Really need help for unlocking my huawei P8 Lite 2017 - P8 Lite (2017) Discussion

Hi guys,
i have a huawei P8 Lite 2017 (PRA-LX1) - Build 8.0.0.400(C432) - EMUI 8 - Andorid 8 Oreo.
I regretted buying huawei because of the difficulty in modding, but you know.....it's too late for regrets
So, i have i few questions you you:
1)How can i unlock bootloader (I already have the bootloader unlock code)
2)Could you please link me the download of the right TWRP for my phone and tell me how to flash it?
3)After all this, How can i root my phone? can i simply follow the Magisk guide?
I would like to know all these things in the simplest and clearest way possible. Thanks

If you have the unlock code, then follow tutorial to unlock the bootloader of Huawei

I'm currently using Havoc OS 2.9 ( treble rom) and its working great.
Huawei is Such a pain... Welcome to The World of Huawei
Steps...
You must have a Stock recovery saved in your PC.
You must have your Stock rom with huru Updator saved in your PC.
If you don't have these, then don't proceed with Custom roms
PS... I'm not a developer, I'm just a regular user with some experience with Honor 8 lite

It's a common way to get root with unlocked bootloader and TWRP, nothing special here.

Help rooting Huawei P8 Lite 2017

Hello
Follwoing a previous thread I contacted Huawei regarding the bootloader code that is apprently needed to unlock the phone. They no longer provide them.
Can anyone confirm it's still possible to root those phone models?
I can't do anything with it, I'm running out of space and can't install anything else any longer.
I'd be thankful if someone could help in this matter and provide instructions or links.
Many thanks

Huawei P30 PRO FIRMWARE DOWNGRADE to Huawei P20 PRO

Hello everybody,
I'm going to try but I have a little question:
I want to root my Huawei P30 PRO.
Do you think I can force downgrade the firmware to one of P20 PRO ?
I want to use a P20 PRO firmware on my P30 PRO : Do you think it's possible ?
I'm going to try with Engineer Settings but I don't think it's going to work !
I will update this Thread with my results !
Thanks you all !

If you want to get a new motherboard or even a new phone, you can try )). Don't use a firmware from another device, m8. Plus that, in order to get root you'll have to get an unlocked bootloader, which is not possible, due to Huawei politics.
So sit back and relax, if you want to root devices, sell your P30 Pro and buy another phone (Samsung, One Plus, Xiaomi) who let u unlock bootloader and root device.
Cheers,
SilviuO

I know how to read bootloader unlock code from the firmware itself with a private Exploit.
But it does work only with the firmware wich has been not patched by the patch in June 2018 !!!
Despite they don't give away unlock codes my exploit work with the firmware vendor.img dump !
So do you think I can downgrade ?
Thanks !
Don't ask for me to release my exploit :
1st - You can buy it
2nd - It's private
Thanks !

NO, buddy, if you use the P20 Pro firmware you'll mess up with your motherboard and have to get it repaired. The P20 Pro processor is different than P30 Pro's, the security and kernel the same... BUT it's your choice, anyway.
I'm not interested in your exploit because i'm sure that it's not usable on Kirin 980 devices
This sounds like a poor attempt to sell an exploit - that probably won't work anyway.
If you are 100% set on rooting your phone then you can pay FunkyHuawei for the bootloader unlock code (assuming it only goes up to Android 9 currently?).
If you are dead set on trying to force P20 Pro firmware on to your P30 Pro then go ahead, but there should be a disclaimer that you will get laughed at if you then post a 'HELP I BRICKED MY P30 PRO!!!!! WHAT DO I DO???' thread.
If you know how to develop an exploit, then you should already know the answer to your own question. ?
Okay thanks you all.
You can close this thread.

Huawei p8 lite 2017: is there a way to root without unlock code OR downgrade?

Hi everyone,
I hope some of you can answer my question.
I have a Huawei p8 lite 2017 phone and the unlock bootloader code is no more available from Huawei, so how can I root my phone?
I red the article
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p8lite/general/guide-unlock-bootloader-root-device-t3977067
and since the guide is for p8 lite with android 6 downgraded to android 5, I was hoping that there is a way to downgrade android 8 to android 5, or something, in order to unlock the f***g bootloader...I am exausted!
I hope someone knows the answer
Thank you
I :fingers-crossed:
Hi!
I'm looking for your answer too!
I have read this article but i havent still tested it.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p8lite/general/bootloader-unlock-code-web-page-gone-t3783215/page3
Maybe it's working?
Thank you, Mahtieu.

[HELP] Upgrading from Resurrection Remix - Nougat to Android Oreo, 9 or 10.

I'm using Huawei P8 Lite 2017, with Resurrection Remix Custom Rom by Haky86, on Android Nougat.
I was hesitant to upgrade before (2017) because at that time, many phones were bricked trying to upgrade to Oreo.
There were also some Vendor complications (China & Europe) for custom roms in Oreo.
I remember there were Partitions A & B? I didn't know what were those about.
I also still remember a warning to not use the most up to date version of our Stock Oreo Rom for our phone when trying to install the default stock rom for treble support.
I still have my bootloader unlock code, bootloader is unlocked, rooted, I've also watched a YouTube video how to upgrade using TWRP.
All I need now is some assistance with what not to do, some links to point me in the right direction, some info with what I've missed during these years like is TWRP still the main recovery? Or something I should take note of.
Up? Anybody?
Re-up. I really just need some opinions, feedbacks or experiences really. Someone to chat with would be nice in this thread.

This one? HuRUpdater 0.4: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/tool-hurupdater-0-4-flash-official-firmware-in-recovery.3769279/
Is it easier and verified to be safer (no bootloop/bricked device), than the second guide below?
Do I have to rebrand first my oeminfo to "AL00C/AL00X/TL10C B220"?
I was gonna follow this guide: https://www.xda-developers.com/huaw...e-android-oreo-update-project-treble-support/

Wait, nevermind. I remember that it was only necessary since those versions were the only ones with Oreo updates before.
But now, PRA-LX2 has an Oreo update already, so it's not necessary to rebrand
Thanks, now I feel brave to upgrade.
I'll follow this guide by Fr0nK: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-emui8-and-treble-rom-on-p8-lite-2017.3773216/

yeah, that's the correct topic. I cannot guarantee any tool, use at your own risk.
I use it on pra-la1 and can confirm that workers. use suitable twrp and read the instructions.
