ProCase Galaxy Tab S6 10.5 Case - Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Accessories

So I picked up the S6 at BB today and I needed a case quickly, so I ordered this ProCase on Amazon and it will be here tomorrow morning. For $10 its better then being naked until some decent reviews of good cases come out. I'll update this when it arrives.

It doesn't look too bad. One thing it is missing is a cover for the sPen, but so far I've only seen that on the Samsung cases.

Yeah, wth man? Does Samsung have an exclusive/patent for pen covers, or what?
I'm buying a cover today, don't for sure which one, but it'll have some sort of pen holder.

Let us know how you get on, I opted for the official case purely because of the pen cover so it'll be interesting to see if it stays in place

I have been looking through eBay and Amazon on a daily basis to see if there are any new cases being listed. Today I found one on Amazon with a case that has flexible material covering half of the S-Pen. It costs $10.99 with 8% discount. Here is the link below.

Definitely the best option I've seen so far. Wondering if 'edge swiping' will be an issue. Still, ordering now.
Thanks! I've been doing a lot of searching too.

Great minds think alike lolol. Got my s6 at bb a few days ago and bought the same case from Amazon because this puppy needs a case and there are no leather ones just yet.
Good news the case you and I bought works very well with the s6 with solid corner protecting and the slim form factor works for me. With the case the s_pen sits where it needs to without it falling out so far. For the price quite pleased.
All the best

So as an update ,its been almost 2 weeks since I got my ProCase and I have no complaints with it (other then it doesn't hold the SPen any more securely then having no case. It folders nicely in 2 different different positions for watching movies. It seems to put the tablet screen to sleep when I cover it and covers the edges of the tablet nicely without adding to much bulk.
The only thing I noticed and may be a tablet issue not the cover, but sometimes I'm getting notification even if I'm not using the tablet (and the cover is covering the screen). ie someone sends a Facebook message and the tablet vibrates to let me know it got one.

What do you think about this?
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07T2MP8R2/?th=1

$10 Case
I also purchased this case to use until my Keyboard Case arrived. It is a perfectly serviceable case. It fits the tablet well and protects it.
For $10, you really can't ask for anything more. I'm satisfied with it.

I actually picked this one up which provides some protection for the S-Pen
https://www.amazon.com/Infiland-Multiple-Samsung-SM-T860-Charging/dp/B07X1J2Y5Q/ref=pd_sbs_147_4/130-0278015-9288254?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B07WYXW4LV&pd_rd_r=4a5416f3-6149-4f6f-9dd6-faa59352bf3f&pd_rd_w=94FZj&pd_rd_wg=M0FSR&pf_rd_p=d66372fe-68a6-48a3-90ec-41d7f64212be&pf_rd_r=YBPBQMCGC28AMJH5KDVZ&refRID=YBPBQMCGC28AMJH5KDVZ&th=1
It's not bad, a little thin, but I guess that can be good or bad depending if you want something lightweight or improved protection. They do offer a thicker model for a little more money.

Bought it at Amazon for $10.99
PROS
S-pen fits tighly in pouch
Sturdy construction
Sleep on close
Snug fit (see cons)
Cut-outs on right and left for edge-swiping
CONS
Not lightweight—is significantly heavier than previous covers I've used
Maybe too snug of a fit—had to stretch out the PU 'leather' for tab to be fully inserted

Thank you for your review of the product!
I did see another case last week that was very similarly designed to the Samsung book cover where it actually had a magnetic cover for the s pen. It sold out pretty quickly but kept it in my wish list on Amazon in case they stock it back up. I believe it sold for around $18. I leave a link below in case anyone is interested.

If I didn't already have one I'd buy it, when possible. I like it's S-pen cover design. I use my tablet 'upside down' (charging cable on top, and better grip in left hand—I'm right-handed).
Only possible 'problem' is weight. This one is listed as 11.2 oz vs the Dadanism listed at 7.7 oz. I added it to my list, though.
Thanks

Only con is a big one—as I feared before I bought it the magnet that holds the tablet on to the case interferes with the screen's ability to sense the S-pen.

