I think you should buy realme x2 pro. Great price for great phone, cheaper than everything and they will add bootloader unlock at some point. Just as good as everything else but cheaper. Also 90 hz screen

does that phone work with tmobile us?

P30 pro best one of all. and the most superior camera, if you are into photography. Also battery life is insane.

Tell that to V50. The only thing that P30 does better is extreme zoom. I've compared it with V50 and it's way behind.

Check dxomark, they have the mate p30 pro as best camera on any phone, they do professional photography rating on devices.

What is your priorities?
First I would eliminate Note 9 in the list cause it has last years processor Snapdragon 845
If you like smaller phones and don`t need 5G I would choose G8 instead of V50
If you need the 3.5mm jack I would only get lg g8 or s10 plus not Note 9 again cause it is aged now.
Tell me your priorities I will tell you what to choose

First, check if those phones cover all the bands your service uses. I'm on Mint, which uses T-Mobile's network. I was previously interested in the P30 Pro, Mate 20 or 30 Pro, etc... But they're not as dev friendly as I want them to be, and they're lacking a couple bands (or more).
I can't get the V50, so I was down to comparing the S10+, Note 10/10+ and the G8. I got a local store to match Amazon's sale price of $499, so I went with the LG G8 (don't buy it from Amazon if you ever want updates).
I tested all the cameras on them in the store, and the G8 was as good or better than all of them. I wanted to buy a global market S10+, but it's simply not worth the extra money to me for what's really a lesser phone.
My previous phone was the LG V40, which was also great, but my wife wanted it, and I was bored...so now it's hers.
Thanks,
Josh

I've compared them side by side and LG V50 murders it. Photos and videos. It's like 30% ahead. Big difference. Also quad dac and so on. Better display, better design etc.
You should check VCX score regarding cameras. LG is no. 1.

IPhone 11 pro max is a nice phone. Great camera, in fact they are made by LG Innotek.
It has great photo quality, but it seems it looses points by some weird artifacts.
Also you should check their methods of testing. Really interesting.

Regarding my opinion about P30 pro, is not based on the VCX score, it is based on my side by side camera comparison.

Is you had both pixel 2 xl and the p20 pro, which works you take on vacation?

I have both phones and deciding which one would be the best for photography. I haven't had much the with the p20 pro.
P20 Pro. Photos are good on both phones but I know I wouldn't have to worry as much about keeping the Huawei charged up.

The Huawei P20 pro is hands down the best for any amateur photography. That being said the pixel 2 xl is better for just about everything else.

If it's photography, P20 by far. I love the nighttime photos! It's insane!
For battery life while taking photographs, the P20 Pro
I have left and right pocket. So, one in my left, another one in my right. Lol
I had both but I sold the 128gb pixel 2 xl because I got more money for it. My intention was to sell the p20 pro.

Oh, you didnt read news ? Its all politics, lol
Short story, US government got paranoid over chinese product & companies,
accusing huawei for supporting china government spy and intelligence activities, banning them from selling their products in US.
Carrier is not allowed to make any new deal with huawei, both products and infrastructure,
And previous deal was terminated.
This is also the reason why older huawei phone that sold in US wont get any new update/ota.

Don't really watch the news. Only what's relevant to me, huaweis deal with a different country wouldn't normally affect my life, in this case it's affecting development of a phone I've got lol but that's it.
So it's money really, makes sense being the US.
I'd have took the deal unless they were trying to undercut them.
Cheers btw

