No stats, Selected From or To Referenced Could Not Be Loaded. Please Refresh - BetterBatteryStats

I'm on a non-rooted S10 5G and have started getting a an issue with no stats and when I try and refresh get a message, "Selected From or To Referenced Could Not Be Loaded. Please Refresh" that does nothing. The drop down next to Current has nothing in it to select and Current is the only option there. This happened before and uninstalling, reinstalling and going through the ABD commands fixed it, but that's a pain the butt. Any help greatly appreciated.

HardReset not possible - phone broken

Hi folks,
I'm having big problems with my Diamond. Yesterday evening i was listening to MP3 with the Headset. After I decided not to throw the phone against the wall cause the Windows Media Player did not continue playing the next MP3 on the playlist without me pressing "next", i turned it off and removed the headset.
This morning i woke up, the display was on and not going off again (no power cable connected). Some minutes later the alarm should wake me up, but the phone just vibrated and displayed the message, no alarm noise. I ignored, dismissed the message and waited for the next alarm 10 minutes later ... but nothing happened. Then i tried to play any sound in "Sounds and Notifications" but there was nothing to hear.
As I'm used to the phone not playing the alarm, i did a soft reset. The black today screen came up (just before TouchFlow 3D normally starts) and then the phone froze. Start menu did not work, nothing.
3 Soft-Resets and a connected power cable later, the same - phone freezes just when ToughFlow 3D should start. I tried a hard reset as a last solution and then ... error message.
The message "Trigger USB Host" appears for a while, then a red message "retry enter USB" displays. Phone does this for 4 or 5 times, then gives up and shows following message with a Red/Green/Blue/White Background:
--------------------------RED--------------------------
DIAM100 64;
SPL-1.37.0000
MicroP-Diam (LED) v11
-------------------------GREEN------------------------
PSOC-Diam STAGE_PVT v0x30
--------------------------BLUE------------------------
-------------------------WHITE------------------------
USB
-------------------------------------------------------
Looks like this tells me, that the USB Port does not work.
Is it possible that the USB is broken by the Headset, maybe a combination of weak braze point and bad move?
Trying the HardReset again and again (with and without power cable, with and without SIM card inside) results in the same behavior.
I ordered a spare device on amazon and will return this as broken.
Colleague from me had today the same issue after installing new ROM (Bepe 0.54) and trying to restore his "old" backup afterwards. Didnt boot up afterwards and after hardreset the USB message appeared.
We connected at that state the phone to the PC and started Bepes Romupdate again. This worked without any problem and the phone seems to be fixed now.
I did not install any custom ROM and do not really want to do it, as i want to send it back as "broken"
The problem is, i've applied the tweaks described in the forum, e.G. removed the start screen and animation. Had no problems with it before, but that should not be the reason for not working HardReset, is it?
btw, the "USB" down below shows me that the phone is in USB mode, removing the cable changes display to "SERIAL". The Computer shows a device "PocketPC USB Sync".
Is there any way to trigger kind of hard reset through this device, as it seems to be a way to install new roms?
Here a photo ... btw, after 1st try it's showing these not healthy looking lines on the display:

Someone tell me, if i'm doing something wrong with the HardReset.
Its your choice if you want to install new ROM or not (need to install USPL unlock first). If you can wait until you get it repaired back then of course its the safer way ...
uhm, okay ... next time, please someone tell me that "the OK Button" is not the top-right one, it's the one in the middle.
Now the HardReset (which really was one) worked, yay

And now ? How is your Diamond ? Did it boot correctly ?
For anyone need to know exactly wich button they have to press and hold to do an "hard reset", here a link : http://www.hardreset.eu/htc_touch_diamond_hard_reset_soft_reset_en.html

Well, it's empty and back to factory defaults ... but working, for now.
Hope my E-Mail to amazon was early enough so they don't send me a new one.

