I'm running Treble Experience GSI by phhusson on my A30GN

The process is simple.....But there are a few requirements that you need to do before hand.
1. Unlock your Bootloader
2. Patch your Boot.img using Magisk
3. Install Twrp. If compatible with your device. In my case I used "Geiti94" Twrp he provided (TWRP_A30_A305F_V3_ASH1.tar) this worked for me even though I've got a A305GN and was flashed using Odin.
4. Download GSI rom of your choice just make sure you download the right version for your phone otherwise you'll face endless bootloops. *****You can use "Treble Info.apk" ***** to find out what your phone system supports as there are 4 types
5. Boot into Twrp, Tap on Wipe then Advanced Wipe then select "Dalvik/Art Cache" System" Data" leave everything else as it is. Then swipe to Wipe.
6. Then go back to Twrps main screen and tap on Install and navigate to where you put the GSI file by Selecting Storage then Install Image this will show only GSI image files. Then select your GSI file then select which Partition to flash to.....Which is SYSTEM.... DONE.

My system is a Arm64 compatible with a SystemAB GSI

I haven't experienced any sort of errors/bugs yet. Everything I use on a daily basis works, but if there are any errors/bugs they have yet to show themselves.
You have to understand that there are going to be errors/bugs in any custom firmware you flash to your phone, that's just the way it is nothing's 100% besides Stock.

I installed AOSP, it was easy. I am from Latin America and I had no problems placing the TWRP or loading the ROM, and the phone works much faster and the battery, it seems to last much longer

What AOSP GSI image did you go with? Was it already Rooted with SU?
Have you manage to resize your screen to allow your icons at the top of your screen to fiit
If you by any chance have "Phh Treble Settings" in your "Settings" then your good to go.

Yes, it is already rooted. I did it with the last one published in AOSP, published 4 days ago I think, download the version with gapps, you ride it with TWRP (it's in img) and that's it

I'm not the OP but when I tried Lineage Phh-Treble, there was an option about diameter of round corners in "Phh Treble Settings"->"Misc settings" and I set that to 20 and then the problem was fixed.

Yep that's the settings your looking for

I have found that not all the Android 10 gsi I've used have this feature, Pixel Experience Q 28102019 being one of them.
so I've flashed this zip via TWRP to regain this ability. I know it doesn't work on all of them but its worth a try for those of you out there willing to give it a go.

I have successfully flashed the aosp 10 gsi (latest one) seems to be working really good.
The transitions seems to be little bit lagging with the stock launcher, and using other launcher totally removes the way task changer works. Which launcher are you guys using?

Can you make us tuturial please:fingers-crossed:

AOSP apps remover v1.2 | Android 7.x | 11/08/16

Disclaimer: I am not responsible for bricked devices or other issues.
For all of you who likes clean ROM and hate duplication between system and user apps folders this tool will help. This will remove all defaults AOSP apps except launcher and keyboard. I suggest after removing to install pico version of gapps or all of this will not make much sense. Also boot animation will be gone, trim it to the bone
For everything else you may need use Play Store. This way upgrading existing apps will not make any duplicates.
Please don't hesitate to post if you like to see some more apps to be included in this remover.
V1.2 11/08/16
Added Development app
Thanks! It would be great to see this in an AROMA format where the user could select which apps to remove.

I've noticed this too on my Nexus 6 regardless of ROM- Google Camera does not show up in the PlayStore. Like others have mentioned if you sideload the apk from somewhere like apkmirror it will work. Alternatively you can try clicking on this direct link from your Nexus 6 and it should hopefully take you to the play store with google camera displayed- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.GoogleCamera

I ran this while doing a clean install of Pure Nexus. Zips flashed in TWRP in this order: 1) Pure Nexus, 2) Full GAPPS (linked from Pure Nexus), 3) B14CKB1RD kernel, 4) phh's superuser, 4) 320 dpi, 5) AOSP apps remover. Google camera was available on first boot. ?
Two possible AOSP app oversights: AOSP keyboard (risky, I get it), and AOSP spell check (part of keyboard app?).
No problems experienced after booting into ROM and getting everything setup to taste. This is now a go-to/must have flash for me. Thanks!

Yeah, on 7.1.1 right now. The Pure Nexus FAQ clued me into these flashables. Adjusting the display size may confuse the DPI change, but a reflash of the DPI zip fixed it for me in 7.0 (and I haven't messed with it in 7.1.1).

why can't I see who is calling me? It's only shows missed calls; awesome zip file (my device is a Moto Maxx, similar to N6) but only this problem that bothers me
Go into settings/apps then click on the cog in upper right corner. Now set your current diaper app as default for phone. This should fix your problem.
any chances to do a flashable zip that could work in all devices?

Which ROM are you using? Heavily modified ROMS like flyme, MIUI, etc don't support Google Smart Lock. I always used SmartLock with RR, CrDroid, LOS and other stock based ROMs with the mini package.
I don't think having pico already installed has anything to do with this. Opengapps zips have scripts to automatically install missing features

I really don't know why it's not working. I used SmartLock in the very same ROM. I clean installed RR 5.8.3, then installed gapps mini before booting. At the end of the first boot setup, Google offers you to enable and set SmartLock. Hope that helps.

