Does this have a (multi-color) notification light? - Sony Xperia 10 Questions & Answers

[Edit]: Nevermind, I downloaded the user manual and according to that it has a notification light.
That's pretty much the only info I wasn't able to find anywhere. There are very few sites out there who already have info on that phone and not one mentions this. Sadly all those sites don't mention it for my current phone either so I can't take it as a sign that it doesn't have a notification LED.
So if anybody has had their hands on one of these and could answer it would be highly appreciated.
Thanks!

Of course, like others Xperia devices.
Also it's different from app to another app and in some apps you can choose from many colors ( like WhatsApp and Telegram )

Nice to hear, I didn't know it had one. Mine will arrive in a few days.

It also lights up red, amber or green when charging.

Colors?

Hey everyone, didn't see a thread about this so figured I would ask.... I thought google showcased the color trackball?? I can't even set the breathe light in froyo let alone for stock message app..... Comon GOOGLE!!! I use this feature a lot and know once CM6.0 comes out it will be there but I mean seriously google?
froyo enable the led color. it just that the application have to use it.
it worked for me. but it still white for notification for app in the stock.
guess just seems odd I mean chainsdd wrote the driver forever ago.....Stock message app had the ability to change color on CM5.0.6 so I guess I don't understand how google missed this one...... Cyan will hook us up soon but dam I surely miss my colored trackball

[Q] Notification App [Idea/REQ]

I don't know if this idea has been tossed around or not, but obviously there are people out there like me who miss having an LED or trackball flashing for notifications on the Nexus S. Something I thought would be cool is to somehow have the soft keys at the bottom of the phone flash or light up whenever a SMS, MMS, E-Mail etc. comes to the phone. Does anyone know if this is possible? I'd like to have something like that for this phone. Hell, I'll even provide a generous donation if it really is possible. If it's been done before, let me know. Thanks all.

I'd really suggest trying to use the search function before making threads, mate, 'cause this is about the fifth time someone has asked that. Yes, there's an app that will do that but it requires a some coding in custom kernel that's unavailable right now. Patience.
In the meantime, I suggest you check out NoLED from the market. That app will use your screen with little colored dots/icons showing what kind of notification you've received. Aside from the colored dots, the rest of your screen will be solid black which on SAMOLED consumes almost no power so the impact on battery life is negligible.

I didn't see anything about this particular subject when the Title brought up the results so I figured it hasn't been talked about yet. Furthermore, I'm not that much of a fan of NoLED when I tried it but maybe I'll give it a second go until something else comes about.

App for LED button Notification

Just wanted to post a tips about an app I just found, LG P880 Touch LED Notification available on the Play store. Just installed it on my custom rom (Slimbean) and it got a lot of options (much more than I expected) to
configure how it should blink, sleep cycle and so on. Though this requires ROOT so don't buy if you don't have it.
Just a tip, this is not marketing (So I hope this thread won't be removed).
I see @SimonTS coming along here. Please report, I'm on mobile.

There is a free alternative posted right on this subforum, ill link when im home
Edit:
Actually, here it is: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1821249
Edit2:
They even look the same i think, same options, same logo lol
It is really very interesting

Screen "always on" battery life...

Has anyone tried subj with sideloaded app keeping screen on all the time. (Like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nbondarchuk.android.keepscn ) ?
Would be interesting also to compare mostly black and mostly white watchfaces.
This is something that I really would like so I will try to get this to work on my Gear. I'll report back in a few days.
Thank you for sharing.

I have tried three different versions of these types of apps and none of them worked.
They either wouldn't install at all, or if they did they would immediately close saying "XYZ app has closed unfortunately.
If anybody gets one working correctly, please post the results

Did you make sure to move them over to /system/app?
Its a wishful thinking but Id love to see a MotoX style face for the watch. (Dynamic Notifications App mimics this).
The clockface would always be on and the notifications would only light up those portions of the screen and youd just touch and see what you have waiting.

is anyone successfully using LIGHT FLOW?

i've used this app with every phone i've ever had. I know there is some control built into miui for led notifications but i prefer to use this app. i can't seem to figure out what settings are needed within the app to get it working correctly. anyone figured it out?
I tried but had no luck like yourself, decided to just leave it in the end.
How it's working for me
I know the thread is older, but i had problems as well and found this unsolved thread.
After trying many different settings, I found the option that worked for me:
Long tap on the Light Flow notification and turn on the LED notification. That's it!
