point?

I think that even if u do reset ur device it will ask for PIN again.

Since when factory reset keeps user data?

I don't know if other way is available for recovery pin code. For now I suggest to reinstall the firmware using network metod.
-Turn off the mobile device
-Press up and down volume
-Connect the mobile to PC using a cable
in this way you can dowload the last firmware and reinstall it
Another way is using the dload metod.
you can download the prolerly firmware from:
https://androidhost.ru/search.html
then copy the dload folder on SD card
and restart the phone with volume up and volume down and power on
I will do a guide how to reinstall original firmware or remove brand from phone.

Recovery Problem

Hello guys. Today wanted to switch to another rom and eventually get rid of my junk files(I formatted the SD card). I also wanted to flash CWM Touch. So what I did was formatting the SD card and flashing a new recovery (CWM Touch). Somehow my device got bricked. I tried to unbrick it through Odin but the problem is that my PC doesn't recognize the phone, even though I have the latest drivers installed. I can't enter the recovery mode either. However I can still enter the download mode. If I turn it on normally, this image would appear:

Any suggestion?
There is a solution. Look at wiki page for our phone...you need to flash bootloader...

The Wiki Page is here:

I think the easiest is to flash via ODIN in the download mode a official image for our phone.
And....unfortunately your post will be moved...thanks and happy flashing~
Well my problem was that my pc did not recognize the phone, so odin was useless. However somehow my pc recognized it after a lot of attempts. Thanks for your replies guys and sorry for posting in the wrong section.

send it to repair!
loooooong press on power button until the watch restart.
at LG logo, swipe from top left to bottom right -> you are now in bootloader mode ... choose recovery, click, factory reset .... enjoy.
And stop using weird watchmaker faces
I also tried that, but the situation remains the same.
Then, maybe you are bound to request an exchange.
You can actually try one more thing. Maybe you have corrupted data on your system partition. You should try flashing the 5.01 image directly in the watch. If you can reach bootloader moder and recovery, then you should be able to do that with adb commands.
There is a topic describing the steps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-watch-r/development/manual-ota-update-root-t2969845
problem is now only accessible whenever and select fastboot recovery screen freeze it so. I am now a deadlock here. k it made me get into recovery.
It looks like you have a defective unit. You should really try to change it.

Stuck on the recovery screen as per attached pic

Dear friends,
I am facing an issue where my P10 suddenly started to reboot on the EMUI screen giving me 3 options only:
1- Download latest version and recovery (doesn't work tried on different wifi networks)
2- Reboot (just brings me back here)
3-Shutdown

I already tried the guide in below link:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p10/help/tutorial-recovering-p10-p10-brick-t3600211
but I got stuck on the step of running the adb/fastboot didn't understand that, I am not even sure if this guide will help with the problem.
I have downloaded the update file for my P10 already and the Huawei Update extractor if that helps but a bit stuck.
Can anyone help?
Thank you so much
You ended up eRecovery for some reason. Did you try connecting to your phone from a PC with HiSuite?

Yes I did, it just says nothing is connected!?
Since HiSuite fails to connect and eRecovery refuses to download the latest rom I think there are only two options left:
- send your device to Huawei for repair.
- seek help from paid services like FunkyHuawei or DC phoenix.
Or did you unlock your bootloader before it bricked?

[HELP] [SOLVED] X522 Brick Stuck in Initial Setup X526 Stock ROM

Unfortunately while flashing a new recovery my phone died bricking it. Even worse for me, I don't currently have any rom on it so it couldn't boot into anything after that point. To attempt to recover from this I followed this guide, and have successfully gotten the X526 stock rom booting. However, I am unable to get to developer options to enable the OEM unlock option as I can't skip the initial setup. Every time I hit skip the attached warning shows up & prevents me from exiting setup. If anyone has an ideas as to what I could try that would be amazing!
SOLUTION:
I am unsure why this worked, but moving the SIM card from the rightmost slot to the leftmost slot enabled the network. Once the network is enabled, instead of skipping setup just setup the google account and you can get around this warning.
Warning:
The system has detected that you might have performed an unsafe factory reset or system update. Make sure that the network connection is normal and that you sign in with the same Google account that was accessed during the last session. The phone won't start properly if the login fails due to Google's security policies.

Redmi 8 can't start

Hello all
I have a problem with my phone. After starting the day all normal, tried to install an app for my job (KeyAccess Pass) to enter the building and etc, left my phone by side and continue to work. After some time, I've realised the my phone was off, tried to power on and since then stuck in the screen bellow.
More info: probably bootloader locked, no root, stock rom MIUI 12.5.something updated with OTA almost 2 months before. Tried power + volume+ and power + volume-, nothing different.

if you still have an active warranty, id suggest to check in at a service center.
try accessing safe mode (power on then voldown). most of the different boot modes require a 2nd vibe tick, is it still locked out? if you do get in, try formatting data via recovery. if not, yeah the service center is literally the only way with a locked bootloader.
Thanks for the reply. No warranty for me, and I'm locked out yet, so I will think a bit if I will go to the service center or buy another phone...
