Nice keep it up bro

I will try it, amazing work

Gave it a run today as I goofed messing with my phone and had to reflash, so I tried it out and it worked really nice and it saved me a bit of work..thanks

TWRP flashable Double Tap 2 Wake XZ1 kernels - .62/.80 firmware.
Flash the kernel for your device, flash magisk and reboot.
If double tap isnt activated after booting, toggle the switch off/on in display/advanced settings.

No problems, the next version will have the iovf kernels, stock kernels and maybe janns kernels (single, dual for all) as options too, ive removed the sound mod part as its problematic (some people have audio settings force closing, others dont) and the sony icons have to die, too many files are modified for the (frankly awesome) Q beta data icons to do a simple png/xml replacement. Which is a good thing, the new icons are great.

Yep, j4nn's kernel, not janjan's

TWRP flashable iovf .107 Double Tap 2 Wake kernels. Flash magisk after.
The .107 XZP kernels are working fine on .80 firmware on XZP, should be the same for XZ1.
Kernels removed pending further testing

The double tap to wake probably won't, but the kernel in general will work on stock ROMs.
eXistenZ has a modified file to activate double tap to wake and the settings app is modified so there is a switch for it.

Hmm.. no as the t2w is built in the rom patch..

Hey,
Tested the font picker, doesn't work on G8341...
After reboot no changes are visible. The font seems to be activated in the picker, but no result

Install the permissive selinux option for font picker to work :good:.

If I flash the dt2w kernel, would it override j4nn's hide bootloader unlock kernel?

Root doesn't seem to be working, went in to superuser and tried flipping it disabled and then back to app and adb with no luck. Flashed the latest SuperSU in the meantime. Otherwise so far so good, and it is probably the fastest/most fluid rom I've tried ART on so far.
LOL, and it put me back to stock recovery... Ahh, not sure if you meant to leave it in there, but stock recovery is in the rom zip.

Hi, thanks for the feedback. Interesting about the root and stock recovery. Anybody else having these issues? I had a look and found the same source tree after compilation than in my Hammerhead folder....did you open a Terminal and executed $su to see if the superuser is working? I usually do and found no issues. I will check and see what other users say..
Hi, updated one line in the Android.mk for the Superuser. New version is up and can be downloaded. Hope improves your issues on SU. I have none on my Hammer.....
UPDATE - SU is not working. Just compiling new version. Give me 30 minutes.
How is the battery life on this? Are you using stock kernel?
CaN this be run on dalvik as I'm using xposed modules

Stock recovery is still in the zip file, unless I'm totally off base here... But it did put me back to stock recovery again.
And I still get a Sorry test failed, feature cannot run on your device when I try to activate Root access in things like ES File Explorer.

Hi, nevermind on the recovery. You will stay on what you had before. For the root, did you download the latest version? I can compile from scratch in case the modification was not implemented. I am just puzzled since I had 0 problems on my Hammerhead build (and old Mako 4.2.2).

No, in terms of recovery, when I flashed the rom it also flashed stock recovery. So, it got rid of CWM and put me on stock recovery. And yes, I downloaded the latest rom and still had root issues.

Hi, I do not know how to help as I never had recovery problems on my ROMs. I also re-compiled and flashed on my Hammerhead and recovery remained TWRP...hope other users can report something. I also pm'ed you to get more information. I recommend you flash Googles 4.4.2 factory image and then TWRP and my ROM (or any other ROM). Then the baseline should be ok. Head up, it can not be a big issue...

