Huawei P30 Pro bluetooth low volume and instagram video quality problem - Huawei P30 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi, I bought my P30 Pro yesterday from an old iphone 6.
I immediately encountered 2 major problems.
The first is that the bluetooth connected to the MMI Audi is much lower than that of the iphone 6.
Is there any app/hack to boost the volume?
Furthermore, the videos recorded and uploaded to instagram are colorless.
I attach 2 examples to help you understand what the problem is.
Original video from device:
dropbox.com/s/ika35wxut8car4l/VID_20190414_191739.mp4?dl=0
Uploaded video on instagram stories (without any filter):
dropbox.com/s/js8kzr67n4o47m2/VID_20190414_205136.mp4?dl=0
I don't want to make a war but my old iphone 6 worth € 100 didn't have these big problems.
Does anyone have solutions about it?

Same problem here, in my P20 the volume is great but not in my p30 pro

external microphone not working

Hello,
I'm a Huawei P9 owner (unbranded, EVA-L09C432B182).
I tried to connect and record a video with an external microphone connected to jack plug but audio is anyway took by built-in microphone.
Headphone icon appear when I connect the external mic, so, I suppose, P9 does not recognize the external mic.
I had got a Xperia Z3 compact that suddenly recognized it once I plug it.
Did anyone try to use an external mic with Huawei P9?
Thanks and regards!
would like to know it too. please kindly help
Ok guys I will test it for you since I have a Sony earphones with inline mic. Give me a second.
So I did some testing and found out that the in-line mic which is on my earphones is used in the voice recording app.
So I can say at least the phone recognises that I am using earphones that has an in-line mic which confirms that it supports and recognises 4 port (if that's the correct term) 3.5mm jacks with in-line mic and volume control.
I will try recording a video with the earphones plugged in a second.
Done testing with the camera app recording a video with microphone. I can confirm that it does not use the in-line microphone and looks like it is setup to not use it when recording videos in the camera app with back camera at least. Have not tested front camera video recording though.
Same problem. More info
Have you found an answer? I have the exact same problem. I tried using SoundAbout app but it doesn't seem to work. Don't know if I'm setting it up wrong or if it just doesn't have enough permissions to manage the Camera app. Other Camera apps are out of the questions because of the dual cameras, so they only use the monochrome.

Huawei P9 external mic issue
Hi Guys,
I just bought a Rode VideoMic Me and wanted to connect it to my phone but its not detected by the phone. After ran a few of test, the mic is not the problem. The root cause for this issue is the software or OS itself. When I pluged the mic, the device will keep select the build in mic as a default. I tried to install and test 2 apps that similar to FilMic Pro (iphone app).
Cinema FV-5
This app really good for videography and the external mic is working but the camera will detect the monochrome lens instead of the RGB lens. How sad.
FilMic Plus
This is a free version of FilMic pro but its doesnt enable the external mic function.
FilMic Pro
This app available for certain android phone only. How sad.
The conclusion that can I make is, to enable the external mic, we need to install 3rd party app which is im still looking for it. Huawei should do something about this.
No external microphone connection with Huawei P10 & P10 Plus
Same pb with both new Huawei P10 and Huawei P10 Plus.
Impossible to connect an external microphone working in video mode (but, surprisingly, it can record sound with the sound app).
Samsung works 100%. LG does too. Nexus doesn't.
I've contacted Huawei France directly, they answer that they don't sell their own external mic (too bad and stupid!), but they neither guarantee that their own devices work with other mic.
Conclusion: do not buy Huawai P10 or P10 Plus if you plan to get a profesional sound quality provided by an external microphone
Unless meanwhile they take care of the pb, either Huawei (selling adequate mic), either app like Filmic Plus or FV5 solve the problem.

Cinema FV-5 Monochrome fix on Honor 6X
Hi, it is a simple fix to change Cinema FV-5 monochrome issue. Go into the setting for the video in the app and change the saturation setting to 100%. Done, you can record with colour!

Huawei y9 prime 2019 microphone and earpiece issue.
Hello guys? I've been using huawei y9 prime 2019 for a year now, it was running on Android 8 then I updated it to 9 then it started having earpiece and microphone problems, I later updated it to 10 but now the problem is now persistent. I've tried different methods like cache clearing, hard resetting, starting in safe mode but the problem only goes away after I restart and then after making one call or two, everything mutes, I can't hear the caller the same to the other end, I put on loudspeaker but I can only hear the other person but they can't hear me. I've ran out of options, anyone who has managed to overcome the problem please help...

