Custom Logo.bin(s) for all Moto G7- get rid of root warning screens hide "bad key" - Moto G7 Themes, Apps, and Mods

Custom Logo.bin(s) for all Moto G7- get rid of root warning screens hide "bad key"
Neither of these logo.bins are going to shorten the 5 second wait Motorala puts on a unlocked. Rooted phone. That is only going to happen with a custom ROM.
There is no way broadcasting that a device is rooted with a warning helps with securing a device. Anyone who has rooted their phone knows it is rooted and does not have to be warned. The best security avenue is making a rooted phone look normal.
So the below logo bins are just the stock logo.bins with a couple of changes, but all else the same as stock.
The first logo.bin is just the pale blue and yellow boot logo bin replacing the warning messages. Unfortunately, it does not hide the “bad key” notice.
The second logo bin is the light blue background has been changed to white so the “bad key” message is hidden.
The third is to hide if you get white numbers in the middle. The Motorola log is put on the bottom and center is white.
This logo.bin s will work with other Moto phones if the screen size is the same. It may work to some degree if the screen sizes are slightly larger or smaller. The plus has a few more icon screens which are not in these logo bins.
Moto G7 screen sizes:
• Moto G7/G7 Plus: 6.24-inch, 2270 x 1080, 403ppi
• Moto G7 Power: 6.2-inch, 1520 x 720, 271ppi
• Moto G7 Play: 5.7-inch, 1512 x 720, 294ppi
These logos are based Moto G7 Power screen size which is right in the middle.
Place the logo.bin you want to flash in your adb/flashboot folder. Change the name to logo.bin or use the name replacing “logo.bin” when you flash in the type below. Shift right click the folder and choose cmd or powershell from the menu.
Put your phone in fastboot, menu down button while holding the power button, the first menu. USB connect to computer.
Type:
fastboot flash logo_b " logo name here .bin "
fastboot flash logo_a " logo name here .bin "
Unplug USB, and reboot phone and you should see the results. Cheers.

Moto G7 Power logo.bin(s):
Moto G Power stock lightblue_logo.bin
Moto G Power hide bad key white_logo.bin
Moto G Power hide numbers whitecenterlogo.bin
Moto G7 Play logo.bin:
Moto G7 Play hide bad key logos
Moto G7/G7 plus logo.bin:
Moto G7 Plus hide bad key logos
I only have the G7 power, so it is the only one tested. The other G7 logo bins are the appropriate screen sizes so should not be a problem. Stock logo.bin can be gotten from am appropriate stock firmware zip and be flashed the same as any custom logo.bin as described above.

anyway you could upload the right size for the Moto G7/G7 Plus: 6.24-inch, 2270 x 1080, 403pp??? cause all the bins you shared are 720x1520, so they are way too small for the G7

I made them for the G7 power as the title says. I will try and make them for Moto G7/G7 Plus when I have time and I guess the play also.
I thought this post was taken down since it disappeared shortly after I put it up, so I hadn't bothered to do anything else.

Thank you for your response!!!
I tried flashing it but I only see a black screen with a N/A, I was hoping to see the blue and yellow logo or the second white and yellow one but it's only showing a black screen

OK I redid it, so download again and try. I don't have a G7 plus or G7 so I can't test it. You should see at first the white with yellow logo because that hides the white bad key message. Then it should turn to the blue with yellow logo. There are other warning message and they have all been turned to blue yellow screen. They are a little bit bigger files, I could turn them all into white with yellow logo and it would reduce the .bin file size, doubtful that is the problem but who knows.
I do know the G7 power logo.bins work because I am using it. It should be just a matter of increasing the screen size of the image and making sure the files are properly named.

thanks bro!!
Unfortunately it still shows a black screen with the N/A ...
tried the other bins for the other phones and those show the correct image but in the incorrect size, so basically it shows the logo like centered in the middle because it's not the right resolution.. it's just weird how the one for this device wont work
I edited the logo.bin and replaced the image with the correct resolution image, it works perfect.
I attached the edited logo.bin inside the zip

Ok, looking at the one you got working and the one that was not working for the G7/G7 plus, I can see the problem. The logo.bin I had for the G7/G7 plus had extra screens like yellow-1. yellow 2 etc . That is what I get for relying on someone else for the correct logo.bin. Since I do not own a G7/G7 power, I did not download a stock firmware for G7/G7plus and get the logo.bin from it. I took a short cut. The G7/G7plus logo.bin file you sent has all the same screen files as the other G7 and no extra ones.
I did make one change to your logo.bin. The logo_unlocked screen on yours is the old stock warning. I changed it to the white yellow logo screen. I guess since you get N/A and not the bad keys notice on your device you see the yellow, red, or orange screen. The people that get the bad keys notice see the logo_unlocked screen. Anyway I upload that logo.bin file to the main post link for anyone else.
Thanks for your help.

