Here’s how Lollipop 5.0.2 looks on the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and 10.5
SamMobile has obtained a working build of the software which showcases the somewhat subtle changes that have been made. Take a look, and be sure to admire the awesome background setup:
As mentioned in the video, the changes are somewhat minimal, with the animations receiving a slight alteration, and various toggles (such as the volume slider) adopting the Lollipop look. Multi-user support has been added directly to the drop-down notification shade. Additionally the carousal recent apps list can be seen as well as lock screen notification cards.

How To Root Android Lollipop 5.0.2 With TWRP Recovery Or CFAUTO-ROOT!

Note: This trips knox as always.
This has been tested and working fine on my SM-T800 (DUHAsianSKILLZ) and other devices that people confired. I'm not responsible for any bricks btw. Twrp Method:
1. Download the twrp.tar on your pc and supersu.zip on your device. Also, download odin on your pc
2. Open odin on your pc.
3. Put device into download mode by turning off the tab s first. Then hold power,home, volume down button all at the same time till download mode comes up.
4. Hit volume up to continue
5. Connect tablet to pc.
6. Hit the ap or PDA button in odin.
7. Select the recovery tar.
8. Untick auto reboot in odin
9. Hit start
10. Now force reboot by holding power,home, volume up and down buttons at the same time till it reboots.
11. Power device off again.
12. Reboot into recovery by holding power,home, volume up buttons all at the same time till twrp pops up.
13. Hit install button in twrp.
14. Select the supersu zip you downloaded.
15. Swipe to install and reboot.
Done!

- (USB) Connect the phone to your computer
- Make sure Repartition is NOT checked

NOTE: Sometimes the device does *not* boot into recovery mode and root your device. Just do the entire procedure again if this happens. If it still will not install root and such, make sure that in Odin "Auto Reboot" is not checked. Then after flashing, manually shutdown your device and boot with VolUp+Home+Power button to boot into recovery manually. This will start the install process.
New to Samsung? Unfamiliar with Odin? Think all the above is a hassle? Get used to it. It's very simple, and us Samsung folk use Odin (or Mobile ODIN ) for everything! It's so very very convenient once you get used to it. Notice the 30 second comment above? For experienced users, the entire process indeed takes only 30 seconds!
Flashing with Odin
1. Put your phone into download mode. To do this turn the phone off and then press volume down+home button+power button at the same time. You will then get a warning saying press up to continue and down to cancel, press volume up and you are now in download mode
2. Start Odin
3.At this point please make sure that ONLY TWO OPTIONS TICKED are "Auto Reboot" and "F.Reset Time" (otherwise you could end up with a very expensive paperweight)
4. If there was only one tar file when you extracted the firmware put it in the PDA section.This just means this file contains the PDA+PHONE+CSC all in one firmware
If there are three files they should have one of PDA/PHONE/CSC in their names look for this and put them in the corresponding section.
5. Plug your device into the computer, wait for the drivers to install and then wait for the ID:COM section to turn blue.
6.ONCE AGAIN CHECK YOU HAVE NOT TICKED RE-PARTITION OR PUT IN A PIT FILE
7.Press start and the flash will begin, once this has started do not remove the usb cable or turn of your computer or the device the phone will reboot once the flash has finished.

Installing Lollipop Firmware
Instructions:
Flash it at your own risk, I'm not responsible for any damaged device!
1. Download the needed firmware from above.
2. Download Odin_3.10.0 from the attached file below
3. Open Odin, select AP and than select your firmware.
4. Make sure you have installed all samsung drivers
5. Shut down your Tab S.
6. Open download mode by holding volume down, home button and power button.
7. Connect it to your PC.
8. LEAVE EVERY THING AS IT IS IN ODIN, OTHERWISE THERE WILL BE A CATASTROPHE (If you select something wrong.)
9. When your tablet is connected, there will be a blue box in odin.
10. Hit start and wait
11. It will reboot and you will get the latest firmware from samsung.

so personally I think a bit of a joke - I have 2 Samsung devices (other is a Note 3) - and I'm not certain my next Android devices will be Samsungs even though hardware wise they are both fantastic

Hopefully this delay means that Samsung are seriously tweaking their Touchwiz UI for our Tab S's. Might be similar to the yet to be seen Galaxy S6 UI.

Samsung updates have always been full of bugs, for some it will work smooth and for some it will not work.
updated my 910F (note 4) to lollipop and it works nice, battery life is as good or better then before.
will be the same with tab s. not everyone will be happy.
but atleast TW will lagg a bit less for those who is lucky enough to not have their tablet bug out.

Compared to Google's own releases? Not really. My Nexus 7 2012 and 2013 had basically no update that wasn't full of bugs compared to the ones for my Samsung devices (S1, S3, S4 and Tab S). Google even managed to break Bluetooth (Stereo) Audio completely for a few weeks (IIRC that was 4.2 or 4.1) because that function is apparently not important enough to test after you change to Bluetooth stack! The Google provided updates for my Moto 360 also had embarrassing bugs (different language related ui misalignment on two releases in a row).
Samsungs firmware might be slow as fck, but isn't overly buggy in my experience.
The Pain
You cannot contemplate the pain of using TW on my T750. If anyone develops custom CM12 versions/ stock Lollipop, I offer design services for marketing and hosting on my personal website for FREE.:crying:

Well after watching that vid i'm no longer excited about lollipop everything looks way too much the same. Very subtle differences, though it did seem to be a little bit smoother. We shall see I guess.
Hi guys, a new Oreo firmware was released for the N950F under build N950FXXU3CRC7.
Is there a way to find a change log for this. Unsure if worth updating from CRC1 which is a custom rom. Whereas the new firmware build on stock could be better.

Me too. Very curious.
There's a feature on Oreo that when you dismiss a notification it clears the app badge on launcher (even if you didn't read it), i've read somewhere that the last S9 update reverted this situation.
Does anyone know if crc7 reverted this ituation as well for note 8 as it's keeping me on Nougat although i really wanted to do the update.

I'm not seeing new/second Oreo release for XEF or multi/OXM. What country & is it a first or second release? Sounds like it just may be a carrier specific 1st time Oreo release.