I have had no issues with my recovery being wiped. I am using milti-rom though if that makes a difference.
Great rom by the way. I love the smoothness.
It just feels slightly smoother than other roms when scrolling in google+ and the xda app, and I havent switched to art yet.
Hey sir I've been trying several Roms all of them fast but this one has a slight advantage, I am liking it very much, will you add any more features that won't sacrifice the speed, is cm theming possible on aosp?
---------- Post added at 06:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:36 PM ----------
Oh I failed to mention there is one issue that I'm having, my GPS won't locate locations, so navigation is not working, but has always worked on other Roms, anyone else experiencing this? Is it possible to include LTE to permanently stay and is it possible to change the 4g icon to LTE

Hi guys, thanks for the feedback. First of all, does the embedded superuser work?
I will look into the location problem......
Update: Checked location on my Hammerhead and works. Since we use the same source tree, I suppose should work on Mako too. If really not, I need to change the vendor files.
I think it may not be working because I can't use root access on file manager, as far as GPS, it worked when I was outside so it may not be an issue but it normally works when I'm inside as well

Status & Progress
06.07.16 Enable HiFi DAC output. Fix volume clamp. Implement HiFi control settings + QS Tile (Settings->Sound&Notification->Hi-Fi options).
02.07.16 Games crash issue fixed. Numerous BT issues fixed. Switched to stock AudioFlinger so Viper4Android should work now. Consider this as a experimental build. Report bugs.
14.06.16 BT file transfer crash fix. Repo sync. PS: To make recent tasks gesture work - enable "three swipe for screenshot gesture" too. Its tmp bug.
20.05.16 Switched to AICP CM12.1 variant. Temasek has too much customized components from original CM which is hard to support and track all the changes. You need to do a full data wipe before using this build.
Reworked fp sensor gestures. Single tap and double tap is hardcoded behavior for now. Single for Back key, double for Menu key. Long press is also supported.
Early implementation of UCI templates for kernel features control. Flash UKM.zip and install Synapse app to control kernel features (voltage, hotplug control)
Updated camera and other proprietary blobs from latest chinese flyme os.
Custom RILJ with WB AMR codec support.
Trying to fire up hi-fi support (how to test?)
05.05.16 Implemented FlymeOS bottom right swipe up for recent tasks (see Display settings for enable/disable).
Device Power profile taken from stock. Basic CM Performance profiles implemented (need further tuning).
A lot of kernel commits (CPUs hotplug tuning, io governors, voltage control, etc).
Fingerprint sensor thresholds tuning for better gestures control.
Flashable stock FlymeOS Gallery & Camera apps (see main dl url).
30.04.16 BT issues fixed, as for now no crashes/panics. Will see further.. AudioFX EQ should work (not Reverb though). Gestures control panel issues fixed, added individual haptic feedback control for gestures only. Misc fixes.
27.04.16 Bluetooth Audio Profiles seems fixed (need further testing though), Doze enabled, misc bugfixes..
24.04.16 Have implemented screen & finerprint sensor gestures control panel (settings->gestures).
19.04.16 Alpha1 build uploaded:
* Ported opensource FPC1020 fingerprint driver (using openplus2, huawei p8 kernel and official fpr fingerprint mfg sources) with navigation gestures.
- Use tap for BACK key, swipe right for RECENT APPS, swipe left for MENU key. Default behavior can be changed in /system/usr/keylayout/fpc1020.kl file.
* Implemented basic Power and Lights HALs.
* Some minor fixes within device tree (brightness levels, telecom features etc..)
14.04.16 Preview build uploaded
Needs to be done
Fingerprint sensor security
FInd bugs and fight them
etc..
Bugs
Warning! If you want to revevert back to the stock rom (applies to TWRP restore only) aftet 19.04.16 and further builds be sure to flash original DTB image!

Amazing news thanks a lot for your work! I haven't tried it yet and I'd like to ask some questions first for those of you guys that are used to flyme devices though.
1. If you want to go back stock, do you just restore the stock nandroid backup or wipe and flash the official "update.zip"?