It doesn't have the google play services pre installed but, there is a really easy way to install it
Launch the Mi App Store
Search for Google
Scroll down to the bottom of the list and select this option:
Install Google Play on Xiaomi phone
Though the results will be in Chinese, you should be able to make out the Google Installer app
Select Install, then when it has downloaded tap Open
Hit the big blue circular button to begin installing the various components
You will be prompted to allow the phone to install apps from unknown sources - select Settings, toggle on the slider, then proceed with the installation
Allow any prompts for permissions that pop up
I'm waiting for an EU / global version of this - doesn't seem to be forthcoming...

I suggest to wait longer for global or Xiaomi.EU version better than ( Chinese ) because at most xiaomi rolling it for testing before the final touch
I suggest you to keep on stock rom firmware only.
Root it with magisk. Flash it with twrp.
And everything is fine.

Help to de-google my phone

G'day
I'm sick of google and everything they are about. Don't be evil my arse. I already do the simple stuff like using brave browser and duck duck go search. I'm hoping someone can advise me on how to strip my phone of as much google as possible and replace with aosp alternatives. Or even just point me towards some guides on it.
I am using a Samsung galaxy a22 5g rooted with magisk stock rom.
Thanks
I think you might want to flash a custom ROM, then use something like MicroG Magisk, NanoDroid or FOSSApps. Ungoogling an already Googled stock ROM might be more pain than flashing something community developed.
I'm currently running Lineage with Magisk GApps (so I can remove them anytime) and I'm slowly getting ready for the transition. So I'm also looking for more information.
I set up a VPS for myself (might be an overkill for you, but inspiration nonethelss) and I'm hosting OnlyOFFICE Community there and using their apps, I also host my own BitWarden password storage and a mail server (was kinda pain to set it up with all the methods for spam verification). This way some of my most sensitive data is kept on an encrypted drive on a server I myself control.
Then there's getting apps which are mainly available through Google Play - I found that uptodown does host apks, but that's far from an actually viable option (considering you really have to trust them when you're downloading apps there). Alternative stores providing the same apps as Google Play are always kinda worrying to use & trust.
So that's my two cents worth and a starting point, I'll also gladly accept some tips & tricks to accomplish this entirely, it's a long-lasting dream to leave Google altogether.

i think it's better to use a custom aosp rom with no gapps
if you still want stock rom :
make a recovery backup of "system" just in case
mount system
the folders that have apps are :
system/app
system/priv-app
system/product/app
system/product/priv-app
(if you use A11+ check also system-ext/app and priv-app)
delete anyhing related to google
if you don't want to delete use lucky patcher or titanium backup to freez them
if you choose freezing, make a recovery backup of "data"

Hey thanks for the reply and info. Flashing an aosp custom rom would be my usual go to. However I've been on an oppo with unlockable bootlader for last 18 months and now I got this samsung I find there is zero rom dev on this phone. The only options I can find are GSI which is a new concept to me and I'm a little uncertain about going that route.

Do you think I should go with a GSI rom? If safe and stable I'm happy to do the research because I'd love to get a custom aosp rom going on this.
Afaik this samsung can't even access fastboot gotta use the Samsung flashing software instead and the only thread on twrp for this phone is experimental and doesn't seem to be confirmed as working by anyone.
Hence why so far I've stuck with stock and magisk
I used to flash heaps of roms and kernels on older devices but this whole GSI thing is new to me. If it's dicey I'll go the TB route with the folders you pointed me to. Cheers

Cool cheers for your help mate. Touche on the last point. New job with nice pay bump coming so that will be the go I think.
I use Graphene OS on my Pixel 6 and CalyXOS on the 4a. Both are very good degoogled ROMs.
I built a Magisk module for this some time ago. However, it's very likely that it won't work anymore and will probably cause a bootloop. I'm only posting it in case someone wants to use the repo as inspiration.

Well I stand corrected ( said the man in the orthopaedic shoes)
want de-google? buy and iphone and done

Question new information regarding custom or globalrom?

I wanted to ask if there is any new information regarding a global rom or a custom rom? I would definitely be flashing it right away.
Best hope for that will be when the S version is released. According to available information it is virtually identical to the X, so the firmware might be transferable.
can't wait!
Hopefully.
I’m not sure how things will go. I would much prefer working with aosp to get a booting gsi rom personally
TBH I've got the X working so well now that I don't really see a huge need for a new ROM. If someone gets it working and shows a benefit then...
Yes, of course it works and doesn't cause any problems, but I would like only the voice assistants from Google
and android auto, all the rest is ok
Android auto is dead in the game bro'
Are there any new advances?

You can extract boot.img in two ways:
1. What you described
2. Use DSU Loader and pull the file out using the following commands in adb:
adb shell
su
dd if=/dev/block/by-name/boot of=/data/local/tmp/boot.img