I have both. First Dadaism (no attachment magnets), then saw post about Ztotop and it looked perfect, until I tried writing/drawing with S-pen and experienced the 'dead-zone' problem as shown in screenshot.
Since you are not having problem I wonder if they made changes to placement or strength of magnets???
Before I try to exchange mine, I just want to confirm that you don't have dead spots using S-pen.
Please let me know, Thanks!

hmm. shipping fees to the US are ridiculous.. that might be a deal breaker.
I've ordered from them before (iphone metal back), it was about the same service as dealextreme, same shipping time as well.
ordered one off ebay in gray. should get it by end of next week.
I can't seem to find it on Ebay UK yet. It would be great if you could make a short review when yours arrives. It looks a good case in my opinion. Hopefully the quality is good.

Shame it's not shipped from the UK.
Mine arrived (finally).
Decent enough quality although there's a bit of seam splitting already after a few days use. Fits snugly, the smart cover functionality works flawlessly and the folding mechanics work well - 30 or 45 degree angle depending on the fold.
It won't protect much during a drop but while closed it offers good scratch and impact protection for the screen. I bought it for this and the stand function without adding much bulk to the device while in use, so I'm happy with it. When not in use I carry the tablet around in a Mofi zipped pouch and the pair complement each other nicely.

Case that can be a wallet replacement

I'm looking for a nice leather case that can double as a wallet replacement. That is to say, it should have a place for cards and cash.
I've found two manufacturers that make a nice leather case; Zenus and Spigen:
izenus.com/smart-phones/galaxy-note-2.html
spigen.com/cell-phone/samsung/galaxy-note-2/galaxy-note-2-leather-wallet-case-valentinus-series.html
My only concern is that none of the pictures show US currency laying flat in the cash slot. Since the Note II is just a whisker shorter than a US banknote this should be feasable, no?
How's Seido?
http://www.amazon.com/SPIGEN-SGP-SG...dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1
Second review says currency does not fit unless folded.
I looked a Seido as I have used many of their products in the past.
However, it looks like they just have rubber/plastic cases.

My thinking is that I'll be less likely to loose either if I have everything together but that's just a theory. Mostly, I just want to carry less around with me every day.
I found another company (Noreve) that makes a wallet style case and I've got a message into them to see if their cases are long enough for US banknotes.:
www.noreve.com/langue/en/product/Samsung_Galaxy_Note_2_Tradition_B_leather_case.html
We will see.
Give Etsy a try. Here's a simple search I did for Galaxy Note 2 wallet.
You might find something custom made or on request.
I'm wanting something similar and may resort to making my own. If you find something worthwhile post it up!
I'm also looking for a case with a wallet functionality. My biggest gripe is that most cases do not offer full protection.
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/momax-the-core-smart-case-for-samsung-galaxy-note-2-black-p37081.htm
That's the closest I can find to full protection, but it doesn't have wallet portion.

What about this, you can detach the phone case from the wallet, they also have one without the clasp, but I think this one is the closest to full wallet.
But still, not sure if you can put the whole paper money flat inside, I'm laying on my bed, too lazy to get up and grab my wallet to measure the currency to my note

I see it does not have any pockets for cards or money. My concern with these type of cases is that over time, the cards will leave an impression on the SP at least (I doubt it would mark the GGII screen directly).

It is a black nylon like fabic which folds like a book and also holds the Nexus 7 vertically in landscape mode with two positions.
It cost £14.99 and I consider it very good value.

Nexus 7 smartcover?

Hi XDA! I am looking for my PERFECT case/smartcover for the Nexus 7.
So the official Nexus 10 has a smart cover that is incorporated into the "rubber feet" on the back. Today, while walking through a mall, I saw these Blackberry Z10 smartcovers that are incorporated into the battery door.
Do you know of a case that is similar for the N7?
this is what the Blackberry Z10 battery door/smartcover look like http://bit.ly/10KGnO9
tried looking around, I haven't yet found anything so I gave up. Now my N7 has no case but I might just sell it an get an N10 anyways
The back has never needed any protection so these folio cases are pointless....it's the front that always has, and a bumper of sorts with the smartcover built in would be ideal
Exactly. The N7 is pretty bulky as is, dont need an extra layer in the back.

