Touch response while wireless charging - Razer Phone 2 Questions & Answers

I have a wireless charging cradle in my truck that I use while using Android Auto. Whether Android Auto is running or not, the touch response of the screen is totally unpredictable while wireless charging. Swipes mostly register as taps, and most taps don't register at all or register in completely the wrong area.
Wondering if anyone else is getting the same behavior?

[Q] S-pen response

I just want to ask has anyone noticed that sometime while using the ®S-pen on note the screen responds even before the pen touches the screen!!! well it doesn't happens everyone but once in a while particularly when using note while charging, the other thing is the screen does brightens up if u bring the s-pen near the screen before it goes to sleep mode. Is this normal?
One thing more while charging the screen becomes Less responsive, I mean it need a b it hard press for thekeys to response on the screen
are you using it while charing using a computer's usb port? some computers aren't well grounded/earthed - eventually that'll mess up your touchscreen. you should use the official charger or a voltage control usb cable.
thanks for the reply
well i use the wall charger to charge my note.....and even after recently updating tbe firmware. ...the problem still persist.....what i have noted is the hard press problem occurs when 80% of mobile gets charged. The s- pen response is the same even after updating.

[Q] Disable autorotation when charging trough magnectic dock

Hey everyone.
I use the magnetic dock connector to charge the phone at night, this way i hope i'll preserve the water-tight flap that covers the Micro-USB port.
When the magnet attaches to the phone the phone automatically starts to auto-rotate , even when it's disabled in my settings. I know this has probably something to do with people that use desk-stands with a dock connection, while keeping auto-rotate off.
To me, this is very annoying, because when i charge the phone i use a cable. I try reading/watching movies at night while my phone is charging, but the dock-enabled-auto-rotate does the rotation in all four directions.
Is there any way to bypass thing mildly annoying feature?
Thanks a bunch.
Yes very annoying this is. I suspect it's not possible to disks rotation consisting the only official magnetic charger Sony supply is for the dock whereby the device is connected horizontally hence rotation is required. By that logic I'd say no (for now)

Touch Screen goes crazy when charging

Please tell me someone else has experienced this.
When using and charging at the same time under Windows 8.1, the touchscreen goes crazy where one touch results in about 5 random touches all over the screen. Only way to stop it is to unplug the charger.
It seems to be something to do with the charging port, if the cable is putting slight pressure on the port in one direction or the other, then it has that effect on the touch calibration... very odd.

Wireless charging won't work unless screen is locked

What's the trick to allow the Note 9 apps to function while it's wirelessly charging? Currently, the phone won't even charge when wirelessly docked unless I lock the screen or enable Daydream.
Is there a hack that can fix this arbitrary limitation?
There's no hack. The Note 9 functions just fine while wirelessly charging. You have a bug.
Thanks for the quick reply. So, you can have an app like YouTube running on the foreground full screen while your phone is fast wireless charging?
Mine DOES show that it's charging in the notification bar, but the red led on the phone doesn't turn on unless the phone screen is locked. So, it looks like it's charging, but it doesn't actually charge the battery. When doing searches on this issue, I just see others asking the same question without a solution.. even for other Android phones.

Mine charges just fine while using it. I often put it on the wireless charger and watch Netflix. Of course using it will slow the charge rate, but it should at least keep up with the use.
Does your red led for charging stay on for wireless charging while watching Netflix, etc? Mine turns off unless the screen is off.

No that light only stays on while the screen is off.
Your get the same thing when using wall charger, indicator only turns on when screen is off since it's a notification LED. It isn't meant for it to stay on while screen is on since you can see battery icon showing its charging.
From what I've experienced, the phone will charge wirelessly, with screen on (about 800mAh) and wirelessly fast charge (I cannot get a mAh measurement, because the screen has to be off to get the "fast charging" toast message seen on the lock screen) with the screen off.
This seems like an odd limitation to purposely install, but there it is.

Screen Unresponsive/Lagging when wireless charging??

So I have this weird issue where the the screen becomes partially unresponsive while wireless charging, like I'll have to tap an icon 3 or 4 time before it registers along with scrolling being really unpredictable. I have a case for it and it's this one. If I take the case off then the issue goes away. I am using the official pixel stand and also some wireless charging car mount I got on amazon. I found this out because I was using the car mount to charge my P5 wirelessly and was trying to use navigation but the screen was really unresponsive, after I noticed it I tried it on my pixel stand and it does the same thing. There was one other guy on the google forums who posted about this issue but no one has presented a solution yet. I just don't understand what wireless charging has to do with the screen being unresponsive and only when I use my case. On top of that the case I have is not very thick at all. My best guess is that the case I have has a thickness that is at the threshold of thickness for wireless charging to work properly so the phone constantly switches from "charging" to "not charging" over and over again and that is somehow lagging the entire phone making it seem like the screen is unresponsive. If anyone else has this issue or if others could test this out with their own P5 (with whatever case and wireless charger you have obviously) and report back that would be great.
