[Q]Stuck in fastboot mode - Nubia Red Magic 3 Questions & Answers

After i i flash custom rom the i cant turn on the wifi so i decided to reset factory of my red magic 3 but after a rest i got stuck in FASTBOOT MODE no matter what i choice from reboot from recovery mode or reboot from system it will just restart and back again to FASTBOOT MODE can some one help me please is this permanent brick?

oh boii, same happens to me, that was a pain but after relax and think what i can do, was so easy to fix, you will need an cable USB C to USB Adapter like this: https://www.amazon.com/Syntech-Adap...o+USB+3.0&qid=1559945169&s=electronics&sr=1-8
then u need a flashdrive, download the official rom here: https://eu.redmagic.gg/blogs/news/red-magic-3-global-rom-flash-instructions
after downloading it, connect the flashdrive to your computer and enter the rom in here, then connect the flashdrive to the usb cable adapter and then you need to connect it to your phone, put your phone in recovery mode (hold vol up + power) and select your language and select "Choose Update Package" and select "Choose From OTG Device" and here you just will need select the rom that you downloaded and put in the flashdrive, idk if there is an easy way to do this but this was the only way that I found and it worked, also this method will lock your bootloader, I hope you can fix it, sorry for my bad english

This will work 100%, but about the usb 3.0 or 2.0 I'm not sure, this phone support 3.0 usb, if you have an adapte 2.0 you can try it, if you will buy one is better to buy 3.0 one

you have to connect your phone using any USB cable to your pc
make sure you have installed usb drives you find it on the ADB folder
first go to fastboot mode and then in your pc go to devices manager and update android bootloader interface, and thats it
open cmd and type , fastboot devices and you find your device serial and your good to go
first you have to unlock your bootloader to flash the recovery
and then type fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
and then fastboot reboot
thats it you will be able to access recovery mode and install the update using a usb flash

[Q] Htc One BRICKED.

After only four day of having this phone i managed to brick it. I would really like to know if its fixable or if i have a really nice paper weight. Im stuck on a boot loop, I was half way through flashing a rom when it suddenly shut off. Now it will not boot up. I can load into the bootlader but when i try to go into recovery it just sends me to fastboot. When i restart the phone i can see the old recovery (TWRP)for just an instant but then the screen goes completely black. If i plug in to my pc, nothing happens my computer detects it but it says y device is damaged nd it cant identify it. PLEASE HELP Am i out of luck?
Ive looked around but i couldnt seem to find anyone with the same problem as me (Sprint Variant)
Good news it's not bricked i would put this question on the rom thread someonethere sshould be able to help
There's a Sprint One forum as well, so hopefully you found a ROM on there!

I really hope so because on a college budget i cant afford another phone D:
Seen this in a couple of other places. Seems certain recoveries are possibly becoming currupted during flashing a new ROM.
What you need to do it get back into fastbboot, and....
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot erase cache
the re-flash your recovery, boot into recovery, full wipe and reflash your ROM.

Your phone isn't bricked. There are two tools in this forum that can help you. One is made by hasoon2000(I think that's his user name), and the other is jwtool(I think). Use them to help to flash a recovery if you don't know how to use fastboot.

Edit: Just got done typing the stuff below and saw you can't connect to your device in fastboot? What do you mean by re-installed driver?
Don’t worry, as long as you can still get into hboot your phone is not completely bricked!
The fastboot commands I referred to need to be carried out on your laptop/pc when you phone is connected in fastboot.
Can I assume that as you have already unlocked bootloader and flashed a custom recovery you are already familiar with this and have your computer set up for fastboot commands?
(Apologies if you already know some of this, best not to skip parts out though!)
I’d start with downloading a fresh version of your chosen recovery, and place it in your fastboot directory ready. I’d also do the same with your ROM.
Like you have already done, boot into fastboot. Connect your phone to your pc, and the red text should change to ‘Fastboot USB’.
Then open up command prompt and get to your fastboot directory. (On Windows 7 you just find that folder in Explorer, hold shift and right-click, then choose ‘Open command window here’.)
To check your pc is talking to your phone, type ‘fastboot devices’. You should get a device serial number back if all is well.
Then type ‘fastboot erase cache’ and hit enter.
Then type ‘fastboot erase recovery’ and hit enter.
Then type ‘fastboot flash recovery [name of recovery].img’ and hit enter.
Then type ‘fastboot reboot recovery’ and hit enter.
Hope fully you should successfully boot into recovery now. Once in recovery, mount USB storage and copy over your fresh ROM. Choose to do a full wipe including cache and dalvik, then reflash your ROM.
Reboot.
Let me know how this goes.