[Q] disable boot animation

I hate splash screens/animations in general, disable them whenever I can, so I am curious about possibly disabling the boot animation on my xoom. No custom work, I just want it to go away because it's annoying.
At the absolute minimum I guess a static image wouldn't be too bad if removing the animation results in a black screen. I'd much prefer to see the actual linux/honeycomb boot messages, though. What's the best way to accomplish this?
you could just make a plain black screen boot animation. it would just display a black screen. problem would be is how would you know if you were in a boot loop?
you could also just rename bootanimation.zip and it will not play. it will display a black screen. but i agree with sardo, if you get into a boot loop you may be difficult for you to realize.

Drat. Thanks for the info guys. Is there no way to see the actual boot-up sequence? Some of the boot animations had seemingly useful info but I was wondering if that was actual boot data stylized by a template or just an animation that looked like one.
Create a Boot immage with the Bootloader Motorola Logo so it just sets on the same logo untill the OS boots up. Easy and doesnt have to be annimated

I thought this method actually has the effect of removing the Stock xoom boot animation but playing the stock android animation. The one that just has the word android with light going across it.

Droid Razr M Boot animation/sound

Followed a couple tuts on how to get it, but the sound doesnt work. Also the size is very small.
Is there a animation file thats the right size? Also how do I get the boot sound to work with our device?

Moto Display / Active Display (See Moto E 2nd Gen)

So... it looks like Motorola came up with a way to utilize Moto Display on the 2nd Generation Moto E without an AMOLED screen - probably similar to how Peek works things. I wonder if they'll port that over to the Moto G 2nd Gen - or if they'll wait and stick it on a 3rd generation Moto G.
I read something somewhere that the second G was supposed to get it but not sure how accurate that source was. Also not really sure what implications this will have on battery life.
If they do implement it however, I hope there is a way to disable it. I'd be willing to test it but will probably not use it.
Sent from my XT1064 using Tapatalk
If you want to really use Moto Display, use the AcDisplay app on the Play Store. It does practicaly the same
Moto display is Ambient Display???
If yes, Is a thing already present on 5.0
Ambient Display - While your phone’s display is off, Ambient Display can show notifications without turning on the full display. This will be triggered when a notification arrives. You will see notifications similar to that shown on the lock screen. You can turn this feature on in the Display menu in Settings, and note that it will increase the power consumption of your device.
Moto G (2nd Generation) - Android™ 5.0 Lollipop - Release Notes
Or you talking about something else?
see my pic, i'm on stock + xposed is not a custom ROM.
It's similar, yes, but it is definitely NOT the same. With moto display, the phone turns on and shows you the notification when you pick it up, move it, take it out of you pocket. That's really the part that I would like to see happen on the Moto G.
Yeah, I am aware that it could affect battery life. My battery life is fine, I would still like to see how it would be.
Test the App 'Gravity Screen' from Playstore. It has the same functions as you described...
Yep, have that installed. Still working on tweaking the settings, but as of yet, I haven't found it as reliable as the same type of features on the first generation Moto X.
the functions that you want are from this app... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.motorola.aon or https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.motorola.motodisplay
Moto E is not on supported list...
I did not see a E 2nd Gen, but i don't think it will have that, only have the Ambient Display, like Moto g on L...
If it have, must be easy to port to G, the hardware is very close....
If is something different from that moto app, share a video a demo, because i'm curios.