No not your fault HTC forgot to put an standard image on machine.
Had same problem phone is going back now to store.
If you look closely to previous screen it says (realy fast though) no image found. the screen you posted means that the machine is looking for an image trough usb port. So your usb port isn't broken. I find it really strange of htc that there is no image on machine because sometimes you just want to reset to factory setting (i do cause i try and test alot on it). Anyway on htc site there is an new upgraded image wich you can try. Its an exe so just attach diamond to pc (active synch needs to be installed) and run exe

I have a quick question - When you do a hard reset, do you only loose your personal data and programs on the RAM storage, or do you also loose all data on the internal 4 Gb storage ?????

When you're in the same screen I was, you're wrong with the HardReset as I was. The "OK Button" you have to press to hard reset is not the "back" button in the top right corner of the phone, they mean the center (navwheel) button.
So to do a HardReset, press VolumeDown and NavWheelButton and Reset the phone. Then it will ask you if you really know what you're doing, then press VolumeUp button to accept.
Afterwards you're happy owner of an nearly empty phone

Phone 4 GB store stays untouched, so HardReset does not delete files on the ExternalStorage.
Kewl thnx will try when i have phone back

maybe u guys can Hard Reset using clear storage - its much easier

after a hard reset you have the option to wipe and format the storage also. you choose yes or no by pressing a different combination of vol button...don't remember exactly but the option is there..
about the main problem here, sorry that happened but i have the feeling that u are not doing a hard reset. the description of yr screen in the first post make be believe you are bringing the diamond to the bootloader screen...the hard reset screen is grey (?)
ask somebody to help you. one is pressing the volume and the round button and the other one press the red reset button. first release the red button and after a few secs release the other ones. i wish i can help more, i can only imagine what you are feeling..

2.2 upgrade - major issues! My phone isn't working! [edit: fixed it]

Hi.
I heard the 2.2 upgrade was finally out via kies, so in my infinite wisdom I downloaded kies, reverted back to the stock launcher in order to make it connect (thanks xda! =p) to my computer in kies mode, and clicked "upgrade firmware".
The update process went smoothly, and when it was done, my phone reset itself, as it should.
When it turned itself back on, it started vibrating in a pulse sort of manner. The "enter pin" screen is working, so I enter my pin, and then I'm greeted by an error message, or rather, I'm spammed by error messages:
"The application My uploads (process com.google.android.apps.uploader) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
"The process android.process.media has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
"The application Daily briefing (process com.sec.android.widgetapp.infoalarm) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
I am only presented with the option "Force close". When I do this, new error messages reading the exact same as the above ones keep popping up.
The only non-kosher app I had installed was the One Click Lagfix by RyanZA (or something like that). Except from that, I was running stock android 2.1 before upgrading.
I've got no idea what to do about this. It won't connect to kies, and I can't do anything at all on the phone.. I see the "first startup setup" thing in the background behind the errors, but I can't click anything because of the error spam.
In hindsight, I should've probably uninstalled the lagfix.. I'm fairly new to this game, it didn't even occur to me that I should've factory reset the phone (?) before upgrading firmware.
I feel like an idiot now, and my phone isn't working.
Please, is there anyone that can help me with this? >_< I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong section / if I should've posted it in the 2.2 thread. This is my first time posting here.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay, five minutes after posting this I managed to fix it myself.
Fixed it by going into 3 button recovery mode (power phone off -> hold home screen and volume up button while powering on) and formatting internal SD card as well as doing a factory reset. After that, my phone is now working like a charm again. (phew, this almost gave me a heart attack!!)
PS:
I figure if I'm stupid enough to #¤%&/ up my phone like this, someone else might also be.
Feel free to delete this if you disagree though =)

[Q] Power on when plugged in (boot when docked)?

