did it work? I'm actually planning to flash this kdz to my AT&T LG V40

update
no you need the dll file it locks your phone, it wont work on sprint no more, so big headache to flash the file. but yes it does flash it. But don't do it if you want to use your phone on sprint lol it will be locked and no longer have sprint unlocked for sprint.

I had Vlad flash my Sprint V40 and it appears as US Cellular and not Unlocked version on my phone.
And it works fine on the Sprint network. I just need to update it with the up to date Security Patch.

He didn't edit the build prop lol. Look at the build JDQ39B belongs to the LG G2 i believe. The build for the LS995 is KOT49.ILS995ZV* (whatever you're on) i recognized this right of the bat! In other words he isn't running a stock LS995 firmware, he is running a custom rom, ported from a G2 and happend to have the sticker lying around.
any work around to make LG G Flex work outside US on other network, please reply, ported ROM as mentioned in this topic link to ROM, etc. whatever guide will be appreciated waiting, and i have tried build.prop editing it did not work, also tried replacing folders in carrier and apn.config, anything related to making it working please reply

LMY47Z - International

Hello Guys,
I'm firmware addicted and i have a Nexus 6 in Europe (Origin: Denmark). I see that Google has released LMY47Z & LYZ28E. However i have read that i can flash LMY47Z on my International Nexus 6, and i would like to know if that is correct? Because Google says "LMY47Z For Sprint, USC ONLY" and i think this is not correct for my phone? Android Police says however its good to go with flashing this firmware as it is International
What do you guys think?

@Oniska
I think you should try it and see. Little risk. I'm on AT&T (GSM carrier like Europe) and 47Z works fine for me.
47Z works well in Canada. You should have no issues flashing 47Z in Denmark.
I just don't want to mess up my modem/radio draining my battery because of bad signal... I know it will be working but is the firmware optimal for my device.
I'm unsure on this as well - how can AndroidPolice say "International (exc. US and Oceania) LMY47Z" and also "Sprint/USC LMY47Z" which contradicts itself, but then on Google's factory image site say "5.1.1 (For Sprint, USC ONLY) (LMY47Z)".
This is telling me that LMY47Z is not the for the international version of the Nexus 6
Taomyn: Exactly

Also my nexus is unlocked and bought through the google store so I would rather flash the base image instead of a carrier specific.

FWIW, I'm on AT&T and 47Z now, and it works fine. If something better/more specific comes out down the road, it's easy to flash the factory image.

Off course it's easy to reflash later but setting up 80 apps from zero takes like 2 hours

5.1.1 LMY47Z OTA update was 100.6 MB update according to the software update popup I got today.
My Nexus 6 was at 5.1 LMY47D prior to this update.
Strange that they dont release a "international" version when its easier to release this than a carrier specific firmware... I bought a nexus 6 because of the latest updates would get to a nexus phone, but however i was wrong. Even the LG G Flex2 i think the name was, has 5.1.1
I just flashed LMY47Z bootloader and radio zips in custom recovery and all is well

This newest fw needs to be leaked first. Like I said, at&t won't release it officially. But there's a chance root will work since it's an engboot and if the bootloader wasn't updated to v3, you should be able to flash pf2.

Ops, the image links.
Wow what a strange phone indeed:
https://whatismyphone.com/vendors/docomo/galaxy-note-9-sc-01l
its a snapdragon. SO no idea if its anything like the n9600 or the american n960u
in both cases, i dont think you will be able to simply flash with odin any other csc firmware.
if you can root it(if it is like the n9600) then you could probably get the csc file on there manually. thats whay i do with my korean N960n , i put canadian carrier files on it manualy.
anyways good luck! (you'll be needing it..lol)

Hello,
I have a Galaxy Note 9 from Japan, model SC-01L from DOCOMO carrier (unlocked).
I need to know if I can flash another stock firmware on this device from another country.
For ex. flash any ROM of the SM-N960U from US.
Well, its a model based on the Snapdragon. Any problem or observation about the modem or bootloader?
Could someone help me?
Cheers,

No, it doesn't work.
I've tried to flash US unbranded N960U1 (XAA) firmware on my SC-01L (Docomo) using modded/patched Odin and It will just fail.
However, I did manage to flash SCV40 (AU KDDI) firmware on my SC-01L (Docomo) without any issues. It's less bloatware compared to Docomo's Firmware maybe?
No issues with the modem, can make calls and SMS. APN auto-detected and able to use NFC.
Hope this helps!

Can I root and install custom recovery in this device? I just want to run latest custom roms.

Are you receiving updates? What is the country you are using the phone in?

I don't think there's anymore security updates for Note 9... the phone is already 5 years old and obsolete.

I didn't try to flash TWRP at that time and I've sold the phone long time ago. As there's no custom roms available for Japan Snapdragon variant.