I used the hasoon2000 to flash TWRP earlier, but my problems is that my pc wont recognize my phone. When i plug it in it and try to re-flash it it cant find it. When i check my devices it shows up as an android device but it says the drivers are damaged. if i could get it to read it i think i should be eable to reflash somethint.
I APPRICIATE ALL THIS HELP. i really am trying to be as specific as possible :fingers-crossed:
Hey so just a thought and experience I have had with all my HTC phones is when you see that quick glimpse of the TWRP recovery screen then it disappears to an empty black screen......you are sometimes still in a form of recovery but during your Rom flash something (i don't know for sure) changed and it doesn't show the screen only black. So with that long explanation out of the way....have you tried once the screen goes black the
"adb devices "
Mine whenever in this situation would return the output of serial number and recovery so then you can push or sideload the Rom and boot into the system at which point your fastboot drivers will finally be recogniZed.....
Hope this helps a little

I'd say the next step is to re-install your drivers in the SDK. Open up your Android SDK and reinstall them. In Windows Device Manager, find your connected device (probably now with an exclamation mark on it) and right click on it and select 'Update Driver'.
(Assuming you are using Windows 7 here?)

(Win8 but the procces is identical.) All my drivers are up to date. Still no love.
On the dev forum is a thread that includes all the latest drivers (including an app to remove older drivers.)
Find that thread, download the drivers and bmp and driver removal tool. Remove drivers with tool, install the new drivers, reboot, connect phone and see if 'adb devices' finds anything.
Also make sure you're using the latest adb.

Bricked HTC One(writed recovery to boot partition)

Hello dear guru's =)
I have an HTC One international. Today i try to get root access and install custom recovery, whent i flash recovery i missed that chose a boot partition to install it. Now phone boots only into recovery, and from my PC, adb or fastboot don see it, but in usb devices its present.
Im on linux Ubuntu 13.04.
In phone dont have any backup.

When i chose from CWM recovery menu "Reboot recovery", phone boot into download mode, and thats all. Fastboot or adb dont see it.
But. In usb device list:
In download mode:
Bus 002 Device 061: ID 0bb4:0ff9 HTC (High Tech Computer Corp.) Desire / Desire HD / Hero / Thunderbolt (Charge Mode)
In recovery mode:
Bus 002 Device 063: ID 0bb4:0f91 HTC (High Tech Computer Corp.)
Assuming you didn't corrupt your boot loader you should be able to get at the boot loader and use fastboot to flash a new recovery.
Power the device off
Hold power and volume down, the phone should turn on and load into the boot loader.
From there you can select fastboot (navigate menu with volumn buttons, power button to select fastboot).
You can use this command to flash a recovery:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
If you can enter bootloader, you may try formatting partitions from fastboot, and flashing them afterwards, that is if bootloader is unlocked.
You can also lock your bootloader and try installing RUU,it will put your phone back to stock,
P.S. - I'm new to this,so please consult with more experienced members, before doing anything

"screen with a phone icon and a green image like i can connect via usb or something, but then it turns red after about 30 seconds" -> that's stock recovery
Before, when you are in bootloader (image attached), are you able to "fastboot devices" and it shows up? because the bootloader is not affected by the recovery.
basically "fastboot flash boot recovery.img" put the custom recovery where the kernel is supposed to be.
First thing you need to get/confirm working is bootloader/fastboot.