Here's the official announcement video. The time index of talking about Active Display is about..... 2:49 or so. It's definitely there. And yeah, I know about Ambient Display, ACDisplay, Dynamic Notifications, Peek, and Gravity Switch, and all the things one can do to try to hack the feature in. They work, more or less. But on my Moto X 2013, active display simply works more reliably. If the Moto E feature ends up ported to the G, I'd be very happy to see it.
custom rom
Guys,
Is there any chance to get any custom rom for moto e 2nd gen because i'm thinking of buying this phone
Looks like the Moto G 3rd gen ended up with Moto Display / Active Display like the Moto E 2nd Gen. Not sure if that means AMOLED screen on it, or if it's using some other way to keep the battery use down.

i download the moto g 3° rom, copy all the files that are related to moto display (all that i think is need maybe there is more), i don't plan to make it work, because i don't use it:silly:, but if you wanna here a zip...
the zip flash ok, but don't work in the rom i'm at (AOSP) it gives a FC ''com.motorola.system'' or some like that did not print the error.
if you try and not work use the Cleaner-MotoDisplay_3.0 will remove every file of the zip MotoDisplay_3.0

Right....it's missing LED Notification light on 3rdG.....so how the "Moto Display" works ? If I put it on my office desk, should I pick it up everytime I want to see the notification ? Because every few minutes I go to different rooms.

A bit late, but, should this work? I flashed it but I don't know how to access the feature. Should it have created an app or a settings option? I am using CM12.1, it has Ambient Display but it doesn't work quite as well as the stock Moto Display.
Moto G2 had ambient display built in with 12.1 . Sadly, they removed the feature around August. It had to do something with the kernel was not intended to support it.

[Q] Strange background on all screens! What's that???

Hi,
I just bought a brand new Moto xt 1058 unlocked. There is some strange background on all screens even in the boot screen. You can see some words like " talk more" etc. Does anyone know how to get rid of that?
I made a photo of the screen using another phone. By the way, if I make a screenshot, the background is not seen on the screenshot.
It is not clear on this picture, since the image is compressed. However if it is downloaded and viewed by a photo viewer, you can see some pattern and text in the backround
Are you sure it was brand new? It could have burn in on the screen. Common problem with amoled displays.
Looks like it was a demo unit and the screen burned in there little marketing images...
If you bought the device in the last year I would return it for screen burn in.

Question Vivo x fold 2, should I buy it?

Hello
I pre order the Google pixel fold, but it was delayed delivery for 1 month, so i decided to cancel it. I don't trust Google anymore.
How is the Vivo X Fold 2? How is the Camera performance? Battery life? The software?

Battery life is phenomenal and it charges to full in 26 minutes. Pixel fold has incredibly slow charging times and using a lesser processor chip (tensor). Cameras are nice but maybe the 1 area where pixel trumps Vivo however all the other hardware on Vivo will destroy Google I'm sure. I'm extremely happy with mine. Brightness is higher nits than on any other fold too. Plus you'll be saving hundreds getting the Vivo. It's a no brainier. Software takes a little getting used to a notifications are a little annoying. I still can't get message preview for WhatsApp messages but other than that it's solid.

Yeah I can see the message by pulling down and technically I can reply from there, when I write the message and press send the send button turns into a circle going round and round as if it's trying to send. It has sent but it will sit there indefinitely spinning round. On my last phone when you press send the message disappears and you know it's been sent.

I have both vivo x fold version
I think in terms of camera it is a downgrade due to lacking periscope lens. I think the recent software upgrades makes the vivo x fold 2 questionable. But the vivo x fold 2 is a lighter device and the camera quality is still A+ (slightly below the vivo x90 pro + though). The charging between the x fold and x fold 2 are still light years ahead of pixel fold's speed.
I think it boils down to a few critical things comparing the two. If you never had a rooted vivo x fold, then I would get the x fold 2. If you find a rooted device (boot loader unlockable), I would still consider the vivo x fold
If it's true you cannot remove vivo.pem anymore live with a phone without notifications or even ringtones for many apps. It's unusable without debloat like any origin OS vivo.
So I'm having this issue with Microsoft teams and what has worked for me is keeping the app pinned from my recents section. Dirty fix but it works so far and I don't notice it.
using the app Edgemask (which I've used for years also really helps, plus more customization options for notifications)
Also for some reason yes, you cannot delete using the adb command but you can put it to sleep and you have to use 1 after user in the command and not 0.not sure why, but it gives you an error if you try slot 0
