Installing and changing fonts on One UI no longer works? - Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Questions & Answers

I've used Theme Manager to create font apk's in the past and have been able to install them and then select them in the Display->Font Size & Style->Font Style settings.
With One UI, I can install the fonts but I no longer see them as options to select from. Has anyone figured out a way to install custom fonts?
Thanks in advance.

I use the app "AFonts" for building custom fonts (via .ttf files) on both Oreo and Pie. Works fine.

Hope this helps!

Works on mine, did you restart the phone after installing? Otherwise the new installed fonts don't show up.

Thanks for all the help - for some reason I needed to uninstall and then reinstall it to get it to work on my 960F/DS. For some reason, I can't get the fonts available on my N9600 (HK version). Anyone have a custom font installed on their N9600?

Oh, that's it? I feel pretty stupid now haha
It caused a little problem in WhatsApp though. The weird symbols are letters in Hebrew and it only happens in the name field. Also, it doesn't happen in any other application. I'll try finding a solution and will update if I manage to

I've tried placing the font I wanted (bellota) in the folder, but it seems not to be working (at least the regular one). I'm not sure if it's because I've an OMS Rom
If you have time can you test it or at least tell me if I did something wrong??
BellotaMagisk
Edit: OMS was messing up with this module

Make sure that you replace the file name with the exact name that it is in system, and after a first installation flash the zip via magisk and not TWRP
Hope can help you

Okay so the file name is exactly the same as it is in system/fonts. Shall i first flash via magisk or twrp? If i flash via magisk after the first flash the app crashes. Thanks
EDIT: I've got it working now, thanks!

Adding a custom system font

Hello everyone,
I have a little task. I want to change my system font. I'm on OOS 4.0.3 rooted. Every single app that says it does it only allows me to choose from their font selection. But I have a custom TTF font I'd like to use.
Is there any solution to get this working?
You could just mod the app & insert your font? Quickest way would be to get the font apk on your computer, change the last bit from (.apk) to (.zip), unzip & swap the font package but inserting yours, then resign the apk with a resigning app from the playstore, then install the app & pick the font name you swapped! Or you could go poking though your system files from a file manger app & just paste straight over the top then reboot. But to be honest the first way would probably be safer. But make sure before you start have a Recovery Backup ready just in case

Dark mods

Made some dark mods for my Xc, (stock 7.1.1).

Note that SystemUI apk is deodexed. Zip file will flash apk, but will not remove your odex directory, (I'm not that knowledgeable about scripts - If someone can write it for me, let me know). You have to delete the odex folder from SystemUI directory.
(more screenshots in post 5)
Also, here's dark contacts and dialer. Install as normal apk...
Is dark mode root only? How to I add it to my phone?

You need root, or at least recovery, (replaces system apks). I didn't add any link, since not sure if anyone wants it. If you have root and want to try, let me know.
Made new dialer and contacts apps. Links added to op. Install as normal apk.
Made a flashable zip - framework-res, SystemUI, Settings and SemcSettings. Haven't found any bugs so far.

Hi mate, dialer and contacts are working well on XZP on 7.1. Thanks a lot, love black themed apps, much nicer than Substratum.

Hello, and thanks a lot for your work!
But how exactly do I replace original dialer app by your dark themed one?
Thanks for your help.

For contacts and dialer just install normally.
It doesn't work. It tells me : the package is already installed...
When I install contacts or dialer normally, I have a message telling me that it's impossible to install it because a package with the same name is already installed...

Question Custom fonts via Magisk Module

I recently upgraded from the Pixel 3a to the Pixel 7. On stock rooted currently. Tried searching for a solution, but most tutorials are outdated now. A few years ago Tulsadiver helped me with this Magisk module (attached) to apply my preferred custom fonts. I'm just looking for a way to apply the same fonts from this module. I'd be happy to make a donation if someone could help me - or point me in the right direction.

I use Font Manager from here https://www.androidacy.com/font-man...ram&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=social2web
Install magisk module, then use terminal to choose and apply your desired font.
Thanks for the reply. I looked at Font Manager, but it sounds like you can't apply your own fonts - you have to choose from what is available? That's my dilemma.
Edit: Looks like the download for Font Manager isn't working