In cwm adb will work.
So i think you have some issue with drivers.
And, however, if you turn off the phone, you can't access in bootloader with a longpress of power and vol-?
Hey, so I'm the one who had this same situation. What I had to do from what I recall is go to CWM screen, cleared the cache, even in advanced the davlik cache, then I believe (and you might have to try different combinations of this, because I don't 100% remember as I had before tried so many different ways) I unmounted the system mount, then went to reboot from the first screen to get to the bootloader (hold power button and volume down). After this, I clicked on Fastboot and it then went to Fastboot USB. This is where you should be able to connect. Don't leave this screen until you flash the recovery in the right place and then properly install the ROM. Let me know if you get to at least connecting and I can even send over an image for your boot, so you can at least get your phone back.
It can be done, I had the same situation so your phone is not bricked. Just keep working at it.

If you do force update and insert the USB cable while recovery is loading, the phone will accept ADB, and you can use
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
and then use flashtool to flash system images or flash CWM recovery.

Can you boot into your phone? If not, wait at least 10 min or so. Then you will be prommoted to something like "BOOT FAILED". From there, you have to hold down volume down for 6 sec (I think). Now you've entered fastboot mode. Finally, you can access your phone through PC. This worked for me though!
Thanks man

I'd recommend you to turn off your device and flash ZUI via QFIL. Then unlock bootloader and flash TWRP and whatever ROM you want.
ZUI 2.1.049 QFIL
Bootloader unlock on zui

Create a folder and insert a twrp file (for example twrp.img). Then type fastboot boot TWRP.img . If it allows you to do that then you'll get into TWRP. This will probably won't work, so I think the only thing is left is to repair that power button to make an installation via QFIL.

Can I please get some help I think I might of bricked my phone

So using a root app disabler I disabled "telephony service" and when I restarted it shutdown immediately, on the newest WW rom it doesnt have a recovery so I cant go in there and wipe to factory reset. Right now I'm getting slot_b is unbootable. My computer recognizes the phone as "Android Bootloader Interface" but when I run "adb devices" it doesnt show up and I cant run fastboot commands even though I'm plugged into the side usb port. Please help me.

Was the boot img rooted, is that why you have no recovery? If so, just boot to fastboot mode and flash stock boot instead of root, that should have recovery

Download the Full Rom
Extract it
Use the exe file to install with bootloader screen
Ok that was able to get me back to recovery, I tried to wipe and then boot into android, didn't work got the "your device is corrupt and cannot be trusted and will not boot". Still isn't recognized in adb devices so I don't know how I would proceed from here. My device is the Tencent Edition if that helps with raw firmware/rom.
P.S Thank you guys so much for your help I really appreciate it.

But you get fastboot mode, just plug the USB in side port and flash latest raw WW Rom.
Here's the link to 1908.21

Once in fastboot mode (the first menu you see, before selecting recovery, start, power off etc is fastboot mode) check your device is recognised with fastboot devices cmd and then run flashall_AFT.cmd that'll get back your working rom . But also, delete or move the original zip from that same extracted folder, the raw rom with the same name confuses the flashall_AFT.cmd
So I flash the most recent firmware you linked and double checked in recovery that it was pushed to the device and it was, but when I try to boot into android I get the asus logo for a second and then it restarts and it will give me a screen that says "Your device is corrupt. It cant be trusted and will not boot" and then has a link to google support .

Did you let the raw rom flash entirely? It should take a minimum of 10 minutes... The phone should reboot twice (I think) as it completes... Maybe try again, but I'm not familiar with that message...
If the phone doesn't reboot, I would let it run for a half hour or so before rebooting...
There we go, I got it to work man, I was just being impatient with the firmware flash but now I got it to work I appreciate your help and patience so much let me got through and thank your comments and then you can flag a mod to take down this thread. Thank you
