2 Download Folder locations? - G 2014 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm using LO 14.1 and experience a strange problem.
When I navigate to Files -> Menu -> Downloads I only see some of my older downloaded files but not files that I recently saved via Chrome and oder Apps. In addition to that it is not possible to create new folders in that location in Files App.
My currently saved files appear when I go to Files -> Menu -> Moto G2 2014 -> Downloads. In Total Commander I see the the full path, that is /storage/emulated/0/Downloads.
No big issue for me but when I connect the phone via USB to a pc I can only see the old files (that I see via Files -> Menu -> Downloads on my phone) and I cannot access my recently downloaded files.
Any suggestions?

how to access windows folder in Vista device center 6.1
in active sync 4.5 it was easy
Open Windows Explorer. Press ALT. You'll see a menu. Press Tools -> Folder Options. Go to the View tab. Uncheck Hide protected operating system files and also chose Show hidden files and folders. Press OK.
Now you'll be able to see the Windows folder on your PDA.

[Q] Just a quick question

Hi, when you go into the "media" folder on your tab, is it possible to add more folders there then the stock photo, video, download?
Yes, its possible
And how do you do it?
Use the stock file manager "my files", or download astro file manager or efile from the market.
or use your pc/mac via usb
Using your tab only, click "my files" icon and navigate from there to wherever you want to place your new folder. Then use the context button to reveal the new folder menu, as well as rename and details options.
by the way, you might also be interested in a better media browser than the stock, use quickpic from android market.
also, if you add a blank file (usually a txt file) named .nomedia at the root of a folder which contains some files, the files won't get picked up by the media scanner and stay hidden, but will still be seen by file explorer like My Files.

Can anyone help me to get the files visible with the resources available on android (without an pc) ?

In Files Go ,,,u can access ur storage files like the old" files" application by
1.Go browse section
2.click on the three dots on upper right corner
3.enable storage devices
Or u can download the OFFICIAL NOKIA FILE MANAGER (released for Chinese cell phones) available on APKMIRROR

Problems finding some downloaded files

I'm having a problem finding some files that I download from Google search. If I perform a download of one of these files and try to view it with Root Explorer or other file managers it does not show up in the internal storage Downloads folder. However if I open up the default "Files" application and click the Downloads link (three lines) I can see the files. If, using the same, "Files" application I instead click on "moto x4" and navigate to the downloads folder I can not see the files.
Where is the "Downloads" link in the "Files" application pointing? I've searched both internal and external storage from my PC and I can't find the downloaded file, by name, anywhere. I can copy it using the "Files" app to the internal storage "Downloads" folder but I don't know the location from which I'm copying.
Any help would be lovely. Thank you!

I don't have a Moto but on my phone, the first time you use the application you have to click on the three dot menu, upper right corner, and click "show internal storage".
