Which Xposed installer did you install? v2.x or v3.0? A screenshot of the Framework section within the Xposed Installer might be helpful.
I got almost the same problem on CM13; http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/xposed-framework-t3273084

Systemless xposed with SuperSU

Hi!
I was wondering if there is any way to install xposed systemless without having to install magisk as a prerequisite. As far as i know, version of systemless xposed above 86.2 ( or in the area) requires magisk to be installed but Id like to keep rolling with supersu. SuHide requires SuperSu to be installed systemless, therefore i can't use xposed with it wich is a bummer.
Anyone can help ?? Thanks !

I doubt if anyone can help you about that... You could wait, but it might never happen... You can also try to work on your own systemless version of Xposed...

I am using xposed with bunch of modules without any problems!
In OCT-os rom.
I tried with Framework SDK 25, dint work for me. Xposed installer does not detect it.. I am not flashing the TWRP, I am just booting with the TWRP. Would this be the reason why Xposed is not getting flashed?
I am on Moto G5Splus..
Got my Xposed Framework SDK25 v89 working, while creating a patched_boot.img I deselected "Preserve force encryption" and "Preserve AVB 2.0/dm-verity". Patched this new image and then Xposed zip.. worked like a charm!

xposed?

Hi anyone install Xposed on Android 8.1? Looked in the forum didn't see anything or my search came up empty. Wanted to make sure it worked before trying.
Gravity box is working for me. Had to install Xposed in order for it to work.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/razer-phone-2/how-to/gravitybox-pie-beta-t3909034
How did you install Xposed? Which way I mean. Did you do it through the xposed installer or through magisk?
Go here
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/app-gravitybox-v9-0-0-beta-1-android-9-t3908768
Look at the requirements area. Riru and edxposed are needed. Install these frameworks from within Magisk because they are zips and we don't have TWRP yet. After that install the riru apk and edxposed apk. Then install the gravity box apk. Reboot.
It took some reading but basically in order for the apps for riru and edxposed work, the framework needs to be there. It took me a little while to figure out since I haven't needed Xposed or gravity box since the old Xperia x10 days. This will work for me until we get some custom roms with TWRP working too.

[Q] How to install XPosed in Galaxy S8 (Android 8.0 Oreo Stock ROM)

Hey, so I've tried to install it by the XPosed installer APP 3.1.5 and I got "error 1", then I uninstalled the APP and flashed the XPosed Magisk module, and my phone got stuck in a bootloop. Trying to solve it, I flashed the xposed uninstaller ZIP with TWRP and (thanks God) the phone turned on. But now I just don't know how to proceed. What should I do to install it correctly?
Device: SM-G950FD (Galaxy S8 Exynos) - Rooted with Magisk
OS: Android 8.0 Official Stock ROM

You need the wanam fix for your xposed to work.... Xposed has incompatibility on certain Samsung devices and the wanam fixes that issue unfortunately it hasn't been updated with the fix in a while theres a way around it however it's a little technical

I made it happen my experience there is no guide for this workaround and xposed will always break safety net.... However the beautiful thing about systemless xposed is that when you deactivate the module and reboot you Will be able to pass safety net and when you done with passing safety net you re-enable the module
