Help with Tasker and Greenify

Hello everyone, I just started using Tasker with the main focus of creating a task to hibernate my greenified apps and lock the screen with a single gesture/shortcut.
I know that Greenify has a dedicated widget, but I also want to retain Lollipop smart lock functionality and (as far as I know) this is only possible by locking the screen with Tasker and not with the Greenify shortcut or others lock screen apps.
By the way, I created the task you can see in the screenshots attached and it is fully working when I click the "play" button in the Tasker app. However, if I create a shortcut on my home screen pointing to the task and click on it, nothing happens I also tried exporting the task as a standalone app, but it's not working either
Am I missing something?

If your using Nova you can set the gesture double tap to the greenify shortcut to hibernate lock screen. It works really well.

Heard both of those apps cause nothing but problems. Especially tasker

I do exactly what you describe. Here is my setup.
Task is three parts:
Hibernate now
Wait - 500ms
System lock
Then create a shortcut or whatever to run the task. The 500ms wait was needed or else Greenify wasn't doing its thing.

Nah, both these apps are awesome. Tasker handles half of what I do on my phone. Used it for years.

Greenify has more then doubled the life of my battery. Its awesome.. Tasker is a pain to setup but can do everything greenify does plus endless others.

OK, I got it working [emoji2] one more question though, do we have to keep Tasker running (I mean, enabled) even if we launch the task with a shortcut?

Tasker runs as a service, at least in my usage case.

How to Turn off Hands on??

Hello guys ,
I want to ask if this thing is possible to turn it off .
i dont like the fact that our screens are on every 10 sec if u just move your hands and your phone is in front of you ( e.g on a table)
I couldnt find this setting in Settings or Moto app .

It is in moto app under moto display settings. I disabled it

Correct, go to Moto Display, tap the "More Settings" button under Moto Display and then uncheck "Approach to wake up"

Broken notifications on MIUI 10

Hey guys.
I have a weird issue with all apps on the latest MIUI 10 release for the Mi 8 SE.
The problem is that I don't get notifications from a single app when new info in it arrives, be it Email, Whatsapp or XDA Labs.
Only when I actually enter the app do I suddenly get to see all the new messages and missed voice calls, as if the app wasn't even allowed to work in the background.
Anyone else experiencing this?

Setting notifications to Urgent may help you.

have you tried going to settings>battery>app battery saver? still waiting for 140 hours bootloader unlock :/

Yeah, I did but it didn't change anything.
The only solution I could find was to lock the specific apps in the background with the recenta menu.
However, that increased the stand-by drain.
I have to wait for around 250 hours.

In the current Miui 10 beta, the default notification settings for most apps are set to off.
Goto to settings > notifications > app notifications
And you have to turn on individual notification types for every individual app in there. Doesn't fix the lock screen notifications though.

It's all already enabled. I even set the notifications as Important.
I'm not a potato, I know that MIUI is tricky but things that should fix the issue don't seem to work on the latest MIUI 10 build.

hello i want get a MI8 soon, but working notifications (mainly whatsapp) are important for me, will there be notifications in the Always on display or when the notification arrive that the display on for few seconds, and does the notificationlight work? i dont want first open the app for see if there is a new message, i need the push notifications working. any news ?

Works fine here. Don't use AOD though as I have an Amazfit Bip. Notification light works too.

I flashed the MIUI 10 from Xiaomi.eu and everything works fine.
And there's also no Chinese crap, even the Music app is without it.

if i disable the notch, will the notification icons are displayed on the screen ?

Weird i had lastest release from Xiaomi.eu and it didnt work......with 9.5 works perfectly

I dont receive any push notification for line (the one that slides down from the top whenver there is message) i have tried turning on the toggle for Message Notifcation but whenever i go back to the section the toggle is set to OFF automatically i'm really pissed. Anyone can help ? Xiaomi Mi 8 MIUI 10

Huawei p20 pro screen not waking up when recieving notifications

Hi guys my huweii p20 pro screen wont wake up when recieving notifications. Iv seen a post about the option in lock settings but it isnt there on mine please help. Iv just got the phone today its my first android after always being an iPhone user and its not a good start!

Go to Settings.... Apps & Notifications.... Notifications & Status Bar... You will find a switch Notification Turn On Screen.

Its not there, i read on another forum it could be a problem with the update but iv never had an android before is there a way to take the update off?

can you give some more information about your build number and region

Notifications not showing on lock screen, any fix?

I noticed that all my notifcations wont show on screen and in the status bar, until i unlock the device. Is there a way to fix this?
The apps do have the permission to show while locked in their individual notification settings.
EDIT: They do show- but only once. After unlocking, they will always show unlocked only- never on the lockscreen.

Maybe you have a custom lockscreen?some custom themes have a custom lock screen and notification dnt show