Huawei p30 pro vs oneplus 7 pro

Hi guys! I'm own a p30 pro 256gb Aurora for 3 weeks and after I saw oneplus 7 pro I have some thoughts to switch..
What u think? Is it worth or not?
What your opinion?
Thank you.
P30 Pro 256gb Aurora Power
Depends on what you want from a phone.
I wouldn't consider a swap myself, but this article details some of the major differences between them:
https://www.stuff.tv/features/oneplus-7-pro-vs-huawei-p30-pro-which-best
What is it you like about the 7 Pro that differs from P30 Pro? I don't see any benefits myself...
I saw a couple video reviews of the 7 pro and the audio quality seems really bad which puts me off. But then again the oneplus will have better root/rom support and has a better screen. I would miss the ultra fast charging of the P30 pro too much to make the switch.. But its preference really.
Does p30 pro supports hdr10+?
Sent from my SM-A720F using Tapatalk
I'd hang fire a bit, P30 is awesome but seems like huawei released it 'unfinished'. I think it's true potential will only come to light after a few more updates. I hope so anyway, this was hella lotta cash to have some faulty stuff with it out the box; cartoon wobble issue from front facing cam, red tinge issue, shocking 4k stutter during video panning. Main things for me. However, have taken some of the best pics so far on a smartphone (tried most current flagships), 1080p is good enough and things are improving update by update. I also feel of all the gesture implementations (pixel 3,oplus etc.) huawei nailed it. Hopefully there will be further improvements, enough for me hold on a while yet. If your a root and rom lover op7 gonna tempt you over, won't be long before gcam gives it a boost too. Personally need a phone to work as intended, too much time wasted flashing and putting phone in a less capable state for the sake of some 'enhancement', 'feature'. But yeah, tempted as you maybe, definitely wait a bit, be hard to forgo this camera tech. Have a look into the USB method to get you up to. 153 already. Phone is super smooth after this. Await more cam improvements though. :good:
hi
any new opinions on this topic, I just broke my Honor View 10 and need to replace the phone, P30 pro or OP 7Pro have similar prices (used ones)
P30 pro have better battery life and camera (maybe), but OP 7Pro will have longer support but P30 is getting v2 because of all USA bullcrap and bans ( not sure what that can mean for older P30 and their updates)
P30 Pro is cheaper (used and can find one with 6GB instead of 8GB more expensive variant)
any suggesstions what to get?

4. Mate 20x

OnePlus 7 Pro
- Triple Camera
- 90hz QHD+ Curved AMOLED Screen
- Android 10 (Fast Updates)
- OxygenOS
- WARP Charging
- Snapdragon 855
- 8/12GB RAM
- 128GB/256GB Storage
- UFS 3.0 Storage
One Plus 7T Pro (overall its the best)
Mostly same as the 7 Pro but has Snapdragon 855+ (4% faster chip), 20% faster charging and 85mAh bigger battery.
it ain't much difference but it's better then regular one. Also if price ain't the issue buy McLaren Edition with 12gb of ram.
So 90Hz QHD+ AMOLED display, fast storage, 256GB storage, Triple Cameras, WARP Charging, no Bloatware and fast updates.
BUT if you take alot of pics and videos take P30 pro. It's cameras are way ahead of OnePlus. But it won't be supported for future Android updates.
As for Samsung S10 it's has the best display I've seen so far, cameras are also good. Runs well also. Battery is good (for my use) and has good sounding speakers. The only downside Samsung stock apps. I use Google apps for everything and having double of everything is annoying. Also Bixby SUCKS!!!
No s10+...kuz im using one
S10 Plus / Note9 because they are great phones and Samsung Dex is crazy great.
1. S10 plus = stereo sound ,4k 60FPS 960FPS slowmotion, but the exynos version getting hot fast
3. P30 pro = no 4K 60 @fps slow real slow motion is max at 240frames ) amazing night shots
4. Mate 20x (better telephoto lens if you need this)
7. Any other = like other said here op7 pro (no kind any notch ) 90hz etc UFS 3 storge ..
dont know \ didnt read enough about the other devices
I have the U.S. variant of the S10 plus and the battery life is crazy good.
I have US s10+ and I do not have one complaint. I actually don't mind Samsung's apps and almost have zero google apps (Just google news and maps). Screen is amazing, battery is great, phone is speedy and I have really grown to love oneui over stock android os. Oneui can do so much more. The only thing I want is a 90hz display (hoping the s11 will have it)

its nice to see someone on here with a sense of humor!
back to the topic tho, i honestly cant suggest anything right now. The hype of the S9 and the polar reviews of it makes it really hard to recommend anything with any real confidence unless you have had hands on real life experience and even then. Ya know what i mean? I like my S9, but it wasnt the extraordinary leap that it was made out to be. That being said, i came from the A8 which is a huge underdog IMHO. The front facing camera on the A8 is vastly superior to the S9. No, not a selfie person, i just have some extended family in Romania and the video quality on their end was mentioned several times when i switched to the S9.
The major releases of phones come out early in the year, so this is a good time of year to hunt for a model half way thru its first year and then the hunt for the deal is on. So its a hard call to make. Get a killer deal on an aging phone or wait to be a guinea pig in the spring.

It's almost better to wait until a phone has been out for a year, then read the reviews and decide. Of course, you're then a year behind the latest and greatest.

Should I buy this phone ?