Appologies if this has been asked/answered here before. I tried searching, but didn't find any solution. Maybe someone else has stronger Google skills than I.
Here is what I am trying to do. I'd like to find a way to have the Galaxy Tab power on automatically when it is plugged in to power and begins charging. My company has several Galaxy Tabs (rooted) that are being used for a specialized purpose. They should be plugged in 24/7. However, it is possible that they will lose power, and the battery will eventually run down. When power is restored, I'd like to be sure that they come back on, without any user interaction.
I don't THINK this is the case, but it is worth asking: Is this a standard Android setting I can change anywhere?
I assume I will have to modify some code. Right now, I notice that when the Tab is turned off, and you plug it in, the charging indicator shows up and displays the battery levels. To me this indicates that code is running SOMEWHERE as soon as the Tab gets plugged in. I'd like to hijack that, and just have it power on.
Does anyone know where I should start looking for the code that runs when the device is plugged in? I found a charging.jpg in /mnt/.lfs that seems to be the image that displays, but so far no sign of what code is running. If there is any sort of init script, that would be amazing if someone could point that out.
Even if you don't know how to accomplish this, if you have any helpful pointers or "take a look at these files" to point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it.
As always guys, thanks for all the help!
SOLVED: Power on when plugged in (boot when docked)?
Hey guys, I know that no one else may ever have any use for this, or even care, but I wanted to post an update. I was finally able to get this figured out through some guess work, trial and error, and looking at the work someone else did on a fairly similar project.
I owe plenty of credit to the fine work done by Chainfire on his project described in this link. His work, while not the same project, demonstrated that something similar to what I wanted to do WAS possible.
Anyway, to make the tablet boot up when first plugged in- The battery charging indicator that runs when you first plug in the Galaxy Tab is run from the file /system/bin/playlpm. To make it boot automatically, delete the old playlpm (or better yet, rename it to playlpm.bak, just in case) and replace it with the following script.
/system/bin/playlpm
Code:
#!/system/bin/sh
/system/bin/reboot
Be sure to set the ownership and permissions the same as the old playlpm. It didn't work for me at first because I had forgotten to give execute permission.
Thats all that it takes. Most of the time, the Tab should have enough power to go straight to booting. If the battery is really dead, it may flash the charging battery icon a few times, failing to boot until it gets enough charge. It will eventually come on.
I don't know of any additional side-effects for doing it this way, but there may be some, I don't know what else the stock playlpm is supposed to manage. This worked for my purposes though. Hope it could help someone else.
Hi DavidThompson256,
Just want to say thank you for your research, I've been looking for the same thing a few months and just discovered your post.
I thought it is something to do to the kernel but looks like this simple mod can do the trick.
Thanks again!
Ironically, I have an opposite problem. My phone automatically reboots when plugged in. My searching led me to your post. I installed the nomoarpower app but I could get it to keep my pad turned off. LOL
Did you have to root the tab before making this change?
Thinking about picking up the Galaxy Tab Plus but need it to do the same thing and boot when the power is plugged in.
An update?
I have cm9 how do i find the file for my gsii?
there is no such file as the one you speak for my device, how did you find what file yours was?
I am having a similar issue with a Nexus 7
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1815131
I cant find the file mentioned, I am assuming its probably renamed to something else, any advice would be greatly appreciated!
As many others I dont have this file on my galaxy tab II
But i do have the kernel doing someing when pluged in when the device is not powerd on. First it tryed to show the splash img and then starts the charing animation. Does anyone know where this script is launched on a galaxy tab 2 7"?
Thank you! Been looking like a mad person for a solution like this for a couple of days and only found NoMoarPowah, which didn't fit my needs.
Thank you...worked perfectly on my SGS3
on the s6500
thanks, this was really helpful. I've got this working on the Samsung Galaxy s6500 (mini 2), and I had to make a small addition to the script:
Code:
#!/system/bin/sh
su
/system/bin/reboot

I made one minor tweak to the code, as follows:
Code:
#!/system/bin/sh
sleep 20
/system/bin/reboot
This makes the program wait 20 seconds between recognizing that the device is plugged in before issuing the reboot command. This helps ensure my device has enough juice to actually start, hopefully on the first try but if not, then on the second.
You can adjust the sleep length as desired - see here: http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/linux-unix-sleep-bash-scripting/
I tried to install this app on my Galaxy Tab P1000. (Official Android 2.3.6 - rooted)
I always got the error message "202 - not enought space on /system ..."
So I installed MIUI V5 and MIUI V4 on my Tab.
I was able to install the app on both ROMs.
But both of them are not working properly.
If I turn off my device, it shows me the "new" battery info.
One second later, the display is getting darker.
One more second later, the display is turned off.
I am also not able to click on "reboot now".
(the timer option is working fine. I can set it to 2330 and the Tab will start at this time)
I want to use my Tab in my car instead of the built-in radio.
So I need that app getting working!
Please tell me which ROM u're using and which kernel
I'd be happy if someone else could help me with my problem

"No Service" after device shutdown - software or hardware issue?

