1) Please do not use TiB. If you want use then try Swift Backup or Migrate. These are better options for now.
2) Please Use Paid Themes preferably, so that Substratum Dev can keep on their good work.
3) If you want to try a new theme, try "Valerie" by bro @@DeadmanxXD. It's been my favorite ever since I tried it.

Everywhere, and always...."Taobao doesn't work" :silly:

Full featured Rom and lots of customizations.

My favourite ROM so far - the 'black & yellow' theme is amazing.
Nearly everything works for me except:
-safetynet won't pass
-HDMI causes reboots

No, permissive

So I've been messing with this for a while now. I haven't rooted / flashed since I left the Nexus line back with the 6p. I'm seeing a screen before on boot that I've never seen before. It states "Your device is corrupted and can't be trusted to work properly. Press Power button to continue"
I hit the Power button and it boots into this ROM though.
It's a completely different boot screen than the "unlocked bootloader" one I'm used to seeing.
Any ideas?

No sir. I get the "power to pause the boot" screen and THEN another screen telling me the device is corrupted. I get the unlocked bootloader screen, that I'm familiar with. There is a screen following the unlocked bootloader message telling me that the device is corrupted and can't be trusted.
I've downloaded the factory images, ran the flashall.bat now it's in a bootloop. I get the unlock bootloader warning message then the corrupt message, phone reboots, essential logo comes up... rinse and repeat.
Ran Flashall.bat again and paid attention to the output... it seems to fail on slot "b":

Well, I've followed the instructions precisely to no avail. I'm stuck in bootloop hell. The file you linked eventually got rid of the "watching" but, again, just bootloop after bootloop. I got this ROM to boot only once and that was without installing the GApps. Once GApps was flashed, I got caught in a bootloop. This device is ARM64, right? I'm not doing anything super stupid and flashing ARM64 Gapps onto a regular ARM device?
I've had to flash over the boot_fix.img with TWRP again just to get into Recovery to stop the endless bootlooping. Round and round we go.

Ahh, I had the same thing happen also. From twrp flash the boot fix img and then twrp. Then, reboot to system, it will then bootloop and eventually you'll be booted back to twrp. Let it bootloop! Once that's finished flash a room or whatever and the twrp installer. ?
Remember, let it bootloop, it will take some time.:good:

How to install first time
* First of all, make a complete backup of all your photos and internal data in the computer, since the first installation requires to eliminate ALL the sdcard content, given the encryption of Android Nougat and later; the one that warns you is not a traitor, you are going to lose all the data (just as it happens if you install other ROMS). This is due to (in turn) that if we have not formatted the sdcard, it will not boot for security protection data of the cited encryption,
* With TWRP Recovery (read tutorials on how to install it) we will make another backup, but this time System, Data, Cache, Boot, and especially the EFS (important).
* Download the ZIP flasheable and pass it to the internal memory of the phone (no matter if we have already formatted it or not).
* Restart on TWRP recovery
* Make Wipes: System, Data, Dalvik, Cache.
* Install from Recovery the EpicROM ZIP flasheable and wait for it to appear okay (If you get error 7 the TWRP in the step of "formating system / extracting system", restart in recovery immediately, and reinstall it, this is due that in Nougat you must re-generate the system partition for encryption topics, so it will install you, it should work like the rest of us )
* We reboot in fastboot mode once the rom has been installed correctly. To do this, we can do it from TWRP in REBOOT / Fastboot or by holding down the power button and the volume down button until FASTBOOT and Mitu appear by soldering an Android robot. In this step, we connect the mobile to the computer, and in the same folder that can be downloaded from en.miui.com/unlock (to unblock the bootloader) click inside that folder in a blank space in the right mouse click while holding the SHIFT key on the keyboard; a window will appear and the "open command window" option should appear. We tapped on that window. When it opens, if you open powershell (blue screen) from windows 10, type cmd and press enter. If you open the classic cmd of all life (BLACK SCREEN) we are already where we want.
* Type in the cmd (be powershell or cmd) fastboot format userdata and press enter. There will be formatted all our mobile, and restarting it will work everything.
* Restart normally and configure. Remember that the first start takes a little longer, from there, it will always light fast. In the following versions, it will NOT BE MISSING to do all this, just install without wipes and to run. I already adapt it so that I clean what I have to clean with each update EXCEPT that I expressly say something else in that UPDATE.
* Enjoy (and re-pass all data previously backed up to the internal memory).
How to install UPDATE from Epic ROM 7.X.XX
Download Epic OTA with OTA app from Settings (No MIUI Updater, use EPIC OTA!)
You can also download update manually from en.miui forum or htcmania spanish forum
Install update from Epic OTA or from TWRP Recovery manually
You don't need to wipe anything if we don't say it on update! If you have to do some special, we will let you know
Reboot
Enjoy

Got error 7 many times. I cant fix It.