So,I'm due an upgrade this year and usually stick with Oneplus and currently have a 6T,
My usual upgrade would take me to a Oneplus 8 but I'm reading not so many great things about these phones such as hole punch cameras and the price is gonna be crazy for the Standard 8 and 8 pro
But here we have a phone that will probably be similar in specs and possibly better in places with the X2 pro.
I'm not crazy anymore about OxygenOS,sure it's great but it's boring after all these years. A little more features or some might say bloat can be useful and I hear ColorOS is pretty good in this regard.
Oneplus has slowed with updates for older devices so I think I could live with less updates.
Would you guys upgrade to a X2 pro considering you can get the 12/256 model for €449 now on Amazon or should I wait to see what Xaomi do though the k30 doesn't look that appealing if it turns out to be the mi 10.
Did anyone upgrade from a 6 or 6T to this phone ?

Yes, Ideally this would be true but I think the next gen of high end SD chips are gonna be more expensive and power hungry due to uneeded 5g. a lot of mid range well priced phones from Xaoimi will be having mid range chips like 765.
I actually think there is a good case to skip the next gen of chips because they are mainly for 5g which most users in the world dont need
I personally encourage you to get this phone. ColorOS has some interesting features and it's rock solid. The phone is very responsive and I have a good SOT. Talking about battery, the VOOC charging is unbelievably fast! I have so much to say about the Realme X2 Pro, but the conclusion is that I don't regret my decision.

Probably the best value for the money at this time :good:
Pros
90hz Display which is very good
UFS 3.0
12gb Ram (top variant)
256gb Storage
50w SuperVooc
Great design & build.
Decent Cameras.
Cons
ColorOS still needs work and that comes in 0S7, with realme perhaps doing their own thing?
Cameras are just average (made better with Gcam) although as yet still not a stable build for the X2 Pro.
Overall for what you are paying them yea it's a very very good purchase :good:

Lol,makes sense, though from what I've seen on YouTube and other reviews the cameras are pretty competitive with other flagships, not the greatest but decent in most departments,
I personally don't like using gcam because its usually unstable and annoying.
Still not convinced by the phone though with ColorOS though it should be interesting to see what colorOs7 is like.

ColorOS runs just fine in terms of performance, it's just a bit disorganized, Cameras they are perfectly fine in good light, but I'd say they do struggle and the Samsung made GW1 64mgp sensor isn't great, but the price you can let the cam be the way it is, it's not shockingly poor, it's just average and the price point for everything else made it a great purchase for me.

OIS is not needed in any kind of way thanks to the Snapdragon 855+ and 12 GB Ram
i can tell you the difference , when i was using the P20 Pro i had always lags making any kind of video.
using the X2 Pro with 30 or 60 FPS its like Butter , also the way the camera reacts like speed focus etc you dont even need OIS so trust me you would have a lot of fun
The Only bad thing about the Camera is the Night Shot Mode ... you cant compare it with Huawei
but without that its simply perfect in my eyes and i did a lot of pictures using the stock camera app

Huawei are very good for low light so I would never expect the X2 pro to compare. What about updates ?
I believe the phone will receive support for Android 10 and 11. Updates every two months with security patch and a big update soon to colorOS 7,
Have you received timely updates as yet ?
Tbh it's a huge upgrade over the 6t... It's better in everyway except oxygen and as I've said before to others the euro version from Amazon Spain is one of the most bloat free and fluid operating systems around. Regarding the camera I've got to agree with @natedogg20050 it's a excellent camera and if you know how to use it correctly I've mostly got better shots then my son's mate 20 pro and wife's view 20.... Then when you consider the price to spec it's truly unbeatable in my opinion. I've had the OnePlus 6t and loved it but to me the X2 pro is far better.
Edit: Regarding updates I've received 1 update each month since getting the phone.

Thanks for the input,I looked at many reviews and comparisons over the last while and have concluded that the X2 pro is the best and most interesting deal out there.I am now bored with my 6T and wanted a change so this morning on Christmas I have just ordered my X2 pro 12/256 model in blue from Amazon Spain to receive it next week.
In regards to camera, most if not all the reviews I have looked at are positive. Ive seen that they have improved camera quality in recent updates also , particularly with low light shots.
I think people who do criticise are only nitpicking generally that a particular color may not be exactly the same as it is real life or stupid little things like that. The camera from what I've seen is excellent for the price including everything else.
Excited to use a phone with 12gb ram also,as I've only ever had 6 at most,90hz should be fun too and the little features of ColorOs.
Merry Christmas everyone.
I still cannot decide between OnePlus 7T and Realme X2 Pro. Coming from a really clean Moto G4+ experience and being kind of a power user (not gaming wise but regarding usage time & used features), I'm a little afraid that Color OS maybe couldn't deliver my wished quality. And video OIS and night capabilities of the 7T camera seems to be much better considering many YouTube comparisons.
On the other hand Realme offers super fast charging, interesting software features (three finger screenshot crop and all this nice little things) for a much lower price tag.