I own a P880 device with cm-11-20150824-NIGHTLY installed for about month, so far it worked fine.
Followed by low battery the device was automatically turned off. After charging the device for a while I restarted it.
Now the device is unable to connect to the mobile network. The attached screenshot shows what I see whether the SIM card is inserted or not.
I've already tried the following, but the issue remains:
Turning airplane mode on/off, with or without rebooting between the turn off and on
Setting a 2G network
Choosing the network manually
Wiping the cache partition
Factory reset (wipe /data)
Restored an older CM11 backup that I was running with no problems for a few months.
More info:
The SIM card works fine in a different device.
The external SD card works fine (I'm mentioning this since the SIM card and external SD are on the same module).
There's no "No SIM Card" indication if the SIM card is not inserted.
Any idea what may cause this issue? does this seem like a software or hardware issue?

Yes, the battery (the original one) is fully charged. I also tried my backup battery which is of the same model as the original one.
Just reboot a couple of times most of the time it fixes it self

I have similar problem. It was giving me message on V10h firmware "Reorganization of internal processes" when I try to call someone or someone is trying to call me. I heard that upgrade to V20C official over LG sofware will fix that, and I upgrade it. And now after few hours of use I restart device and now he can't find service. When I try to call or do anything he give me that message "Reorganization of internal processes". Anyone know how to fix that what should I do, do I need to root and disable that dormancy or what can I fix it somehow when he is on stock, please help.
Phone is acting strange with service I mean all day he is working okay I even restart him 10 time it was okay, and now when battery was low (37%) and I restart him he won't find service I tried to charge him he is now 70% but still nothing no service.
EDIT:
When I restart phone when it is under 57% he won't find service at all, when it is above 57% it finds network after half minute-minute, and when it is on 80, 90 or 100% he finds network instantly.

I got the same issue and I tried several things, like putting my p880 in the refrigerator, but sadly without a solution. I think it's a hardware issue because my phone has never been rooted, and the issue also appeared in the official version. I also got the message "Reorganization of internal processes" when I tried to dial someone. The strange thing that happened to me, is that after a month or so my phone was also unable to connect to wifi networks, so my phone became useless and I was forced to buy a new phone... Did you also read the thread mentioned in my previous reply?

My phone was also never rooted, I also noticed that phone camera won't focus when I record video but when I take pictures it's focusing, strange. I think this phone sucks so much that is forgotten by LG, when I asked them for P880 they are like "go to service we don't know what that issue is" lol wtf ? I gave up, phone is broken I think something is wrong with motherboard. Hmmm maybe I don't remember anymore really.

How To Guide TUTORIAL: How to fix Redmi Note 11 rebooting when unlocked (no data loss)

Hey everyone!
If you're reading this, you probably have the same problem as tens of people here: your phone reboots when you unlock it.
However, don't lose hope! It can be fixed easily and without wiping the system (which was the first way to fix this, but you'd lose your files ).
You need USB Debugging, which, if it isn't already active, can be a pain to enable (I know firsthand lol) but you can do it if you're fast enough (tip: use the settings icon in notifications to open settings faster).
I won't go into enabling it, you can find lots of tutorials online.
Here's how (computer with ADB needed, Google it if you don't know):
Plug your phone in your computer *before* unlocking it, then unlock it and accept connection.
For security reasons, I'll recommend you let the phone reboot now, as we don't want the phone to corrupt even more by trying what's next while the device is mid-reboot (that's the dangerous part).
Then, when the phone's on, don't unlock it, and:
-In a cmd prompt with ADB, type in:
adb shell
-Then:
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.qualcomm.location
Now hopefully, your phone should work normally!