This is forum for P9 (device from 2016 with Android 6, 7 and Android 8 released only for Chinese cust), not your y9 (from 2018, newer EMUI/Android firmwares).
Unfortunately, I see that (unlike for the other Huawei/Honor phones), there is no forum on XDA for y9
Not sure how P9 users here can help you.
Besides, there are only three or four still active P9 users here - most the others abandonded the old P9 phones, and rarely anybody comes here, read (and answer) the posts

YouTube stutters while using bluetooth audio

Hi,
I'm currently using my P30 Pro and it seems that there's no way to watch a youtube clip without stuttering. My colleague has got the same problem on his phone.
When using my Bose Soundsport Free , YouTube keeps lagging (only the picture, not the sound). I already tried to reset my phone, delete all data of the app, and changed the codec.
The problem also appears when connecting to my car (youtube stutters). Please note : that was only for testing.
The bose Soundsport free did work without any problems on my Galaxy S9+. I'm also using the newest update.
Does anyone have an idea?
Thanks

I think there was a similar issue with instagram also on the previous build. Are you sure you are on the latest build ?
I updated a few days after the release of the phone to EMU 9.1.0.124.
My colleague's phone was using the previous one.
I'm having same problem with Bluetooth audio streaming, I'm on latest firmware...
Huawei phones are (in)famous for aggressive battery management.
I had the music stuttering issue with MX Player on P20 Pro & it only went away if I suspended power management for the MX Player app.
I have had issues with Bluetooth stuttering as well, on Samsung, Skullcandy & other noname knockoffs, but only in public transport where tons of other bluetooth devices are live in close vicinity.
However, on he recent software version on the P20 Pro & now the P30 Pro, I'm seeing the stutters less & less.
Not a solution for your issue, just my observations.
YMMV
This is happening on my p20 recently and it's super aggravating. It will work if I shut the screen of but if Im trying to watch a video I'm pretty much SOL
Hi I found the solution! Go in developer settings and change your Bluetooth code from AAC to SBS. AAC seems to be cpu intensive, therefore causes choppy video. Good luck!
For those facing this issue on Android TV youtube app, using bluetooth headsets, go to settings -- Device Preferences -- Sound -- Under Digital Audio Format, select Auto...restart.
This solved my issue

Bluetooth audio sync issue

Hi I've noticed some lag between my Bluetooth speaker and the video when trying to watch YouTube or Netflix. Kodi has the option to adjust the audio offset so that's not a problem but I can't seem to find anything like that for the other apps. Is there any fix for this?
Upgraded from a nexus 5x which never had this issue.
On Koodo in Ontario if that makes a difference.
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
I just got my P20 Pro and also having this issue. Very annoying. Had a Mate 9 and never experienced this kind of issues before.
Do you found a fix yet?

Bluetooth audio delay

Hello, I have been intensively googling for the past 2 days but couldn't find any permanent solution to my problem, which is bluetooth audio delay. I own Bose Soundsport Wireless headphones and I have never had a problem with them when it comes to audio delay. I just bought a new P30 pro and while watching videos on youtube or in any video player I get noticeable audio delay. I found people complaining about this issue with other Huawei devices as well. The only solution I found is temporary - in developer settings changing the bluetooth codec from aac to sbc. Sadly, this settings gets reset every time the headphones are connected. For a premium device like p30 pro I would expect much more polished experience. Does anyone know how to solve this?

No delay on youtube after update .178 here.
Dont know what may be your problem.
I don't know either. I am on 185 I received through OTA. Hopefully I won't have to do a factory reset.
Are you on wifi while connected to bluetooth earphones?
Ok, realuzed it's probably related to Dolby Atmos. Turned off fixes the problem. For now.
Edit: Okay, it seems unrelated to Dolby Atmos. Sadly, it's back and I can't figure out why. Strange thing is that it only happens on this phone. I don't have any problems with my old LG G6.
I use my LG for hotspotting currently. While watching a movie broadcasted from Huawei on a TV connected to the same hotspot, there is no delwy whatsoever. I would assume there would be a delay considering the data transfer: From LG to Huawei back to the LG and to the TV. I am wondering if this would be solved by a factory reset. I have already cleared cache and it didn't help.

Bluetooth call quality

Hi All,
I have had my P20 pro for about 18 months or so, and calling using the handsfree in the car (Audi A5) has been excellent, however about 2 months ago i got the Android 9 upgrade and since then all calls made using bluetooth sound distorted, like a robot/Dalek. I am guessing that something in the Android 9 update doesnt agree with the bluetooth on the P20 pro, but has anyone else had this issue? If so, is there any way to solve it or am I stuck to speaking to Davros for ever?
Cheers