I have a moko cover that's pretty sweet. Its a portfolio case that let's you stand it in landscape to use with a Bluetooth keyboard or just to watch videos.
I tried posting a link but since I'm a new users, the forum won't allow me to. Just go to amazon and search for "moko slim-fit case" $15.99
Similar to the Blurex cases.
I've tried lots of cases. I DID like the Blurex/Moko style. However it did add a considerable amount of thickness. I also tried the Poetic case, which is a slim hard back plastic case with a smart case attached. It worked pretty well and latches shut at the end to keep closed. The Poetic case is the best case I've found for a smart cover type protection.
I eventually settled on a hardback book case. It is stylish and gives it a little more protection. The lid stays closed with a strap but some include wood shells with magnets. I opted for the cheapest solution and find it very good. In fact it has held up very well. The tablet is held in by sticky tape. I've owned mine for months and never had it fall out or need to be cleaned/restuck.
http://shop.portenzo.com/hardback-for-nexus-7/
Plenty of color combinations. I have a Red exterior, white inner liner, and a black strap. Nice and clean.
So iPAD mini like smart covers isn't available for the N7 ? I too just need a lightweight smart cover only to protect the screen and not the back and was wondering if something like poetic slimline exists?
The Poetic Slimline does exist, as my previous posts states, for the Nexus 7:
http://bit.ly/192m6YK
The iPad Smart Covers uses many magnets around the edge of the screen to keep the flappy flap tight against the surface. Others just use one side of magnets at the edge of the closing point.
Very good price too. I purchased mine for $20, but it is showing $9.95 at Amazon right now.
The Poetic was nice and I liked it but out of the 4-5 months I owned it, I had to replace it 3 times because the material would break at the seams. Poetic has a 3yr warranty and replaced it hassle free by just emailing them my Amazon order number. Because they are so cheap, they don't even bother wanting the old one returned... so while they were falling apart, other N7 owners didn't mind a free slightly worn case.
Here is a video of them:

Any idea if there's any similar chinese ones or replica? Have seen few smart covers from China on Ebay but they have the problem of turning off the screen when cover is flipped around.

I've heard good things about the Nillkin smart-wake cases. While the case covers both the front and back, the folding section does not, which makes it a bit slimmer (Hard to explain, take a look at the link for a picture). Apparently these cases don't suffer from the waking issue when folded backwards, either.
Here's a review I found: http://www.androidcentral.com/nillkin-leather-flip-cover-nexus-7
Dad recently bought a Nexus 7 and we ordered this case, though we haven't received it yet so can't offer any first-hand impressions.

Heard about Nillkin so let me see
EDIT:
Doesn't protect the screen as cover doesn't have magnets on edges(magnetic closure) like poetic one to close it 100%
EDIT2:
Ordered Poetic Slimline

Samsung Official Clear Cover

This is the case that is referred to as a "Bumper" and doesn't in any way cover the screen but does provide a bumper to all the edges and has a cover on the back.
It is £19.99 on Samsung's store (and elsewhere, although this appears to be the only official case not being sold by amazon currently).
I have just ordered one and wonder if anyone else has one, or considered it?
I bought the black protective cover from Samsung. It's more of a smoke cover but looks almost clear on a black device. It provides very little protection from drops but I'm usually pretty good about not dropping my phone. I like it better than the alacantara case. It doesn't go over the buttons either which is kinda nice because you get to feel the click better but doesn't offer any protection for them.

I ordered one for my Note 8, just shipped on Amazon and waiting for delivery in a few days. I have an orchid gray phone, but it seems I accidentally ordered the black one and only noticed after it was shipped. Anyway, I'll post some pictures of it when I get it here, I only considered it because I really liked the clear protective case from Samsung for the S8+ but I couldn't get that then so this time around I wanted to try an official case.

Yes, please do let us know what you think of it, I've got a spigen case with the stand but it feels a tad too bulky. Considering ordering the official sanding slim case. I couldn't tell from the pictures if it covers the top and bottom of the phone?

Ugh, I hate waiting, but Amazon seems to be taking extra long with this one (well, not really Amazon, but crappy USPS). From what I can tell of the generic picture on Amazon of the front of the device, the case covers all sides except the bottom where it's got a sort of opening for the headphone hack, USB-C port and S-Pen slot.
The official Clear Case has arrived, I ordered from Samsung directly for £19.
I am really impressed. It is certainly more of a "bumper" case, with most of the protection being on the edges of the device. It is lightweight and isn't clunky when fitted so the Note 8 still looks good with it on.
It has a plastic cover on the rear so no scratches etc when placing it on surfaces.
Obviously it doesn't' protect the screen, but you know that when ordering this sort of case.
My first impressions are it is worth the money if you want a case that primarily protects the edges and doesn't add weight or bulk to the device.

£15 at Amazon.
I like it as it preserves design.

Does it cover the bottom of the phone enough to prevent scratches? As in, are there cut outs for the ports or is the whole bottom just open?