Ok this is the comparison between both smartphone , it may not contain all features offered by both brands like truetone or other gaming tools like armory crate...
In my opinion Rog phone 2 is the better buy and probably the best buy of 2019/2020 ( of course we will see rog phone 3), because it offer more features and
it has the best value for money. there is no perfect phone in the world. the perfect phone is based to human needs. But this this a battle between 2 phone with same price. iphone se 2 is overpriced and it has the body of iphone 8 with a13 and better camera, nothing more...
I don't need to go swim with it, charge slowly with wireless charger or make photographer photos and videos ( gcam already make excellent videos and photos).
Make your choice and let me know whitch is better in 2020!
Does anybody buy the 8gb version of the rog2? Your comparison could be summed up as iPhone versus Android and that's what 99% of the people will make their decision based on.
depends on what you need...
if its for gaming then ROGPHONE 2.if not the iPhone SE 2020.

at first i bought the 8/128 WW version. then after 1 month i upgraded to the 12/512 WW version.not much of a difference in speed if you ask me,but the 128GB ROM worries me haha.
Its actually funny how these are similarly priced. After using ROG 2 for almost 3 months, even if someone offers me a damn iPhone SE for free, I'd throw it away without even looking at it. The superiority of ROG 2 is just unimaginably higher, and I don't even game.

Think it all ultimately comes down to Android Vs iOS. No Android user will get Apple stuff and vice versa. And also if you want iPhone SE for status, it actually appears the exact opposite. iPhone SE just seems cheap.

The iPhone SE 2020 is the iPhone 8 done over again. It has the exact same hardware and the only change is the A13 processor and that's why the phone is faster and the camera is a bit better. No innovation at all.
The ROG phone II is better than the SE 2020 in my opinion. (Because it has 120hz refresh rate)

Who really needs more than 8gb of Ram? But you get more storage if you really need it
(128GB 8GB RAM, 256GB 12GB RAM, 512GB 12GB RAM, 1TB 12GB RAM)
Wtf is this. What comparison is that?
Pls, surrender xD

Except in camera, the Rog P2 is even superior than iPhone 11 Pro Max. I would love to know when this comparison started to have sense. In things like, as always, 5y iPhone (app)dates? IP rating? ****ty wireless charging? Cmon guys... it's all done here.

Yes, against the 11 Pro Max.... My ROGPHONE 2 only sucks at the camera department... The rest is pure crazy. Thats why im still using it instead of moving to the S20 Ultra.

True. Funny enough, I feel this phone is much better than S20 Ultra. Battery life is almost double of it. People report around 8 to 9 hours SOT on S20 Ultra because even if you set the resolution to 1080p, there's still going to be battery drain equivalent to 1440p resolution. My ROG 2 on Android 9 gets like 18 to 20 SOT easily. And then there's Air Triggers, no punch hole, better optimised stock UI, better speakers, and much better vibration motor. Best phone till date easily. Only ROG 3 will beat this, and then ROG 4 lol.

Thank you for reminding me no punch hole. Playing CODM or PUBG on my Note 10+ is such a horror. Put a key near the punch hole and yeah fml. Instant loser dinner lmao.
As for price. In Indonesia the ROGPHONE 12/512 costs around USD$900. The S20 Ultra 12/128 costs around USD$1100. And the 11 Pro Max 512GB costs around USD$1600.
If people here really knew the price of the ROGPHONE 2 here, they would go bonkers. As why would 1 pay so much for a "****ty" brand.
People in Indonesia even know more about Oppo and Vivo compared to Asus, because Asus does very little advertising in Indonesia.
And Asus Indonesia is well known for being 1 of the worse phone seller. ****ty aftersales and they always take 3-6 months to get the phone into Indonesia. Released September 2019,they got it in on January 2020(8/128) and February 2020(12/512). Same goes for the ROGPHONE 1... Zenfone 6...

Yeah and it's also much better watching videos without any obstruction on the screen. And also not only in Indonesia, but ASUS does poor marketing throughout the world. All of their phones deserve much better recognition, including the Zenfone high tier series. They're much better than the other brands. They actually deliver what the people need.
