[Q&A] Splash screen changed after unlocking bootloader

Hi guys, recently I try to unlock the bootloader of my Mi 5 and everything it's OK but the splash screen shows a message of the bootloader. I try to change it by flashing the stock splash.img but when I reboot has the same splash screen. I'm on MIUI 8 7.1.19 Global Dev. How I can change it or any solution for this? Thanks

That's Android Nougat's function
The red lock is there to show that your bootloader is unlocked
It wont hamper the functionality of MI5 or MIUI. Nothing to worry about
If you lock your bootloader again, I think the red lock should go

Flashing another rom will do. Once I flashed Lineage OS that unlocked bootloader message was vanished.

Xiaomi Mi A2 stuck on Android One

Hi All,
My Mi A2 suddenly conked off and now is rebooting to the Android One screen. While trying to flash the device using the official Mi tool as well as the "Minimal ADB and Fastboot" command line gets stuck with an error of the device being locked.
Used the Mi unlock tool for unlocking but it gets stuck with an error "Device basic data verification failed. This device couldn't be unlocked" have tried using different possible logins on the tool, but nothing works. Have tried to lookup for the unlock error but have failed to find anything that helps.
Would be great if anybody can help on how to go ahead with unlocking and further recovery of the phone.
Thanks,
Search "Guides" forum for "Test-point" and "Edl-mode".
Thanks for the reply. Will have a look.

Bricked MI 6X was bricked MI A2

I acquired a bricked MI A2 phone which I hoped to resurrect using MI Flash tool and suitable stock firmware. Fastboot is accessible, but can't use it to flash anything as the bootloader is locked, so used the test point method to get into EDL mode. Tried flashing various jasmine firmware versions but got errors. Eventually successfully flashed MI 6X (wayne) firmware and now fastboot getvar product shows 'wayne'. Unfortunately the phone still seems to be bricked as the MI logo appears for a few seconds then a white line progresses across the screen with numbers above counting from zero to 99.99% , then stops.
Can anyone please help and maybe suggest what I should try next?
I have since flashed various MI 6X stable and developer firmware using QFIL, but still get the same result as described above and as shown on attached images.
Is this likely to be a hardware issue?
