LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.
Instructions
Go to https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-a70/development/recovery-twrp-galaxy-a70-t3955984 and install TWRP (always use the latest version)
Reboot to recovery
(Optional) Create backup
Reboot
Downloads
https://github.com/Grarak/android_device_samsung_a70q/releases (Choose lineage-17.0, do not download pre-release, includes changelog)
Working
Everything, but
Known issues
Selinux permissive
VoLTE/VoWifi not working
Camera only shows up to 8MP
NFC is enabled on all models, even on the ones without it (please report device model)
Dualsim is enabled on all models, even on the ones without it (please report device model)
Screen flickering when using fingerprint (That's normal and how optical fingerprint sensors work. Flickering doesn't happen on stock I know, but that's due to poor UI implement from lineage site)
TWRP can't decrypt your data
Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

FAQ
Can I use this ROM to boot other GSIs?
You can but I won't provide any support. If you are stuck in a bootloop or something does not work, you have to look for a fix yourself. Here is a list of things that will probably be broken when using a GSI:
Fingerprint
Fingerprint doesn't work anymore after flashing a new build/installing magisk/etc.!
Redo your fingerprints.
I can't enroll any fingerprints!
Turn off night mode/lower night mode intensity.

Thanks for great work.
It's possible to root?
Magisk or addon for lineage or what?
Regards.

II'm so glad to have you, I get to experience Android 10 soon.i will test this rom
I have some question
1. TWRP can't decrypt your data: can i backup the rom? (system, recovery, boot, data,etc...)
2.Camera preview is broken for 4:3 aspect ratio: Does it affect image quality?
3.Selinux permissive: what is this? Is that important?
Wait for your stable version

Works well. Unlike v 16 it installs on my russian version of A70. Gapps installs and work well too.
Thanks for great work.

How would one upgrade from the previous version to this current one while keeping Magisk and root? Just dirty flash it over TWRP without wiping anything? Thanks in advance. ( :

I've rooted with magisk on previous rom. The root is kept during upgrade.
So far...
bluetooth speakers do not work. Tried a few different
Wallpaper app not installed or not working

And what about GApps? Do they need to be reinstalled when upgrading? Is there even a version available for Android 10?

Edit:
New release
https://github.com/Grarak/android_device_samsung_a70q/releases/tag/20191025

The latest version installs on top of the initial release well but won't run. Do I have to wipe for it to run?
The initial version had problems with making calls from the second sim. Upon placing a call the signal disappeared and connection dropped. in a couple of seconds the connection reestablished.

Thank You so so so so much Grarak for your hard work and for your time. I appreciate it. I am going to install and test this rom now.

Oh wow a real ROM for the A7 2017. HUGE thanks @forkbomb444
Before I begin to test this, can you confirm a few things?
Will this be updated regularly just as the A5 2017 gets updated? I understand if it takes a few more extra days to update it.
Are the current bugs the same as the A5 2017?

It probably will be released roughly in-step with the A5, but maybe more/less often depending on how much spare time I have.
Bugs should be the same as the last A5 release (from yesterday). I haven't run into any at all so far.
Thank you very much for the work.
But little problem:
SIM card not detected.
photos do not store on the SD card or internally.
An idea ? solution?
Please add in the description current errors and bugs, as well as performance it will be very useful

Amazing work!
Thank you dude.!
But I have 2 problems:
Photos don't store on the SD card or internally, and 4G not work, only 3G.
A question, this rom have AOD?

Wow! Thanks a lot! Just some dumb questions, is it possible to update from the official 14.1 to this one now? I tried this multiple times with Luk's builds but couldn't get the ROM to boot appropriately going this way. Is it something related to the different signatures?
Some screenshots for you guys, soon a quick review. :good:

Yes, of course I did. This way works perfectly but I don't have my DATA, more precisely, I don't have my banking app's data. Titanium Backup is useless in this case and if I were to restore only the /data partition, the same problem would happen again. I've been doing that dirty install for a long time and it hasn't been a problem for me, I just clean install when I do some unrecoverable sh*t, which in this case, I can make use of the restore function on TWRP. I clean install when I used to downgrade to another Android version too, but I don't do this anymore.
And now I remember, Google put some verifications on the Oreo's boot process, maybe it's the reason for all that.
battery backup
how was the battery back up & performance? cuz luk's roms don't have last long battery backup

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

Maybe a stupide question, but unzip and flash system?
Any known issues right now? Also is signature spoofing available?

Well, while you don't have to wipe system you will have to wipe data if you're coming from stock or any other ROM.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 9 (Pie), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

You are incredible man!
And that "Windows 8 mobile" put a smile on my face! Good one!
So, flashed this. There's no gapps that works with 9 right now (at least all I could find and try, didn't work. No setup wizard and apps crashing)
The system boots and looks nice, but all apps crashing upon launch. Even file manager. So I couldn't try much of this build.
However it boots, and that's a good start! Thanks @LuK1337

Weird! I flashed without gapps and camera, gallery and file browser couldn't start.
Thx, Luk1337 for your work.
I will wait this time and hope for official (so hopefully no clean Install)
This is the right thread....
The multitasking only shows black previews, and night display mode is missing, but the system is so smooth! If you could provide an option to turn on nav bar, and new gestures it would be ?
Nice job man!
Thanks a lot for the ROM.
Working great on T819Y ( flashed after removing assert.device & assert.firmware lines in update script& used bit gapps)
ROM is smooth, only had minor issue of vibration not working.
Thanks

Thanks for your efforts on this build! Most things are running great but I've into to a couple of issues. I've got stock launcher, Nova and pixel launcher and it has to be reset(choose default launcher) after every restart. The other item I've noticed is that location is not working, so none of weather apps/widgets work. I'm sure it will get sorted, just wanted to let you know. Thanks again.
Gboard doesn't stick either. Reverts to asop upon restart

I tried everything, also different Gapps of the same series (fulls/stock), but also not working.
Maybe it's just a question of the Gapps? Is someone having a working version of the Gapps?
-Google Play Services and all Google Apps are not starting at all. I do have a nice Android Pie startscreen and Settings Screen, but not more

OMG I can't believe!
Thanks Renan.
Just shows you what quality project LOS is,
and what quality manufacturer Motorola is (for their good-value-for-money hardware and releasing source code drivers too)
Xt1063. Clean flash rom+Bitgapps arm for q, doesn't boot, same for clean flash rom+open gapps for q Beta... Stays on LOs boot animation then it reboots into recovery.
Flashing only rom works.... Really smooth btw