Not booting at all. 30 min and still bootanimation. I have followed the instructions to the letter and nothing changes. Tried it thrice.
A video tutorial would be nice, I might be doing something wrong. Also I'm on official TWRP, IDK if that makes a difference.

Actually the recovery does not matter. I used official TWRP recovery and got it to work.
It's juts the flashing guide that misguided (lol) me.
Coming from global/official/beta or any other ROMS you HAVE TO WIPE USER DATA.
Also going back to global/official/beta ROMS you HAVE TO WIPE USER DATA.
Otherwise the guide is okay, if this could be pinned or added together with the other *NOTES it would be superb.

Yes, everything is lost from phone.
Copy internal storage, or important data (in internal) to computer.
I have not tested otg since I don't have a type-c otg nor do I have a converter to type-c.
Sideloading works. (I use this a lot)
Also you could just enable mtp and copy .zip to storage.
Not booting stays at EpicROM logo :/
Trying With officeial TWRP, With Cofface, formated all partitions :/ No error 7 while falshing all process went well.
Hmmm What am I doing wronge here :/

This is a continuation of the work by Shakalaca. Currently not much will be different. It does have however the latest security Patches. I will be splitting my time between CM 14.1 and Lineage 15. If you have questions please ask. The Z017 should work with both versions, I am running the Z012(KE552KL) and it seems okay.

Can you insert ViperOS / ResurrectionRemix functions? How to lock the power menu and block fast access, both with the screen locked? This helps a lot when the cell phone is lost or stolen.

I would like to keep this rom as stick as possible. I am open to Updating the existing ViperOS Rom for this device. I am one person so it might be difficult for me to support too many roms especially considering my personal desire to see oreo on this device. I will take a look @ Viper and see what I can do.

Hi!
This will solve your problem.:
1- Open the ROM with Winrar;
2- Go to: META-INF -> com -> google -> android;
3- Run the "updater-script" file with Notepad ++;
4- Delete the first 1 line, save and update the file in ROM;
Update your TWRP from main Zenfone 3 folder: https://mega.nz/#F!kl8lmKRL!ZbLvz1b4YgLMr_n09vRrTA (twrp-3.1.1-0-Z017-20170826.img)

Thanks. I have installed successfully.
We have to remove 2 BELOW RED LINE, NOT FIRST 1 LINE:
run_program("/tmp/install/bin/otasigcheck.sh") != "31744" || abort("Can't install this package on top of incompatible data. Please try another package or run a factory reset");
else
mount("ext4", "EMMC", "/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/userdata", "/data", "");
package_extract_file("META-INF/org/lineageos/releasekey", "/tmp/releasekey");
run_program("/tmp/install/bin/otasigcheck.sh") != "31744" || abort("Can't install this package on top of incompatible data. Please try another package or run a factory reset");
The first line will check for products, I saw that line already included Z017 and Z012, it's not a problem.

Battery Issues
Hi, I am having a lot of battery drain from LineageOS. "LineageOS System" is taking 27% and "Android OS" is taking up 24%. I have battery optimization on for everything possible, and I have battery saving kick in at 25%. My location services are on battery saving, and Bluetooth and WiFi are off. I probably have a screen on time for 1 to 2 hours, so I should end the day with a lot more than I have. Also, double tap to wake isn't working for me as well.
So far everything seems pretty great. Had a couple force close issues. The camera certainly doesn't support 60FPS recording on 1080p yet. But i am working on that part of the code. Otherwise there seems to be few, if any, issues. High five! :good:

I am running it on a test device and and looking at the battery life. I'll leave it on tonight also to see how it does. I don't think this version has doubletap to wake. I know there is double tap on statusbar for sleep.
I added an issue here for tracking: https://github.com/LineageOS-Zenfone3/android_device_asus_Z017/issues/2

It should work on all sofia and rav variants, but is based on the same device trees as los/pe, so if those didnt work for you, this probably wont either.
Works flawlessly until now, I was on omnirom and decided to change to this one and I can't be more happier.. (sorry for the English folks).
Just switched to this ROM, and I'm glad it retains the moto gestures(like OmniROM), but double tap to wake ambient display seems to not work on both OmniROM and this one. Is anyone using this ROM able to use it? Thanks.

The ROM has the Moto audio app, so it should be totally fine. It does seem to turn off intermittently, but I had those issues in omniROM as well.
Vibration/Haptic fixed kernel. Flash in fastboot:
Code:
fastboot flash boot <filename.img>
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1I9gK9qxJJAy5R2cqH7tRZM9OCYE65mmB/view?usp=sharing
Does 90hz really work and is the rom stable enough for a daily driver?

