Why is there always someone asking this question?
Yes it probably will but it will still take quite some time until Lineage Os 17 is released officially.

Great! Has anyone tested encryption?

What do you want me to say? Just flash the stock firmware, clean install following the instructions and you're good to go. You clearly missed a step, very likely the part that tell you to format data to remove encryption when coming from stock.

FAQ
Does this ROM have OTA updates?
Yes
LTE/Calls works?
Yes
What's with the root in this ROM?
LineageOS have dropped prerooted roms in favor of a separate root addon. It is the one linked in the first post. This is managed in "Developer options" after you've flashed it.
You can also flash other root options (SuperSU, Magisk, etc.) if you prefer.
How can I contribute to this ROM?
You can contribute to my sources on GitHub by issues in this link.
You're running late on your updates!
This is not my job, and I actually have one. I will try to update frequently but I cannot promise anything.
How can I talk to you?

Lineage based on android 7 was fine for me. It's a interesting project. When the OIS is working properly and maybe the HR sensor too, it would be great.
Until then i stay with my current rom. But thanks for sharing ur project with us. I keep watching
I am going to download and flash it as soon as the download finishes.
I hope the "performance selector" would be back again.

Good rom,working good :good:
Just a question:where to disable fingerprint vibration?
So far, good rom - everything seems to be working well, but phone gets really hot while charging (and less hot using mobile data). Actually phone gets so hot, that it stopes charging.

Wow, thanks. Yesterday i unlock my bootloader. Im now in AOSIP, but maybe later try this one.
I wonder what are the differences between yours and notsyncing's. Is this version more stable?
I tried aosip and lineageos 16, I prefer los 16, although both roms are equally fluid. note that aosip spends a little more battery, although I used it very little. no proximity sensor works, it can also be used daily. for the camera I use the last bgc, I miss the functions of the stock camera, it is the only thing that is made of less than miui.
I am on latest xioami.eu miui 10 beta ROM< and it has also problems with proximity sensor while using phone calls. So it means it is general problem on PIE android.

No, in LOS it doesn't work at all as of now, in xiaomi.eu it may be unstable though on Pie Global miui it's getting better every release.

Thank you very much it works really fine, I have two questions
Is possible to install weather provider for clock?
Is possible to select different ringtone for each SIM?
Thanks
Sorry for my English...
is the second camera working?
Pixel Launcher doesn't work with this ROM, crashes at launch.
Magisk works but had to download and install manually Magisk Manager.
Boot is slower than Pixel Experience Pie but once it boots this ROM is faster overall.
This is great news. I was a long time Lineage user on my Mi5. Using Notsyncing build now on Mix2s because of working proximity sensor. Hope you get it working soon.

Confirms issue.
Also, Quick Charging seems broken... Getting only 500mA from stock wall charger and stock cable. Removed battery info from Recovery and got 1500mA, which is still far below normal; and it reverts to 500mA after reboot!
Also when I enter twrp the battery percentage shown there is usually 20% lower than in LOS. Bizzare.
Guess it could be issue with uncalibrated battery info. Will do a full cycle and see if things change.
For me Pixel Launcher from Playstore works just fine. And its normal that Magisk isnt pre installed

notsyncing's version is a GSI/Treble build. This is a true polaris Lineage OS build made specifically for our device.
Can anyone compare this build and the one from notsyncing for me? Which one is better and why? ? Thanks in advance!
Great! Thanks! I'll move from GSI to this ASAP ? I just wish it's official so I can have OTA ?

Thank you very very much for this great rom, works very smooth and snappy!
My twrp installation got overwritten by LOS-Recovery. It is safe to install TWRP again after installation?
So far I noticed three little bugs:
- Google feed is still missing after installing google search. Maybe this commit is missing: https://review.lineageos.org/c/LineageOS/android_packages_apps_Trebuchet/+/289553
- I can't grant sms permission to google play services. Which unfortunately prevent the installation of google pay
- Automatic brightness seems to be buggy: Sometimes the brightness level changes automatically to the smallest possible value. It will automatically get increased again after a few seconds.

1. That Google feed commit hasn't been merged yet
2. Did you install gapps after the first boot? I've seen other people have that problem when they don't flash gapps with the rom. You can factory reset, or do a clean flash again to resolve the issue.
3. I haven't installed it yet so can't help with that one

What recovery, TWRP or Lineage recovery? TWRP should work, but Lineage one doesn't support userdata decryption by design.