Hi AdonysGames,
Don't take this the wrong way.... but man I love you.... !!!! ;-) lol
---- thank you sooooooooo much, this has saved my life..... Was trying to find a way to back it up, using the ADB PULL commands.... as was expecting to wipe my phone when got in from work.
My phone is doing some weird things at mo, but its not rebooting... I think it needs to settle down, but at least it stays alive...
I tried looking for this too, but there was little info on it as of last night... but so so so glad you found it.
Cheers, Lister
Hi AdonysGames,
I am so surprised this hasn't got more hits/traction, and comments...
Even if you didn't create the fix, the fact you found, published it, and helped others (esp me) as I was so close to wiping my phone... and my brother told me to hold on, don't be so impatient...
Thankfully, got in from work... and this was here!!! - thanks again.
I'd just thought I'd raise it again, as surprised no one else has commented on it, and yet so many are wiping their phones and losing their data... lol
Cheers, Lister
I've tried enabling USB debugging well over a 100 times (in total I took about 4 hours of purely trying to enable debugging) however had no luck. Had to wipe my data out, but luckily, most of it was backed up.

wiping it out fixed the phone?
Hi all, I have the same problem, the phone keeps rebooting while i'm on the menu, waiting the counter to drop 0. Try everything then found a great solution. We want to slow down the faulty process. When the phone slows down? When it's hot. So i use my HOT/COLD GEL pack. Heat it up and put the phone on it. As slowly the phone gets warmer the reboot comes later. 6 sec, 4 sec, 3 sec, and i reach 0 and can turn on the debug mode! Great Success. Now i need to learn adb
the adb was simple just need to download a zip file, then open the powershell with SHIFT+rightclick and then need to access to phone and on the next reboot you can send the ./adb shell order and then the magic line written above

Took me an hour, managed to do it booting into safe mode, enabling battery saving mode, airplane mode and being quick and hitting the confirmation button like crazy.

Hi All,
You don't need Powershell to run these commands, even a normal command prompt will do. That's how I did mine...
The important thing is to check you've installed ADB correctly, and that your device is being picked up / registered.
Easiest way to do that is to type "adb -devices" and if you see some random characters on the line below, it's found your device. If it says nothing below, it hasn't found it, and no matter what you type will have no effect.
If you're struggling to get commands working or using ADB, then use the attached program. Has quick access to certain features and will open a command line shell to ya phone...
Hope this helps,
Lister
I think it worked!!! You guys are amazing people thank you all!!!!!
Thank You, it work.
30min serach and 2 min to solve the Problem.
You save the day

Hi AdonysGames
I had fallen into despair, but thanks to you I was able to recover my phone and save my graduation photos
I hope more people can find this post so that they don't have to lose all the data on their phones, because even deleting the data, the problem persisted.
Your solution is the best, thank you very much
Can confirm this works for the Redmi 10c (Codename Fog) too!
It was a bit tricky enabling developer options between reboots but it was worth it as I was close to performing a wipe before I found this!
Thanks for sharing!

This here saved my life, my phone, and all my data in it. It was very difficult for me to turn on USB debugging in small window of time, before it reboots again. But then I heated up my phone with my laptop charger, basically it's compartment that's get hot when it's charging laptop. I held that part with my mobile, which eventually heated it up. LEGIT giving me 3-4 seconds extra, to turn on USB debugging, and once it turned on. Phone rebooted, and then the USB debugging was already on. I ran those two commands on CMD. AND VOILA. IT WORKED LIKE CHARM
THANKS TO ALL PEOPLE ON THIS THREAD. YOU GUYS ARE REAL CHAMP <3

I literally cried after I finished the 10 sec-usb debugging challenge. I did it by placing my phone near a boiling kettle since im preparing my coffee. The heat from boiling kettle + airplane mode + battery saver did it for me! So crazy, just for my precious files :<