To Install:
1. Extract the zip and open a shell with ADB and fastboot.
2. Reboot your device into fastbootd mode.
Code:
fastboot reboot fastboot
3. Flash boot, system, product, and vbmeta.
Code:
fastboot set_active a
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash product product.img
fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
OPTIONAL: fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
4. Wipe userdata.
Code:
fastboot -w
INITIAL BUILD: Then boot the phone to the homescreen. If you want to install GAPPS or magisk, power off and enter twrp (if you installed it, otherwise you can boot twrp temporarily), flash gapps and magisk, and reboot.
20-9-20 BUILD: Then boot the phone to the homescreen. If you want to install magisk, power off and enter twrp (if you installed it, otherwise you can boot twrp temporarily), flash magisk, and reboot.
If you have the Moto G8/G Fast and your display cutout is not right, enable your overlay like so:
Code:
adb shell cmd overlay enable org.omnirom.overlay.moto.rav

Figured out fastboot and getting it working. Now flashing the rom and the command fastboot flash system system.img fails. "Resizing 'system_a' FAILED (remote: '') fastboot: error: Command failed"
Anyone experienced this?

Where did you see 90hz mentioned mate? In the first post there is mention of supporting screen refresh rates, not changing them from what i can see.
And its stable as all hell for me on the regular g8, just the bugs mentioned at the bottom of the first post.
i use g8 power XT2041-3, i follow all instruction but can't boot, stock on bootloader. can i flash it with twrp?
hi, this rom works in XT2041-1??
Have OTG active?

So, don't boot?
Hi there, the touchscreen is not working for me on XT2041-4 after flashing. Is anyone else having the same problem? The flashing process went smoothly, but I did get an error message:

Development [ROM] LiteE RN10S Global 1.2

Hey guys, i present you one of my biggest projects so far:
LiteE RN10S Global!!!
This is probably the first MIUI mod for this device, althought it might not be the FIRST ROM, it's the FIRST MIUI MOD without that oversharpening effect. Keeping color schemes and everything working!
FEATURES:
Heavily Debloated
MIUI Dialer, contacts and messages (still uses google dialer for calling)
Removed a ton of tracers
Bootanimation from MIUI 12.5
Uses the chinese variant of Security Center and Miui Gallery
Mi Wallpaper with super wallpaper options
Voice Changer
Chinese Alpha Launcher
High-end icon animations
Genom Kernel by rama982 (on telegram)
and most importantly:
NO OVERSHARPENING!!! (don't worry i didn't delete PQ)
BUGS:
Mirror app doesn't work.
You tell me.
FIXES:
Reverted the MiuiAod for more stability
Added the Backup app back
Added the Mi Sound app back.
NOTES:
First boot may be laggy, don't worry, just set it up, and reboot.
CREDITS:

rama982 (on tg), for genom kernel.
@el0xren, for telling me about the app permissions.
And everyone else.
DOWNLOAD LINK:

Others will come soon.
KERNEL SOURCE: Here
ok but, how do we flash it?
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Unlocked bootloader.
2. Fastboot Drivers.
3. A brain.
Step by step:
1. Download the ROM, after it's done, extract it.
2. Rename the folder "LiteE". Nothing else.
3. Put your phone into fastboot mode, and execute the .sh (if you're on linux) or .bat (if you're on windows).
4. Wait until it finishes flashing, it will automatically reboot and close.
5. You're done!
ESPERIMENTAL:
There might be a way to flash this Mod without losing data. However this is not tested.
You need to already have MIUI Global 12.5.14 installed.
1. Same steps from before, but this time, execute the "flasher_no_userdata_md_udc" file.

Can this work as a daily driver ROM? If anyone can post screenshots?
I had lost all hopes and already was planning to sell my 4 month old note10s.
If this can work as a daily driver ROM, I would keep the otherwise awesome device.

In this rom i am randomly get a "green screen" when held the phone. Only reboot can resolve this. I think a custom kernel do this. And don't work stock miui phone with call recorder, only Google phone and so. No perfect for me.

yes yes, i already know about that green screen problem. The reason this happens is because of the custom MiuiAod. I will revert this in the next build.