Well.. actually it's just first bootable build. Yes its working pretty fine at first glance but its raw and untested at all..
And i'm not sure it can be used as a daily driver by ordinary users due to the bugs which can arise unexpectedly so its on your own risk..
ps: desperately looking for anyone with good linux kernel programming skills to join the fpc1020d driver porting effort, i'm not so strong with all those internal things so need some help and advices..
Thanks for your work man!
It's a very good news, thank you for your work.
I'n not able to install the viper4android driver by the way, it's some hardware problem i imagine, could someone find a solution for this? the phone sound great, but would give much more with viper.
I get i/0 error if flash viper or fake driver installation if install viper via apk
First of all thanks for the work, one question, why not CM13?
Hey! great work. I'm trying it as of now. Will try it for a couple of days. This is a really good release to be a preview.
Sorry i can't be to any help. Will you keep going with this project? I was thinking about contributing in another ways, like maybe donations or so.
Can't you post i topic here on XDA begging for some help? Someone must know how to!

Bugs I found: no sound with Bluetooth. Sound through aux constantly keeps switching between headphones and speakers.

I can add DS enabler and kernels into aroma if some of users want it but i need build.prop from dsds .253 stock rom.
Im using this Rom now for a few hours. Installation went good for me. No Bootloops at the Beginning or something like this. Additionaly i installed Xposed which works fine. Very fast and snappy feeling so far. I will give it a try. Hope to get a better Battery than before (Xpower 3.0 which gave me after a good start a very bad Battery life) I will report!
Thanks for your work so far!

Imho SlimPie is better for three Reasons: Batterylife is better, no Crashes (Xpower crashed about 2-3 times per Week), and the fact that it is based on .253 as Xpower is based of .224.
I changed the Rom as i got serious Batterydrain by Google Services and Google Play Services in Xpower which are now gone. Also SlimPie feels snappier, but this can be the result of the Kernel Tweaks i made in Xpower to extend the Batterylife. No additionaly Tweaks necessary in SlimPie for me so far which gives me a good feeling.
Which Rom do u use?

I did a clean Install. Wipe System, Data, Cache and Dalvik.
Maybe u can choose the Sunkernel so we can compare the Batterylife?
edit: In this Case, let us compare the Antutu Scores too, heres mine: 75497

Just to be sure, did you flash the offical .253 ROM first (as mentioned under OP's requirements) or directly from .224 ?

I have never paid attention to the background data stuff, I'll look into it, but till then, go to developer menu and disable whatever u don't want running. Or under applications.

Awesome happy to hear you got it booted... Yeah I forgot it would prob work on the other twrp too. Thanks for the reminder bro some of the ROMs I have been working on need the one and some need the other.. depends on what you're working with. Enjoy.. pixel experience port should be up soon too, along with a port of the radical experience rom.
Need testers, PM if interested. Zero pay and lots of battery removal. Hmu.
Will the camera work on those or will need to be fix later as well

That's probably a Magisk bug backing up stock boot images. I just added the official zip to my aroma setup. I'll try to update it to the latest beta as soon as I finish updating the base
I don't have that problem tho..

No.
By the way don't deodex the ROM because it will slow down things.
You already said that you want this ROM to be clean right ? so no themes, no modifications. Because I love like this to.
Odexed ROM is better for speed so please just leave it odexed and do your other things without deodexing it.
Okk before downloading view this link

Or search for hidden csc features in A5
Also search a simple debloat script and you can have all these features on latest patch( latest firmware )

I'll update to latest firmware. The post that you linked is credited in the OP and it's not at it is.
The simple debloat script breaks samsung cloud, samsung gear devices functionality, etc.. and also breaks other stuff that leads to insane battery drain (it would only last one day).
If it was so easy and so great I wouldn't bother.

No.
Did anybody compare this ROM to the Elite Stock ROM down in this board?
The zip is certainly smaller, about 300mb.
Im starting to have some stability issues with elite stock ROM.
One has to be careful debloating a stock ROM, Samsungs setup is complicated and some things could brake.

I did and that was the one I was using before I decided to make a improved one.
You will notice a big improvement in battery life.. more features and all broken stuff from debloating fixed.. like galaxy apps.. gear and cloud
You can also wait for the weekend as I will update the base to latest.