(Yes you have to wipe product. The old partition name was cust, but we use it now as product)
Format data
Reboot to recovery
Download lineage and copy it to your device
Flash lineage
(Download NikGapps core (only stable not canary) - other versions have problems with the clock)
(If you want to flash a different version except core and basic you have to enable the force install to /system in the NikGapps.config. You have been warned !)
For Magisk users:
Please boot lineage fully up
Reboot to recovery
Flash Magisk
Update the ROM:
Download the newest Lineage version
Copy it to your phone
Flash lineage in the recovery
Wipe dalvik
Reboot
Update the ROM for Magisk users:
If your device does not boot after an update please do the following:
Open the Lineage zip
Copy the boot.img from the zip to your phone
Flash the boot.img in the recovery
Flash Magisk
Reboot
When your FOD feels a bit funky please try the following:
Remove all your fingerprints and relearn them without moving your finger to much
If it is still not better please try to recalibrate the FOD

Gcam is working without problems for me. Which one did you use? I'm using GCam_7.3.018_Urnyx05-v.2.4 and I can switch between all lenses

Sorry, my mistake, appologies to you. Camera doing shots in big size. But not pure stable (sometimes freeze or force closed when switch mods), but other things is fully right in ROM, good job. (I have strange problem, after flash and boot, connect with PC good and transfer working, but after some minutes, if i remove all from backup, connect with PC don´t work, but it is which some my apk or settings, I don´t know...)
upgraded from rr to this rom. works good. testting Gcam from burial v8. for me works nice.
What manifest file should I use to build this from source?
Will this ever become a supported device?

Just use the default lineage 18 manifest and then use my device and vendor tree
Thanks!
Can anyone recommend gapps with google setup wizard?
NikiGapps has issues with google setup at first boot.
Nevermind, that's sorted.
Nice work. Waiting for Pixel Experience android 11, lineage os is just too plain for me
Very smooth and fluid rom, kudos to the dev.
Only thing fingerprint, which isn't as accurate most of the time.
Thanks for the great work

How is now your experience with Gcam? Is still fully working without freezing and closing after switch between lenses?
And how resolutions of pictures and size? Working with full potential of original lenses or pictures are smaller and not so good?
I try this ROM only few minutes and i have a problem with freezing and closing (Burial, i think) and quality looking not so good like with same GCam on miui ROM? But maybe I am wrong.
I want clear android very much for this device, thanks developers, but MiNote10 is photo mobile, so need fully working camera.
Thanks for your experience.

FAQ
What Gapps to flash ?
Opengapps
SafetyNet status ?
SafetyNet passes without any mods. if magsik is installed safetynet will fail so you need to hide magisk from the settings to pass again.
Updates ?
Weekly or bi-weekly
dEX WOrKS In tHIs rOM?
Just installed this rom.. it looks amazing and feels smooth. thank you!
This is great! You might wanna try and get this to be a "community build" from the ArrowOS team just so that [UNOFFICIAL] tag doesn't scare people off
(I know it makes me at least a bit nervous when deciding whether to install it)

Mine showing as L1 , still didn't use Netflix so I don't know if fhd will work or not. Just make sure to use unmodified stock vendor

You need to be on stock rom (android 10) , use newer twrp > format data > wipe system, data, cache , flash ROM.
Community builds are live
About "community" builds , these are official builds hosted on arrowos servers they only miss OTA updater. After a while these builds will become "official" with the updater.
There are two variants for each device a Vanilla (no gapps) and Gapps.
Nikkgapps is no longer recommend, if you are one my previous build and flashed nikkgapps , DON'T UPDATE until you do the following
* First Backup your data
* Wipe system
* Flash your current build of the ROM
* Flash open gapps
* Reboot
* If everything is okay , dirty flash rom update. Otherwise clean flash.
Opengapps is recommended one for vanilla builds
Gapps builds should be cleaned flashed to avoid any issues only for the first time , later on you can dirty flash.
If you are coming from another ROM always clean flash.
Pretty good rom, latest AOSP Base, but it have critical bug for me, when I'm switching off the device the Android OS Not Sending Power Off Signal…
I programmed some actions with Tasker on device power off and it not working.
And it can possible lead to some data lost.
Thanks for the great ROM!
The best custom rom android 11
Are there any customizations in this rom?
How is the batterylife compared to stock?
Thanks.
Any idea about moisture detection sensor working on custom roms ?

Hmm , I never used tasker before so I don't know how it work . My best advice is to try it on los18 to see if it is a rom side issue or device tree one.

Regarding ROM updates :
* Community Builds will receive 2-3 updates weekly.
* You don't have to update every time , update whenever you want.
* Any update can be be dirty flashed , no need to flash every update.
* Community builds will become official after some time and will have OTA support
* Check the download link for latest version https://arrowos.net/download

Since I'm here, thanks for the good work king1990, after the initial setup I completely forgot that I'm using a custom ROM since February, which means everything works perfectly!
Thanks a lot for this ROM, which works perfect on my starlte! Because I don't want the full gapps package, I used NikGapps-core to only install the base essentials (play store and play services), and it works OK so far.
I do have a question though: I cannot find the options to enable the "night mode" (redshift the display in the evenings). I was assuming it's a base AOSP feature, but is it LineageOS specific?