I keep getting error 7 / status 1 after the sideload.
How does one update the full system to android 11, like MSM tool or equivelant? Or is this only possible as OTA?
EDIT: @kronflux
Just wanted to mention that I did start from a clean flash (MSM Tool - but of course that is android 10), and subsequently re-unlocked the bootloader, but still no dice. I know I'm missing something I just can't figure what.
Usually I would upgrade to the same android version as the custom os (11 in this case) and I did try that once as well, and it still didn't work.
What is the legit way to update both slots to a new stock OS so that users can flash an upgraded custom OS?
I am still reading everything I can in this device forum, trying to figure out what I missed.
I finally managed to get this ROM flashed. Seems that, at least in my case, the ROM flash doesn't cause the slot to be switched after reboot. I need to basically do this:
(optional) - Boot to opposite desired slot.
Flash Recovery
Boot to recovery
Factory Reset
Flash Rom (sideload)
Reboot to bootloader
change slots
Reboot to bootloader again (ensure slot change)
(optional) Flash Recovery to new/current slot
(optional) Then Flash GApps (if allowed for the ROM, not this one as GApps are included)
Boot ROM from bootloader
This manual slot change is not something I see from any of the instructions on this entire device sub forum, even for other posted/supported ROMs. I know that usually the slot change is automatic, but in my case for some reason it is not.
Move...
I asked if this can be flashed over the earlier beta as-is ?
I did so earlier with the beta using TWRP, but it was originally installed on A10.
I don't have any issues with sideloading any rom but this one i keep getting "adb: failed to read line: no error"

Slot logic, I guess.
It was b slot on the old roms because we started out on A as the active partition, so maybe we just have to switch to the inactive slot when flashing.
Realized this a couple nights ago, but my device went into kernel panic anyway so I couldn't really verify.
Thank you.

No, this has to be installed over A11.
This rom depends on the updated kernel, so flashing over a new version of the ROM won't just work.

I downloaded too much adb, I changed the version, it didn't work no matter what I did. Qualcomm went all the way to crushdumb mode.
The operation was not successful. I am using Android 11.
My device Oneplus n10 5G BE86AA
I tried 10-15 times but all failed. I would really appreciate it if anyone can help me out and have had this problem.
I'm using google translate, it may be misspelling.
For everyonw that have problems by sideloading. I recommend to use exactly the recovery they provide there, don't even thing using twrp or orange fox, because those sideload are just broken.
also, the standard fastboot drivers include x86 adb, that would not work correctly always.

download this, and use adb sideload rom.zip exactly with those tools. for me, it was the single thing that did worked.
Later Edit: needed to change the A/B Slot
# boot the phone into fastboot either if in the bootloader
#
sudo fastboot reboot fastboot
#
# or if the phone is booteind into the recovery or in the normal mode
#
adb reboot fastboot
# wait until the phone is booted in fastboot mode
# get the current slot
#
sudo fastboot getvar current-slot
# change the current slot
#
sudo fastboot set_active b
# check the result
#
sudo fastboot getvar current-slot
# reboot the phone from new current-slot
#
sudo fastboot reboot

For everyonw that have problems by sideloading. I recommend to use exactly the recovery they provide there, don't even thing using twrp or orange fox, because those sideload are just broken.
also, the standard fastboot drivers include x86 adb, that would not work correctly always.

download this, and use adb sideload rom.zip exactly with those tools. for me, it was the single thing that did worked.
Later Edit: needed to change the A/B Slot
# boot the phone into fastboot either if in the bootloader
#
sudo fastboot reboot fastboot
#
# or if the phone is booteind into the recovery or in the normal mode
#
adb reboot fastboot
# wait until the phone is booted in fastboot mode
# get the current slot
#
sudo fastboot getvar current-slot
# change the current slot
#
sudo fastboot set_active b
# check the result
#
sudo fastboot getvar current-slot
# reboot the phone from new current-slot
#
sudo fastboot reboot

Well, most people are using gsi Roms on this phone. I am running Crdoid android 13 April 2023 build and security patch on my nord n10 5g with magisk and 5 volte/vo5g both working
Im quite liking this rom, but i keep getting a QUALCOMM CrashDump Mode a bit after plugging it in to charge at night... it sticks in this mode until i hard reset, then its fine. The lack of auto-reboot really sucks since i cant trust this phone as an alarm right now.
Also, this doesnt happen every time i plug it in... seems to be about every other night so far, might be related to how low the battery gets, not sure.
Running this on a BE2026 model on Cricket (ATT network), also have done some customization installing magisk and a few modules... im pretty sure the first crash was before i had all the modules installed, but ill be trying to disable some of them and see if it helps at all. its hard to test something when there's not an easy way to trigger it...
There is an error included too, been trying to decrypt it but not having a lot of luck:
Code:
EX:kernel:0x0:SNS_SEE_P_1:0x1000000e:PC=0xf02baadc:LR=0xf0215f78
subsys_err_fatal_intr_handlersubsys-restart: Resetting the SoC - adsp crashed.
subsys_unregister
Another SERIOUS issue I discovered today - I cant disable wireless emergency alerts. The settings app will crash when I try to open the settings for it, and trying to get to it from the messages app does nothing. It seems there's no way to turn off these ridiculously loud amber alterts.

Hi!
In the CrDroid GSI, Did you experience any sort of bugs regarding calling?
I've also experience some bugs/quirks like the "high pitched voice" while calling someone through Internet apps like Signal/WhatsApp/Anyotherapp.
